Wooow, finally i found a great Tesla Autopilot/FSD TH-camr in Europe! Your Videos are great and the Camera Angles and Quality of your Videos are also great, keep it like that. Love this Channel!
Hello there and thanks a ton for the kind words! Welcome to the channel, as with FSD, we are still early! :D I'm super happy that you like the production, I wanted to be EXTRA ready for when FSD finally comes here so I started this channel a little early to hopefully get a rhythm going and then advance at full speed 💪 Let's go!
Howdy! It's actually one of the most interesting things about autopilot - that you can activate it ALMOST anywhere it can spot any resemblance of a line on the road. Next time we're going to try even completely unmarked medieval cobblestone!
Hello there, I wanted to keep this a secret from Czech audience, worrying that the algorithm might punish me and lock the videos just for Czechs and Slovaks, but it seems like you've found it anyways! Good job! :D
@@robotinreallife Yeah... it somehow popped on my main TH-cam screen, I wasn't looking for anything Tesla related, so the algo may be screwed already 🤣 But I hope it's not, you deserve world audience! Great quality of videos. Edit: I just realized I am using VPN with Austrian IP, so maybe it's ok.
@@IQEGO That's great news, one more Austrian viewer it is! I also have a Czech channel with almost 70K subs, but decided not to promote this content there... at least until I get a decently sized healthy organic audience first :)
Definitely! According to the latest news, FSD should be here on the first of January. We'll see if it really happens! Now let's look forward to 10/10 for the Robotaxi unveil :) What are your predictions?
@@robotinreallife thats awesome - do you have a link to the source? Given that the Europe is huge market i suspect maybe a few places will roll out first (norway, germany etc) Then others will follow suit...but yeh i am not holding my breath yet :) Lets see - fingers🤞
You're welcome sir! Definitely be cautious on the road and not just around Teslas 😅 What we're trying to do here is to compare basic Autopilot with FSD and pushing it to its absolute limits. This software is not supposed to be used in extreme scenarios like that, but when used correctly (highways, long and monotone driving) it's actually proven to be much safer than the average manual driver. Most importantly, FSD is a HUGE leap forward, but not yet available in Europe. I suggest watching some footage of the newest version 12.5 for example the latest @AIDRIVR videos: th-cam.com/video/il5q8vBFZa8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=MEmdpDCaDD3SUfF4 and compare it with what you saw here.
Jebus I'm sweating even watching this. How is this ever going to work. If I see someone approaching a zebra crossing, I slow down a bit ready to stop. Tesla is just happily cruising past at 90. Seeing it totally ignore the 50 and 30 signs and will happily steer you into the path of a truck, it's a big no for me, even if they improve it where it works 99% well.
Hey, thanks for the comment and welcome to the channel! First of all, I can't blame you at all for feeling HORRIFIED by Tesla Autopilot. I strongly suggest you to search for "FSD 12.5" videos and comparing the difference. It's literally night and day. The greatest TH-cam channel for these is @AIDRIVR I should restate that the basic Autopilot we're using here is not supposed to be used in this way and is mostly designated for highways and really easy driving. Basically a little more advanced lanekeeping and traffic aware cruise control. What we're doing now is trying to compare it with FSD which is not a fair comparison by far, but is going to be really useful and informative once we actually CAN start using FSD here in Europe - which is impossible at the moment because of regulations.
Hey, thanks for the question and welcome to the channel! At this point, we are testing just the basic Autopilot that is included for free in every Tesla. The main reason is that Full Self-Driving is not yet available in Europe. In the future, the main goal of this channel will be to document the progress of FSD in Europe as soon as we can get our hands on it! Hopefully that happens in late 2024 or early 2025.
Me neither, but 12.5 seems capable of taking on Europe already, it's all up to the regulators from some point and then I have no realistic expectations... but my best guess is 50% chance before the end of 2024 and 90% chance before the end of 2025, the first ever FSD rollout will be done in Europe.
None of that was autopilot as it says in title. It was Lane Assist. AP has different visualisation (it has blue line in front of the car) and works only on highways.
I think you are confusing "Autopilot" and "Navigate on Autopilot" - The blue line in front of the car is present when Navigate on Autopilot is engaged, which is a part of the Advanced Autopilot package. This is the basic autopilot, which you are correctly pointing out is mostly lane assist and traffic aware cruise control.

@@robotinreallife is advanced autopilot package available in Czechia?
Yes it is, although we don't have it purchased on this car yet. We'll probably test it in the future if we manage to get another car in our hands that has it purchased. It's really expensive and sadly the subscription is not available like you can subscribe monthly for FSD in the US.
I can't wait either! Autopilot works great on highways and well marked roads though. We're just testing it to its absolute limits, which is why it looks so dangerous and incapable :) It was not designed for this.
le probléme c'est pas le logiciel fsd , mais bien les infrastructures en europe ! pas de ligne de séparation etc...un aménagement des routes mal conçu en bref !
I understand your point, but the real issue isn't the road infrastructure in Europe-FSD is capable of handling these challenges with its advanced neural networks. The problem is that we don't have the right version of the software approved in Europe yet. Once it’s allowed, FSD could handle European roads much better than most people think!
Do not try this at home! Unless your home is in America and you're already on FSD 12.5 😅

Autopilot is scary in Europe, I'm surprised it even activated on them unmarked roads never mind driving at them breakneck speeds.

@OndenOndwaK :)
"By the end of this year", let me translate that for you in to a realworld human understandable timespan:
"Somewhere between now and ∞ years".

love the vids. soon to be tesla owner :) can you share the link to where musk talks about european regulation? Thanks

that is illegal and super dangerous
What exactly is illegal? Point is that you have to supervise the system all the time. The driver is held responsible for everything right now.
Not with me - driver ❤😊
