hey, your video is so good..this is wonderful.please,Can you give me any of your social media links?
I’m moving there in 2 weeks from Savannah and learning about the neighborhoods helps me get a better understanding of Denver
hello please check your email, i have sent you a thumbnail.
hello please check your email
Denver is way too liberal... lots of useful idiots... but I like the fact that it is White and both men and women are very attractive... PC I hope is not required. 😊
I needed this video. My family and I are heading out there in a few weeks to check out the area. Hoping to move from Omaha, NE to be closer to my family in Denver but I’m incredibly overwhelmed. Thank you for your videos!
A fellow squid, I was USN Vietnam.
Used to live up in Estes Park back in the 70's. But it started to change so I got out. Was a beautiful city though. Now you've got to deal with illegals and ridiculous government.
Both the problems I have with Denver are listed in this video. Bravo
High cost of living and shitty traffic
Prices of literally everything, including gas and groceries, are through the roof. Gas is about $3-4 per gallon on average.
I like how you mention the houses in Superior that are by the airport. People literally move by the airport and complain about airplane noise. I love airplanes so I would love to live in a house on the takeoff path.
I love Congress Park
That’s a great area, I need to cover that!
At least where I live, the gangs in Denver have been becoming more of a problem as of recently.
Don't do it. Just don't. Trust me...coloradian for 25 years
You didn’t mention Sunnyside. I like Highlands too. There’s a few good coffee shops there.
I lived there when I did my postdoc at Colorado State University. It's a little quiet, but Fort Collins is very pretty. It has many animals, tap water, and even in winter the sun is bright.
We moved here from FT Wainwright, AK in 2012 as I was approaching retirement. Retired in 2018 and from 2012 to now 2024 the area has exploded with housing and tax increases. The best thing I can say about it is, if you’ve never experienced aggressive drivers or been in a car accident or shot at while driving you’ll have your chance. This wasn’t an issue a few short years ago but it’s as though Colorado Springs is a haven for homeless, aggressiveness, carelessness, and a complete disregard for anyone but themselves. Let’s not forget the United States Army’s 4th Infantry Division.
wow great video
Thank you!
4th generation native of Colorado and it's a shithole.
Biggest mistake I ever made, except my ex wife.
Why? What was your goal when you went there, and what went wrong?
Denvers a shithole
Newbie here. Altitude issues are the real deal. Drinking lots of water, taking Aleve, there is even oxygen you can buy for relief. Take your time. The issues will pass as you adjust but generally speaking, I have never seen anyone not have issues that are living in low elevations. I came from Nashville and there may be a switch here because my rent is lower in Denver than Nashville. I found the transportation options refreshing. I love outdoors but like to generally hike alone or with my dog but hang in the MANY parks that are in the communities. Moisturizer is your friend. As far as meeting like minded people, I love museums, theater, and art. I don't feel like you have to be an outdoorsy person to fit in. However, with the Rockies and the beauty it presents, it's hard to ignore all that it can offer. Come with an open mind and you will be fine.
I really appreciate you watching and for sharing your experience! Thank you!!
I’ll be moving to Fort Collins this year in September to start college again. I’m nervous but excited. I’m moving from Washington state and I’ll be missing the ocean for sure! I’m looking forward to the weather! I hope looking for places to rent isn’t too hard.
Congrats on the upcoming move, that’s exciting!! I can imagine the shift from the ocean to being landlocked will be interesting, hopefully Horsetooth Reservoir helps a little!
We pronounce the river as “Poo-der”. Another reason is the community mindset and “best practices” mindset of Fort Collins Police Services.
Thank you for that, I’ll make sure I add / correct that in the future!!
Came to Aurora and expected great things it’s still not bad but moving to Lone tree was better for me
Thank you for watching and for the perspective!
Great info, considering Broomfield
Thank you! It’s a great area! Where do you call home now?
If I had to choose between the two, I’d choose Lakewood because it’s closer to the mountains.
Too crowded, too expensive, too much crime. The mountains are great but don't go there on a weekend or holiday because you'll just be stuck in traffic.
I live in Colorado Springs! It was nice but it is getting scummy.
Subaru is the state car, Sun melts snow in a few days, drink water, drink water & drink some water 🤪
Haha, that’s pretty on point!
Great video man. What about Loveland, Johnstown or Berthoud? :)
I’m working on getting up there to get video and I’ll be reviewing those, Longmont and Windsor soon!!
Only thing anyone needs to know is...KEEP THE FK GOING....
Haha, that good? How long have you been in the Springs?
Since it's such a beautiful city, cost of living is already very high especially housing. Median is $440,500 and average rent is $2,230 (for a 1 bedroom you're looking at around $1300 depending on the area), and is continuing to increase. People underestimate this when they move here and end up struggling.
I agree, cost of living is the biggest challenge for most people moving to Colorado and if they don’t have realistic expectations they’re going to be in for a rude awakening!
lol 72,000 is wild
Is that a lot or a little where you live now?
After moving to Denver nearly 1 year and 3 months ago. I cannot thank you enough for the golden nuggets you are sharing - these are all things I cannot mention enough. Wish I would've seen this video before my move. I still love it here though. Denver is Home for me now.
Thank you so much for that, I always hope these videos are helpful for people!
Lived here all my life. Yes, stay away! We've had enough idiots move here.
You forgot the Poudre River and white water rafting.
I need to revisit this and add so many things I’ve learned along the way! Thank you for that!!
How is #9 a problem? Sounds like a racist thing to say.
Listen to what I say - I say Denver is improving but is still not very diverse, so if you want a place that is very diverse, Denver isn’t there YET. I don’t know about you, but I tend to think things through before I label something or someone racist.
@@destinationdenvercolorado Whatever. "Diversity" isn't about skin tone, racist. Being an Irish German Italian American, I found it HILARIOUS that racists think the only thing "diverse" is how much melanin is in someone's skin. My Irish background is COMPLETELY different from my Italian background, which has NOTHING to do with my German background. Sell your BS someplace else... like california.
Nooo...you can't afford it. So crowded. I wish I could move out of the metro area. This is not all that he says it is. He doesn't live in Golden. It's a sales pitch.
Thank you for assuming you know what people can and cannot afford. It’s true I do not live in Golden, however I do live 10 minutes from downtown Golden and know the town very well. It’s among the more expensive in the metro area and I’m very clear on that. To say it’s crowded is interesting - I can’t say I agree with that.
Don't move to Colorado. There's a bunch of looks out here. Clown world out here. Colorado can kiss my ass 😘
Thank you
My pleasure, I hope it helps! Thank you for watching!
Some of the richest people in Boulder, who try very hard to portray themselves as top tier humanitarians, Environmentalists and philanthropists actually run organizations that pay poverty wages for Boulder, install sociopaths as leadership, and happily just fire employees for such infractions as needing a surgery for a life threatening illness. This place is a landfill of humanity made worse by how hard it tries to portray itself as progressive. Just a bunch of rich assholes who criminalized having a blanket on outside they hate humans that much. Boulder is the perfect example of the humanity crushing systems rich people pretending to be progressive create and govern. Worst town on the planet with the worst people.
Moved here in summer of 22 it’s been everything I imagined and then some still a ton to explore !
I love hearing this! What part of town are you in!?
Who dat? Hahaha Roar!
Are you a Lakewood HS alum? Haha
I've said been debating moving to boulder to retire. I love the outdoors and I'm actually alright with a progressive college town to boot.
I know Boulder can be polarizing, but our friends there love it and wouldn’t live anywhere else!
please stay out of colorado as you will probably be voting, go to NY or Illinois please stay the fuck out of this state.
Best local advice right here. Don’t move to Colorado it’s terrible, the weather is always awful! Everything expensive, the food is terrible, people are mean. There is nothing to do here, nothing interesting at all. You should just move to the coast!
I love the optimism! Lol
I live on the coast & good luck with the heat it’s like living in an oven.
I lived in Boulder all my life wouldn’t move any where else except it’s very liberal and woke, the ppl are very annoying 😊
I appreciate the perspective, thank you!!
Last year Denver was rated as the No.1 renters market in the nation You must of missed that.
This video was made in March of 2023, so admittedly I’m not positive what part you’re talking about. As for saying it was #1, what’s that based off of?
@destinationdenvercolorado that article came out last summer. No.1 for quality of Low end.....mid-range....and High end rentals. So it covered all 3 markets. That was for Denver as well as the suburbs where I live...and have lived for 64 years.
@@tomneff7030 - I appreciate you for sharing that with me, I’ll take that into account when I make an updated video.
I moved to Aurora Co in August of 2023. So far so good❤
I’m happy to hear you’ve had a good experience! What area are you in!?
My home town! Nowhere better!
You have good taste!
