@@BrandSt-q3d yes, sure just need to measure it. I'll do it later today.... Driver side(left side) is narrow compared to passenger side (right side) so after the modification both sides are wide about equally

​@@slightlytunedI watched the Ep 8 but the engine you put in isn't an old LR 2.5 like the ones I know. However, you didn't need a flange to adjust the connection with the speed box as I can watch. We put the 12J LR engine in our 2 '67 S2, with no flange also.

@@sfvegap there is a adapter plate, the flange, it was laser cutt from 12mm steel and made so it centered itself on a main shaft, after centering the middle was cut off with a hand saw and it's just a black 12mm piece of metal that is visible around engine gearbox connection.

Mirodur Epomir 2k epoxy primer was used. There are some good rust converters like from Wurth that will do the job but we've not use them on the LR Series project. All parts are sand blasted or brushed to the clean metal or just replaced with the new metal on this project.

Yes, a lot of hours went into that project and a lot more will. We could actually order all new parts from Germany without customs or from UK with custom expenses but we are buying only parts that we can't repair or refurbish keeping it within the marked budget for this project. Thank you!!! And thanks also from my dad he is the main star on this project 69 years old and really beating down the hours like it's full time job plus overtime 😆

Thank you! We have the original engine and all it's parts saved. It will be restored and it might end up inside series somewhere in the future, but for now we plan to use the series daily and for longer runs, towing trailers so that's why we've opted for the engine as shown in the videos.

All dimensions are the same except the height (depth) is a couple of centimeters bigger than standard to gain a bit more volume. I've just realized that you are right about the back power outtake but we didn't plan to use it anyway and back chassis hole is blank because we plan to place a trailer electric plug there. The tank was traced on the exactly the same two old tanks that we've found on land rovers...so I've googled a bit... You are correct, original fuel tank was a 10 galon and it left plenty of room for back power outtake. The type of fuel tank on the video is used from 1972. onwards but with slight bracket modification it could be fitted to series 2/2a so the fuel tanks we've got with land rovers were added later to gain more volume but also to lose back power outtake. Fortunately we are okay with that, but good eye, I didn't even know that there are fuel tank size options on series 😄
