15:36 my mouth dropped... I literally been working on making map test for my game, or at least what will eventually be a game. I've been watching a lot of your videos and of many other youtubers, I've been making progress on Gaea (which I thought was crashing just to me btw), and then I started making progress on UE5 too, but this brother, this video it's amazing, everything that I needed. I can't wait to test it out and show my friend ! Much respect and appreciation from who will become a game developer THANKS TO YOU. Cheers from Italy. ❤🇮🇹 Thank you.
Everything is mostly working great, cept my character is, apparently, Jesus. She walks on the water. I did see a brief warning about collision for the water object when I put it in, but no clear corrective action, or what it even meant.
Yes, when that error pops up you need to click on that clickable text to add changes in collision .ini. It's actually really stupid and I don't know why they haven't made it like a pop pup message or something else. It's really easy to miss that you need to click on that error.
Yes, That's why I'm not biggest fan of auto materials, I still like to export layers from Gaea and use them to color my landscape. But there are people that are subscribing to this channel that wanted to see use of auto material.
@@MarisFreimanis I get told alot that, that is quite costly or I'd be doing that too, tho I now have Errant Poton's tools, Errant Landscae Errant Paths and Errant Biomes, this would mean exporting to make the masks
Nice tuts !!! please I have a question, How to create and export Trees mask from gaea to UE5 and paint Foliage with this black and white mask? thank you
Gaea 2.0 is weird to me. I'll get used to it, I'm sure, but it's just so... weird lol Imma sound stupid here but, eh...how do you get the cursor to appear in Gaea so you can move in the graph? I've tried every combination I can think of and can't get it to appear, making navigating the graph a nightmare for larger builds.
You would probably need to find answer with Gaea devs, since they probably will be able to help more then I do. But gaea 2.0 crashes for me too way more than Gaea 1.0. try to use lower rez when work on your landscape, since it will help with crashes.
For Gaea 2.0 to Unreal Engine 5 plugin setup, watch my "Gaea 2.0 To Unreal Engine 5 made Easy" video

That's awesome my friend! You can always show your work on my Discord too. Would love to see what you are working on.
You can download Gaea for free.
@@MarisFreimanis no the unreal plugin -> Gaea landscape importer.

Nice! I've not tried exporting to ue5, but you make it look so easy, I really don't have an excuse not to try now
Thank you for your videos, they're really instructive
Glad you like them!
Keep up the good work man and thank you :).
Thank you!

@MarisFreimanis worked like a charm. Thanks buddy.
This is great, sadly no paint layers for painting details like lakes, be choice if we could add paint layers too

Hi, thank you! If you take tree node and grab "trees" pin and plug it into unreal export node it should export it as black and white.
@@MarisFreimanis Thanks a million

It defiantly takes time to get use to.
You don't have cursor in Gaea? Idk :D, Mine is just there.
I'm facing a problem: my Gaea constantly crashes and the 3D viewing window doesn't work, how can I fix this?
