Restoring The Original GameBoy
The GameBoy was overall in good condition but the plastic had yellowed and there was no sound. I had trouble starting it as the battery terminal was heavily oxidized. After disassembly I noticed that the speaker cables had come loose, which was the cause for no sound :P The plasic parts were cleaned in hot water and the electronics with IPA. The corroded battery terminal is cheap to replace with a new one but I decided to clean it up and nickel plate it. I also cleaned and plated the rest of the loose terminals.
The screen has "LCD cancer" which can't be fixed, but since it's only on the edges and not really visible when playing, I decided ko keep it. I used Hydrogen Peroxide 12% and UV-lights to remove the yellowing.
The process took about two days and worked great. I ended up replacing the speaker, rubber for the arrow keys, "Start & Select" buttons and the screen protector.
I hope that you enjoy watching this restoration and consider subscribing. Also leave a like for the TH-cam algorithm ;) Thanks!

Makita Repair
มุมมอง 1.8K11 หลายเดือนก่อน
This jig saw belongs to a friend of mine. I first thought it was a motor issue but when I opened it up I found a couple of parts that had come loose and some were broken off. The replacement parts were ordered from a Makita dealer. I decided not to replace the bearings on the motor as the jig saw was not that old and they seemed to be in good condition. After I had taken everything apart I clea...
Bit Holder Repair
มุมมอง 48Kปีที่แล้ว
How to fix the bit holder of an impact driver. My DeWalt impact driver was dropping bits, this is common and luckily it's an easy fix with no special tools required. A spring inside the bit chuck wears out or breaks and needs to be replaced. I hope that you find this video helpful. Smash that like button if you enjoy the video and don't forget to subscribe. Remington AS8810 Air Styler - Teardown And Repair
Excellent video. Helped fix my impact. If anyone has a Stanley impact before the v20 series, the Dewalt springs will work on that too.
Glad to hear. Thanks for watching!
great video, does anyone know how to fix an og xbox with flashing green and red lights?
For fault codes see: consolemods.org/wiki/Xbox:Error_Codes#LED_Error_Codes
@@RestoredChannel Thank you
Excellent video. The care and attention to detail 👌 ✨️. Loved seeing this returned to like new condition. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching mate!
beautiful!
Had a shattered but stuck in there for 3 years and finally got around to f fixing it because of your video. Thanks!
Glad to hear it. Thanks for watching 👊
@@RestoredChannelhi. Are these srpings universal? I have a stanley impact driver that was released before the stanley v20 series. Can i get dewalt springs and repair the stanley with it as i cannot find stanley spare parts atm
Where can i purchase those small can of blue paint and what kind of paint are they?
Search for Revell enamel color 👍
I have ordered every spring off the schematic for my dewalt impact driver and none of them have this right angle to hold the ball in place. Anyone else running into this?
Excellent video. Used this method for my hydroscopic screwdriver. Back in business. Thank you!
Awesome, thanks for watching 👍
Bonjour pourriez vous me dire ou avez vous acheté vos tournevis pliant tournevis flexible ?
Just google ifixit screwdriver set. I got mine at a local shop.
Can I fix a Ryobi with the same spring
I don't believe they use the same parts.
Where did you get that piece to hold the trigger on?
On amazon, search for INF or dyson trigger lock👍
I’m having the same issue, replaced the spring but it’s like the ball won’t hold the bit il still. Have tried 2 different springs. Any ideas?
Make sure you reasemmble everything in the correct order. The outer sleeve can also be mounted backwards. Hope it helps. Thanks for watching!
@@RestoredChannel everything was reassembled correctly like the video, i think the ball supposed to drop in and lock the bit in place when pushed down and only release when pulled up on the outer mechanism but for some reason it still dosent lock in
@Restored Channel O, I have question... The placing of the gears in the planetary gearbox dooesn't matters? I just wondered how do u figured it out how to put it back when you washed all parts together...
The order is important. I watching my recording😉 thanks for watching
@@RestoredChannel Oh, I see... Thx... :) I didn't think about it to record dissassemblt and later watch from the end to beginning... It;s so true that the simplest solutions are often the most difficult to come up with. 😄 It think i use that in the future if I would like to do maintenece mine...
@Restored Channel Nice job, i rly like it...
Thanks mate!
Hi what brand of silicone did you use. I am trying to fix my dvd drive it makes a loud scraping noise: ty
👍👍❤❤
Thank you! Picked one up at a pawn shop and got it for $15 because it won't hold bits. I had a feeling there was an easy fix.
Nice👌
Question...you mentioned not having to bend the terminals, one of the terminals on my dyson v11 was snapped in half (long ways), would it effect the use of the vaccum ? And is it dangerous to continue using it ?
Hi, solid connections are essential to prevent arching and burning.
Have watched a few different videos for this but this has been the best one!!👍🏻
Glad to hear! Thanks for watching 😁
Great video man. I enjoy watching stuff like this. Can I ask where you bought the tape for the feet and the size?
Thanks mate! Google "taperunner" 👍
It was great, dear colleague
YES! Got my springs today! I haven't had a working impact in 2 years! This is AWESOME! THANKS AGAIN!
Hi , Can you give me the name the ring ,i cant see in Amazon . plz Thank you
I have 2 impacts and my coworker has 2. We have double exactly because of this problem. All 4 are broken like this. This is EXACTLY what I needed to see! THANK YOU! This is a HUGE pain, especially if you're up on a ladder on the second story! I've been sticking plastic bag in mine to act as a "shim", leaving the sleeve in and changing the tip bit only, but sometimes this is too long and you need just an impact ready bit. Got 12 replacement springs coming Thursday! THANKS AGAIN!
Glad I can help mate! Thanks for watching 🙏
Hello there, i just want to ask if you have any idea what the problem on my Stanley 18v cordless drill, it happened that the motor is not working. battery is good the indicator light is on if i push the trigger but the problem the motor/or dynamo wasn't spinning or working at all. What is the possible causes and how can i repair this drill. I would be happy if you have some tutorial video with regards of this. Thank you very much. I just actually watch your video and i just followed you.
Hi Richard. It could be the brushes if there are any or maybe the trigger mechanism. Hard to say without having a look. Thanks for watching 🙏

What I learned from doing something similar , is at least VIDEO the dismantling of your drill. It could , be of help in your reassembling of the tool.
It helps a lot 🙌 thanks for watching!
Peace be upon you, my best brother. I like what you are doing and I am one of your followers, but I have a problem with this hair clipper, which I repaired, and it is because I have a transistor that I could not find in the market that carries the symbol. Mcrr16 If I ask you what is the alternative to it? Thank you for waiting for the cold

😢
it seems to me that this is not the same on the older littler 12 volt model ?
It may differ between models. Which model do you have?
@@RestoredChannel DCF610 old unit and upon disassembly I found no lower spring or ball bearing and these parts r too big but I have a few 20 volt as well so I can use on them
Check www.sparepartsworld.co.uk. Just type in your model. The view shows a spring and also a number of ball bearings.
Crazy job man Great job really
The V11 absolute pro series has upgraded their trigger system with better reinforcements around the trigger fulcrum. Also heat and abrasion are the enemy. They also updated the hepa filter and premotor filter by putting reinforcements to the webbing on the premotor filter and better sealing rubber O rings to prevent bypassing back into the motor housing causing abrasion and motor overheating. This also prevents the battery from overloading which in turn draws heat into the handle and softening the trigger fulcrum, causing it to crack and break. The new upgrade also includes a clip in removeable battery with a slight better and bigger handle opening for cooling. If you really want to reduce static cling of fine particulate in the cyclones and build up. Cut a few pieces of bounce sheet and throw it into the bin. It does marvels.
구리스는 어떤걸 썼나요?
I used moly grease. Thanks for watching!
Gold hand !!!!!!❤
Awesome! Thank you.
Amazing job! Beautifully crafted. One of my favorite videos of tool restoring.
Thanks for watching mate!
Superb, well done
Hi great video. What type of grease did you use for the dvd tray.
Silicone grease, thanks for watching!
Ty I am sorry what also lubricant did you use to lubricate parts?
What glue did you use to glue the rubber and stickers where the screws went?
Search for taperunner👍
What brand silicone grease did you use? Thank you.
Is there anyone who can please tell me, what kind of SMD Transistors are mounted on the flex Print ?
How did TH-cam took a year to recommend me this?
Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for watching 👊
I have the Dewalt DCD701. But it does not have a screw for the chuckremoval. And it does not sound healthy, when I try to remove the cuck. I want to replace the cuck with one from Röhm, that goes up to 13mm: The Röhm 1322451 (Extra 50-RV13 1,5-13mm 1/2"-20). That is a nice project...I got inspired by your videos.
Nice upgrade👌 glad to hear it, thanks for watching!
Where do you find replacement parts?
Ebay, amazon or local repair shops
To everyone that put the vacuum back together and is horrified that it's not turning on - as I was - but instead only briefly shlwing three blue lines: it means you didn't plug the small white square connector back to the electronic board in properly. I suggest you go back, really push it in (it should click) and even add a nice layer of glue like it was when you opened it. Works like a charm after this!
I just put my drill bit in to put plugs in the wall how do I get it back out again ?
