Since this is my personal project i have went trough ton of complicated steps, but if you fallow my custom metahuman tutorial you can get 90% there. Just sculpt MH head to look like cat mesh and use that to upload to MH creator.
Really helpfull! I'm making a character with tail these days and you are a savior! Could you also share the technique of how you rig the ears and tails to a metahuman?
Ears for this is rigged on MH ear bones, but it's tricky. Alternative is to create new bones for car ears and rig them (and set weight 0 to original ear bones). its good approach and probably easier since you need to add extra bones for tail anyways. For tail I just drag out few bones for hip, really basic. Tail is separate mesh so I can toggle it on and off if in future I decide to add some clothing to my cat.
Assertion failed: CellIndex < uint32(Cells.Num()) [File:D:\build\++UE5\Sync\Engine\Plugins\Runtime\HairStrands\Source\HairStrandsCore\Private\GroomBindingBuilder.cpp] [Line: 959] I am getting this any idea how to resolve it when creating binding?
thanks for the tutorial, please tell me I followed your recommendations, but with facial animation, beard, eyebrows, etc. do not follow the skin, although when turning the head, everything is fine
Maybe silly question...and i think its a yes or no here, but you have to create a texture on the mesh's uv, and then that's how you would color the hair/fur? It's the underlying mesh that defines what that pattern would be?
Underlaying mesh (one used in blender) defines groom UV layout, but you can use completely different color textures for mesh and fur, textures don't need to match, just UV layout. So for example FUR can have stripes but skin can be solid color.
It's scene issue not MH, that flicker showed up in rendering, haven't looked into it, since didn't wanted to render scene again. But I did other renders outside that scene and didn't had any flicker.
Hi! I have 3 videos on this topic - How to create a custom metahuman, custom clothing and fur. They should give enough knowledge to create something similar.
As I see, you’re doing cool things with MetaHuman. I wanted to ask if it’s possible to create a child or a baby with MetaHuman? Could you do that for us? I’m just curious if it could work :)
I have got requests like that, but not really planning to make one. My Chucky probably was closest to that. My suggestion is to work on your Child / baby version on MH as grown up, while giving Child details and then scale it down in Unreal, it will give best results and will not mess up things.
Manage to record it fast! Enjoy! Like, subscribe and share lol!
How do you like my Metacat?
PLEASE MAKE A STEP BY STEP TUT TO HOW CREATE THIS CAT AS A METAHUMAN CHARACTER >> I ASKED MANY PERSONS BUT I GET NO ANSWER
Exactly what I was looking for. EXCELLENT! Happy new Year Maris
Happy New Year to you too, I hope you enjoy the tutorial!
I'm having problems with the material, I followed it exactly but all the hair strands show as a single color rather than matching the mesh
Amazing, this is incredible Maris!!
Thank you!

Exactly what i was looking for!!! Thanks Maris!! 💯
Good timing! 😁
How we go about getting the texture onto the particle systems fur/hair?
Просто, понятно, лаконично. Большое спасибо за урок!
You are very welcome!
how u get the cat's head into metahuman?

you should do a full blender groom tutorial! great vid also
This convers most of cases anyways I think, rest is really project/charachter specifics.

@@MarisFreimanis Thanks mate, really helpfull.
@@MarisFreimanis can you make a tutorial for these steps please ?
@@UnrealNabil Any rigging tutorial will be good enough. Will see maybe will make short clip on X.
That's pretty amazing bro!! Thanks for that!
@@ThirdMoveStudios thank you!
Great tutorial. Thank you!!
This is amazing! Great job!

You're amazing for this. Thank you so much.
You're very welcome!
So useful. Thanks!
bro how did you used the facial rig of meta human in your model ? tutorial
?
That cat is a Metahuman so it has same functionality as any other MH, including MH face control rig.

super thanks
Glad it helped! And thanks for 2 year sub :)
Does this groom have simulation?
@@OHeroidaAmazonia you mean can you apply physics to it? If so yes, it works same way as other grooming assets.
Looks amazing, only the texture/ear flickering was weird too me - what is causing this :)?
