Punching Aluminum Parts
มุมมอง 1.8K9 ปีที่แล้ว
A lot of people think that the laser is ultra fast, but in reality, our Amada Vipros CNC punch blows it away in terms of speed. the only downside to the punch is that you need a boatload of tooling (a punch for every conceivable shape). The laser has no tooling needed as it can cut any shape you can draw, but it (in comparison) is a lot slower. We also rarely use the laser for aluminum. Aluminu...

Technically they are hex head cap screws, so you are correct calling them screws. Screw is the angular movement around a cylinder. Ships move by rotating a screw(propeller). Bolt is a cylinder shaped object, rifle bolt, door bolt, bolt of fabric, etc. Screw is the function, bolt is the shape.

This is the 5th tile project we've done where we've removed the old tile before installing new tile, and the first one with this tool th-cam.com/users/postUgkxqqoaX03nrziKwF7Bjjcc71YzLEleMvOS . I want to cry for all the unnecessary work we've done in the past. With this tool, we removed tile surrounding a fireplace, as well as the hearth tile, set in loads of cement, in less than an hour. I highly recommend this tool. It was easy to use, and very satisfying watching the tile literally fall off the wall.

3 Thin washes would have given you the same results for the line-up as did the shim.

This is a great product! I priced tungsten sharpening adapters for rotary tools between $25 and $40 dollars. I tried this $28 dollar chemical sharpener, I could not be happier. Machined, needle sharp quality if you prefer that to your tungsten. After a few minutes of practice I was able to get a rounded tip like the one shown. There are no grind marks left by the chemical dip. It is faster then a grinding wheel but leaves a smooth finish to the tungsten. Buy this product, use this method to heat tungsten and then get welding. I think you will be satisfied with the results.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to make and post this video. I have one of these I bought for a project about the time you made this video, 12 years ago or so. I used it for one job and set it on a shelf w a bunch of other junk. After watching this, I'll bust it out and go over it...I may have a better tool than I thought. Oh, and those are "bolts" not "screws". <wink>

Old video but a better idea is to shim the drill guide. Square shim’s are easier to make and tubing vise is stronger if kept closer to base. 2022 price is 79 dollars, doubled in ten years but I purchased mine ten years ago and have yet to need it till today
