I personally worked with people in the construction industry who moved to Denver for the high salaries, but, they slept in their cars. Still, they keep coming.
It’s all the demand from people coming from other states-even that have mountains too. They make the housing market tough and the guy with a PhD is going to be able to afford more expensive houses than the guy with just a high school diploma or GED. I think there are also some jobs that should pay people who don’t receive SSI more than they pay their employees who do.
I can understand the frustration, that has been the common sentiment for a lot of Coloradans. We have people leaving Colorado for less expensive states and I have a feeling the residents of those communities feel the same way about us. Its a never ending cycle, unfortunately.
