    1. The ghetto part of Aurora is north of Mississippi, west of I-225.
    2. I remember when there used to be a dog track in Commerce City near Vazquez.

    I've lived in Aurora for over 25 years. It's beyond sad how bad it has become. We moved out of state because as much as we love Colorado, it's just too expensive. 😢

      I can’t say the thoughts you share are rare - it seems more and more common. What part of Aurora were you in?

    I’ve mentioned it before, but I lived in Parker for a couple months, and I really liked Fika Coffee House off Main Street.

      You know I am a big fan of Parker!

      I used to go there a few times a week because I worked a few buildings toward Parker Rd, good place!

    Thoughts on Thornton, Lone Tree, Centennial, Castle Pines, Highlands Ranch, Greenwood Village, Englewood, and Arvada?

    Thoughts on Superior? Specifically the downtown. Do you see that turning into a place that people want to be and will flourish?

    • @destinationdenvercolorado
      @destinationdenvercolorado  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am a big fan of the Superior, Louisville Lafayette area, and to me the one missing piece for Superior was that downtown stretch. I think it will become a pretty popular place for locals now that they’ll finely have something close.

      As a current resident of Lakewood (literally as far south as you can go in the city).. most of it is pretty trashy

    • @destinationdenvercolorado
      @destinationdenvercolorado  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ - Lakewood has its less desirable areas, but I strongly disagree with the idea that most of it is trash. Belmar, Green Mountain, Solterra, Applewood, West Gate, Carmody - there are so many neighborhoods that people are clamoring to get into.

    • @Ryan-bi9ub
      @Ryan-bi9ub 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@destinationdenvercolorado Belmar has 15 migrants at every intersection trying to wash your windows. Yes, you can find a nice neighborhood (you mentioned Solterra) but you’ll be paying around 1M to live in there. I’m not saying there aren’t ok pockets, but overall Lakewood is not a great place (in my opinion).

    Worst neighborhood: any neighborhood in New York City. Aurora is equivalent to South Jamaica Queens.

    • @destinationdenvercolorado
      @destinationdenvercolorado  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Aurora is massive - and some of the most desired neighborhoods in the metro area have an Aurora address. I just don’t think you can write it off entirely based on pockets of areas that might be less desirable.

      Comparing NYC to any place other than Chicago .. is pretty wild. Aurora to Jamaica.. that’s crazy.

      You're not special. Literally every city is like this.
