You described perfectly how neural networks used in Tesla FSD 12 and 13 work as well. They will be just placed into Europe and drive like a human, even better. What's missing right now is just the EU giving a green light for Tesla to deploy this better AI that is already handling US traffic like a champ. Did I make it more clear?

I understand your point, but the real issue isn't the road infrastructure in Europe-FSD is capable of handling these challenges with its advanced neural networks. The problem is that we don't have the right version of the software approved in Europe yet. Once it’s allowed, FSD could handle European roads much better than most people think!

I am praying that you are not right, after all Tesla said that they are aiming for an early 2025 FSD rollout throughout Europe. Can you point me to a single proven instance of someone getting killed by Autopilot? Or even FSD? Also how many people are killed by human drivers every day, is that comparable? Regarding the autobahn, using this regular Autopilot would be hazardous, but FSD will handle it better than any human could.

There are several cases still pending. - Here in Germany, a court decided that Tesla has to inform about the following. You'll find it on their german website and in their stores: (translated by google translate:) "The currently activated functions require active monitoring by the driver - autonomous operation of the vehicle is therefore not possible. Some features require manual turn signal operation and have a limited range of functionality. The activation and use of autonomous functions, on the other hand, require proof over billions of kilometers driven that their reliability far exceeds the capabilities of human drivers. Chill out, dude, this is how science and progress work. Testing limits is the only way we improve things-cars, planes, rockets, all of it. If we never pushed boundaries, we'd still be riding horses. The point is to find flaws so they can be fixed, making systems safer for everyone. And no, we’re not ‘laughing at risk’-we’re documenting the failures to make future versions better. It’s called innovation, not irresponsibility.

@@robotinreallife Yes innovation is essential, but the general public is not the ones who should be doing this testing. Maybe we should let people drink and drive to test the limits on what should be allowed there, but we don't because of the associated risk. Instead this kind of thing needs to be done a closed course where you aren't putting innocent peoples lives at risk. This type of "pushing to the limits" is idiotic and dangerous.

Driving is fun for some, but Autopilot and FSD are about making driving safer and more accessible. They reduce accidents caused by human error (like distractions or fatigue), let people rest or even sleep while the car drives, and give independence to people who can’t drive due to disabilities. It’s not about killing fun-it’s about saving lives and giving everyone the freedom to get around. If you love driving, you still can. If you don’t or can’t, now you have a solution. Done.

You kinda have it backwards. Because FSD is not allowed, Autopilot behaves so poorly. But that's going to change, hopefully soon.

They also boast those regulations like it's some great achievement.

*There is very seen the regulatory with 25° angle (I think). It litterarly wants to turn but cant. 25° and probably some Gs (accelleration/brake) is limited.

I think all of these are well behind even V11 in capability. It's just an old software stack not really taking full advantage of neural networks...

this comment also shows that the video wasn't actually that clear that its EU laws that are the problem, and tesla in EU is crippled and showing that is just a waste of time... Should I start reviewing and talking about my smart phone from 2015 ? and then complain how it dosn/t work etc.

@@robotinreallife I don’t have direct involvement in this topic, but as a tech content creator, it’s definitely something I’m interested in. Plus, I’m hoping to get a Tesla Model Y “Juniper” in the near future, so Autopilot naturally grabs my attention. With that in mind, it’s disappointing to see Europe falling behind....not just in Autopilot tech but in AI and innovation overall. Honestly, I feel like part of Tesla’s challenges in implementing Autopilot here stems from efforts to shield brands like VW, BMW, and Mercedes from losing ground due to their slower pace of innovation.

Yeah you're right, except one thing - these are the first glimpses of how the FSD stack driving ASS reacts to European environment, cars, drivers, pedestrians... which is a huge deal for the FSD rollout!

We have actually done that in the very next video, coming soon! It's still total ASS though.

Hello! Great observation that might just be true. Regardless, I still have hope for actual FSD here that works as well as the US version. Just because it would be actively harmful and causing more accidents, injuries and deaths to try to slow down FSD.

Not a fault of Tesla! These cars can actually drive themselves. Better than anything else on the market.
