Take your time and thank you for sharing! This is a beautiful story!
I hope you all are using vinyl mass load material for sound barriers. From personal experience, it's a living hell living in a apartment with out it. I am sure you all are, because you're a home owner.
Love it ❤
Protect all old buildings. Schools too! I noticed many cities are destroying old buildings and historic homes (Marilyn Monroe). People were very good at building homes back over 50 years ago. I like Victorian homes
RAF.... mate!!!
Much better! looks clean, neat and open.
If you’re moving into the building you don’t have a good safe secure place for your children. You definitely need a big plan for the whole building.
I love the exposed brick.
Very nice! A lot of room for family Christmas!
In the uk this would be a HMO in seconds, full of immigrants and black market workers pay an exorbitant rent to a slum landlord 😂
I’m new here. Is that an original ceiling!! That’s amazing. And the vent work is stellar.
Stay tuned! And check out @vintagerelaxation for some awesome vintage music 👉 th-cam.com/video/HORu3rdFVN0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cS2lG5zuaTVXI63K
It’ll be a nice bathroom and you’ll use that space for sure with kids, dogs etc. My master bath was the hub for bath time lol.
When I look at Facebook Marketplace and see all the beautiful antique furniture that people can hardly give away, this is exactly the place that I need-then I would buy all the beds, armoires, desks, buffets, china cabinets, chairs, etc, etc!!
This is going to be absolutely gorgeous! I’m so jealous lol I can’t wait for the finish!
Did you just tape brick....mortar literally wipes right off. Perfect example of more money than brain cells.
That’s awesome. I’d love to do something like that. I myself am working on going solo and living off of the wild and whatever I can make of it.
Great idea!
I would take that building any day over a mansion. It will probably be around another 120 yrs.
Do you prefer to rent or own? My guess is own. So why are you renting your utilities? So easy to own all that. 13 years ago we made to decision to own our electricity and paid for all our power going forward and went solar. We over built a bit and installed a 10k system on our 3000sf home. Installed AC/Heat Pump and now have an electric car and we are what they call net zero. We don't always hit zero but the two years we didn't was because of the EV and big driving events for family matters. Not having to buy gas however saved us a lot and easily paid the difference in home utility costs and in the end we still saved a lot of money for those two years overall. It took 8 years to own the system and it's just been free heat and air conditioning with lights and laundry and such for these last 5 years. Yes, no money to the power companies and gas stations. So when you wrap your head around just writing a check for around 8 years of power all at once you end up giving yourself power to live well. 10k square feet of absolute comfort for free the rest of your lives is something you want to invest in as soon as you can. Advice from one family to another. Live your dream
Reading the comments in your videos you have a great base of followers. Maybe it's time to think about income from youtube and build up your members. Now that your 100k how about looking for that magical number of 1 million. The video is a busness opportunity and getting used to tripoding your camera on your work and posting at least once a week will make it happen. Be the key focus point for your town and sell Tshirts celebrating success. One day I see parades and street BBQ parties. Build it and they will come. ;)
@@MXP90DL I think you might be onto something 😊 thanks!
COOL 👌👍
Should be careful not to plant trees too near to the building, otherwise the roots can damage your foundations
❤it, Wonderful Idea 😊 Old church here been Renovated !
Why not have stores in front ??? But love the building ! Very cool !!!
Thank you for saving this old building. I think it’s awesome what you’re doing. I believe in saving as many old better built buildings as possible than tearing them down to build a big ugly apartment building or whatever. How quickly we forget that those buildings are part of our history. ♥️🐾🐾
As a bricklayer, I give you kudos. I've seen "professionals" do worse. Had I done it. I wouldn't have to tape it off and I could have made the mortar joints look more uniform. But for a "boot" as we say for a DYI. It's an awesome job. I'm just a little concerned about what the outer wall looks like. 😅
This is fabulous. I wish more people would make this kind of effort. I know it is expensive but so is new construction. Kudos ❤
Very special keeping this in the family!!!
Yikes! Camera movement makin' me a little sea sick!
Have you found any cool things from the past while renovating the building
The brick wall you patched looks perfect, you did a great job. 👍👍
Love it! 🤗
Thankyou for sharing
I'm sry but it looks barren, nice building but no trees? Desert?
Yay!!!🎉
I love this. I can't wait to see the transformation. I subscribed ❤
Be careful that pain may have lead in it.
Love it ❤❤❤❤❤
Doesn’t that scare you?
I’m going to put this comment here since it’s most recent & im really curious about your thoughts, so pocket doors, when I watched your mbr/br walk through, I really thought pocket doors would work for the bathroom due to the shelving & such on the wall across, I don’t see pocket doors as really done anymore & wondered why
Have you thought about pocket doors? I got a lot of pocket door vibe for your bathroom
What a fantastic and exciting adventure ❤😊
That's so cool that's what I wanna do I don't want a traditional house something like that would be awesome to get ahold of
If you can, you should install some wood burning stoves just encase power ever goes out, you can still keep the kids warm!
I live in a 100+ year old house. That bathroom will be larger than my "master" bedroom 😂
where is this? I legit had a dream that stuck with me from a few years ago and it was inside an attic just like that.
What a mess
That would make a huge master bath but would not having the bath in the other spot make anything better?
It would be interesting to have access to photos of the building when the businesses were operating there
