I miss it, I had planned to move back after leaving in 2012. I moved there from Alabama in 1998, I got very acquainted with the city layout just by driving on the weekends and in my spare time. I first lived in Thornton then Littleton, Congress Park, Capital Hill, Cherry Creek Nine Mile off Parker Road @ Cherry Creek Reservoir. Yeah, it's much more expensive now my friends there tell me.. my apartment in Capital Hill was about $750 per month---older building; 800 sq ft., but the location was ideal because I worked downtown in the former WTC building @1675 Broadway.. the 16th Street Mall was my source of entertainment regularly.. I'd take lunch and ride the shuttle down towards Millennial bridge and Commons Park by the river. Yeah, everytime I've been back to visit there was more and more construction happening. I'm still considering a move back; maybe to work seasonal during the Spring, Summer and Fall. If I ever decide to sell my house in Alabama, I may make more of a permanent relocation.. I'm still hoping for an improvement in the economy.. we shall see I guess.
Completely agree that it is hard to meet people. After being here over 10 years I have noticed that people are so wrapped up in the day to day, family (kids), or own interests, that they do not have time for relationships.
Thank you for the feedback! I started hearing this more and more over the last several years and admittedly it is one of the more common issues people have talked to me about. I wonder if it is similar in other medium to large size cities or if it's actually a Denver problem.
@@destinationdenvercolorado I lived in West Palm Beach in the early 20's and It was much easier. Now that was a different time but it did seam easier to meet people. I also lived near Albany NY in 2005-07 and it was easier then as well. (I moved around to renovate properties so I was always meeting people).
I was thinking of moving from liberal California to Colorado about 5 years ago, but now I don't see any advantage to living there given the increase in population and home costs that are close to my area.

Prices of literally everything, including gas and groceries, are through the roof. Gas is about $3-4 per gallon on average.
4th generation native of Colorado and it's a shithole.
I appreciate you watching!
You don’t want too many to move there. LOL

It is certainly hard to argue with that logic - affordability is the biggest challenge whether people are coming to Colorado or leaving it.
Ditto
Moved here in summer of 22 it’s been everything I imagined and then some still a ton to explore !
I love hearing this! What part of town are you in!?
