Hello folks. I have a landscape question: Can you plant trees onto an imported landscape mesh? I imagine painting them on is out of the question, but can a foliage volume be applied, with controls on density and where the trees even are? (My landscape actor is not perfectly lining up with my imported Maya mesh template, so with time being what it is, I want to know if I can make the Maya mesh land mass work as a landscape, through a foliage volume and later, with layered materials.) Great video, but I can't help feeling like this is an absurd amount of setup for something that is otherwise really easy to achieve with landscape layers. And considering I'd want to tweak the margins, editing the biome texture becomes a complete hassle whereas just painting with layers is simple and instant

Question 1 - have any reason to use Mutable Plugin? I dislike Mutable Plugin - looks intresting - but its time killer - need make 100500 assets for each clothes and 100500 logic elements for each cloth. If something changed - you need again find and rework logic in 100500 elements. Maybe better create self customize logic?

At the 33 minute mark I start the rigging by importing the Metahuman mesh and my article of clothing. I select the clothing, hold shift and parent the object and soon as I do the clothing is no longer visible. It hides it so I go to the collections panel and unhide it and it still isn't visible. Because I can no longer see it I cannot go into the tools area to add a modifier and I have no idea how to remedy this. Any ideas from the OP and/or others? Thanks in advance.

I don’t know why, but when I use the FX node in the textures graph, everything turns black, even after enabling LV, Log, and EQ and following the steps you did. When I try to export erosion to Unreal, the PNG also appears completely black. Could you please help me with this?

Hi! Yes if you are making just a jacket. If you have let's say a combined outfit (space suit) then head weight can come handy, I just try to cover as much has I can , its up to everyone else to adjust to their project needs.
Yeah I know cause it’s the same way for any other kind of rigged clothing for UE The other way would be USD from MD for active clothing ( which don’t work on Mac)
