Hello, I want to ask where you bought such a great clock for the instrument panel??
od cega je ta stublina
@@salestojanovic6447 cilindar je od umo6
Zic je lepo naštelan🤣🤣🤦♂️
Amazing job, looks beautiful, glad you put the bumpers on, at one stage I thought you were going de-seemed. I have just read the David Vizrard, A Seeries Tuning book and K&N with Rounded trumpet would give benefits , although you changed it to a side trumpet. Why did you not just chemically strip repair then EPD then paint. I have a cooper S Mk2 that is corroding on roof and A panel rest is Ok and I am between two minds to repair now to stop the rot, the points I know are rotting until I can afford a full chemical removal. Brilliant job, car looks amazing.😁
Thank you very much!!! 😊 I've used it without bumpers for a few months but in the end it looks better with bumpers on 😄. I had a lot of problems with carburetors so the goal was to use a carburetor that has "no moving parts" by that I mean parts that will wear over time and spoil the air fuel mix. I've ended up with half a dellorto carb that has only bunch of fixed jets inside and bearings on moving shaft compared to SU that has neadle and jet that are destroying each other due to constant friction over the time also no bearings and my air fuel mix was just changing over the time as the parts got worn out. Dellorto(half of it 🙂) solved that problem, just a quick tune depending on the weather temperature and it works perfect. Chemical paint remover was quicker but I guess it would be more of a mess( that's how I imagined it back then, it's not a claim 🙂) The full build took much, much longer than expected, so my money would always be on small repairs until you are ready to park the Mini for a few years for a complete job. Again, thank you very much!!
Lo admiro mucho...es un trabajo maravilloso. espectacular.
Thank you very much! 😊
1950s Land Rover are still used by some militaries up to today.
@aleksandreagadjanov I was just about to answer your comment, found a copy in my email 🙂. Thank you very much from my father and me! Yes, no problem I can measure the parts if you need some dimensions of specific parts, also I can 3d scan it and send STL file if that helps scaling it down (for 3d prints) for model building purposes 🙂
Craftsmanship from a past generation. ( OK, I’m almost his age) awesome work. What was that coating he was rolling on the completed chassis?
Thank you! It's the 2k primer for industrial use, heavy machinery and so.....he was rolling it because he says brushing or rolling it on is better than spraying it on (on first layer) later the same stuff was sprayed on in a few more occasions so it's a bit thicker than just single coat....
Excellent idea! That will certainly keep the grime out of the seals.👍 That reminds me. My swivels are leaking.🤨
Not sure how long did the swivels last back in the day, I guess depending on the type of road but the rubber protection should help plenty in any road conditions 🙂
Beautiful attention to detail. When I first saw a safari sun shade roof with its internal vents I thought “ pure genius! I’m sure you have many more hours in that roof than what it took originally to build. I have a stand windowed roof on my 88”. I am doing a clean up / mechanical restoration, but not a frame off, nut and bolt ,as you are. Enjoying following along.
Thank you very much! 😊 Yes, we didn't anticipate that so much time would go into Series...it ended up being a much bigger bite than standard sized car.
Woohoo!! It's coming together really well. A lot of work done but look at the end result. Well done. Love it.
Thank you! The progress will be more visible from now on, finally some parts will be bolted on permanently not just for alignment 🙂 My dad is working on all 5 doors, there is plenty of work there....and I'm on assembly, brake lines, fuel lines, electric wires, gauges....
The meticulous prep and attention to detail really shows in the final product. Excellent work, love watching.
Thank you! It's really time consuming but I guess it's better to spend twice as much time now than repeat the work in a few years 😅. Thanks again and I'm glad you enjoy watching 🙂
I am envious of your painting skills, you make it look so easy. You realise this will not be an authentic restoration? The roof won't leak and the doors will fit!😆
Thank you very much! 😊 Far away from authentic, but it will be used daily and hopefully enjoyed without leeks 😆
that looks very good well done
Thank you very much! 😊
This is one of the most perfect restoration i have ever seen ,would you by any chance be interested to take an order?
Thank you very much for your kind words!!! 😊 Unfortunately we are now working on Land Rover series and after that I have Porsche waiting, so our schedule is full. Also I don't have enough space for anything new, so at the moment unfortunately I can't even think about something like that 😟

Hello Sir, May I know what sheet and how thick it is?
Hi! It's s355 steel 2.5mm thick, but if you can't get it it's perfectly fine to go with s235 steel since that would be industry standard for chassis and should be in stock everywhere. S355 is stronger and cost a bit more money. I don't know what steel was originally used for LR chassis but it was 2.5mm thick, measured on healthy parts of chass.
@slightlytuned thanks Sir, greeting from Jakarta
perfect 🍒
Thank you! 😊
🤪
That looks great. Wouldn't you mind telling us some specs concerning the engine, pls.
Thanks! Nothing special or over the top, 2.5D motor from ducato maxi, just to make it daily usable, more reliable and a bit more friendly for environment(less oil leakage 😄)
So much craftsmenship, so much enthusiasm. Great. Are the sheets stainless steel?
Thank you very much!! 😊 No, they are not stainless, just steel sheets left from the chassis build. Also much thicker than original tank which had double bottom so it's harder to rupture but perfect for rust development... We went with a single 2,5mm sheet instead.
A great job well done. What kind of stuff did you Put in the riv nuts before setting into the chassis rail? Heinz (with a 109 SII Project ahead)
Thank you! It's PU sealant, glue/sealant stuff like for gluing windshields or sealing spot welding on the new cars, in gray color..... maybe not necessary but I like to seal all exposed metal 😀. I'm glad to hear about your series project ahead they are really nice piece of machinery/history to see on the road in this modern car world 🙂
@slightlytuned Thanks for the quick Response. I totally agree. I like the older ones more than "modern" vehicles, which from my personal point of view start with the electronic TD5/ EDC 300TDi about 2006.
Can't believe your father made the whole manifold from scratch.. What is /was his profession? Brilliant work, makes my restoration look very amateurish .
My father worked as a technical draftsman all his life, he is retired now and he is few months from turning 70 years old. Thank you very much!!! 😊
Great skills. It is coming along so nicely. Bravo!
Thank you! 😊 A bit more work than we anticipated but it's rewarding to see this big piece of machinery one step closer...
@@slightlytuned Hello! I am your new subscriber and I am simply amazed and delighted by your work skills. At the moment I am doing the same thing as you, but with a small difference in size - I am making a model of LR 109 SW ser 2 a from metal, completely handmade. I am 70 years old and this has been my hobby since childhood. My problem is that there are a lot of photos on the Internet, but it is very difficult to get exact dimensions. You are restoring a full-size car, so your help with the dimensions would be invaluable for me!!! If you have some time for me, answer me and I will let you know what interests me at this stage. I will be very grateful to you!

Hi there, from Punta Arenas, Chile. Amazing work by a very good talented craftman. At home we have 4 Landies. 2 year 2000 (90 & 110) and 2 1967 S2 (88 & 109). Surprised when I discovered that you are Croatian because my grandparents by my mother side were born in Kucice & Mimice, Omis, on later XIX Century and then came to Chile before the WWI.
