The Model 3 from Tesla I had for a test drive last Saturday had everything unlocked but the only thing I could try here in Germany was the auto parking and I must say they did a pretty good job in parking the car in like-a-human-parked-it way. The first try was embarrassing to say the least but it was not an easy job because the markers were worn out. I don't even know if the car had the latest updates. The second try was much better but I was still hesitated the let it do it's job. :-D It's quite an experience and I'll definitely use it in my M3P :-)
My man! Greetings from the Czech Republic, fellow neighbor! Looks like you're entering the robot world already, just this morning Actually Smart Summon became available in the EU, so you should probably schedule another test drive or check out updates on your own car! Thanks a ton for the comment and sharing your experience.
@3:05 is crazy! would have thought it aborted for good as it would not be able to see the lines but i guess it must some other calculation to do this...
There is another TH-camr in Mexico who took your footage and claims is his footage. His video (Your video) got more than 100k views. How is that possible?
Dude you should lower the dose a little bit! 😁 Jokes aside, I have squished the sides of the footage so that you could still clearly see the steering wheel while the display stays undistorted and the drone footage takes up half of the screen. It wasn't easy!
Your Tesla has USS (Ultra Sonic Sensors) on-board. Autopark works with those as well when you have them. It does not display it however. I have a Y '24 with vision ONLY. During my 3-month trial, i used autopark a few times at IKEA and such. It worked OK , but not worth the 3500EUR to be honest.
I am aware that this car still has ultrasonics, however in my opinion the new autopark relies on vision only in all cases. Do you have any definitive proof is still relies on ultrasonics? I'm almost sure it doesn't.
Haha :D With Smart Summon and Banish, you get out of your car BEFORE it parks on its own. Then it comes and picks you up. This is real right now in the US. Search TH-cam for Actually Smart Summon (ASS) and coming to Europe in a matter of weeks (months at worst)
It has a driver faced camera that monitors not only if the driver is there, but also if he's actually paying attention, which is required! So if you engage FSD and try to check your phone for example, it will remind you to pay attention to the road 😁 Long-term the goal is of course for this to no longer be neccessary and it looks like we are pretty close to that!
@@robotinreallife I meant in regards to parking itself. So that for instance if there is only a driver present, it will park more to one side so egress is easier. Whereas if there is a person in the passenger seat it doesn't so both can still get out. This is imo the human way to park and I wonder how well the robot mirrors this, as in the video it seems to park pretty humanlike.
Hmm that's a really good point! I don't think it's taking passenger occupancy into account just yet, but it very well might in the future! Although it doesn't know if you're for example going to pick someone up as a passenger...
That's awesome man! However keep in mind there are people who can't do that and they want to go places too. It's awesome for them that cars can drive them on their own.
@@DCGreenZone It does and should be utilized way more than it is today. However, there are still occasions where that is simply not possible. In those cases, if someone can't afford a Taxi, I think it's amazing that you could have cheap cars that drive themselves serve people in need.

Amazing tech for sure and I absolutely love Tesla! But I just don't understand the big hype around auto park 😅it's so easy and fast to reverse park yourself, seems like it's a nice feature but just a party trick
I get where you're coming from - but imagine it as a part of a bigger picture. With FSD, Teslas can drive you from point A to point B anywhere in the world. Once autopark becomes integrated, even the last few moments of the drive will be autonomous. And that's amazing for everyone! Not just people who are bad at parking 😅
There are other alternatives for people how cannot/don’t want to drive There’s nothing more dangerous that wrong person behind a steering wheel, especially for people who are outside and not drive.
I don't need cruise control, but it really helps. I used to use this function in my Octavia 2015 with DSG when parallel parking. DSG sucks when parking. Jerks forward suddenly, electric drive is much more precise and subtle.
I just did a 500km trip after upgrading to EAP. I wasn’t impressed and don’t see the value in it other than auto park. I will be hitting the refund button. If they offered the parking seperate for a reduced cost I would consider it.
Seen a model Y phantom brake right in front of me, glad I was safely 2 seconds behind, that car auto-freaked out over a ''SLOW'' sign painted on the road. Then there's the shocking build quality (in particular panel gaps, or having to pull hidden emergency wires in case of a crash and doors won't open, and most lately the Musk took a political stance of buying votes that I could not participate in any way, shape, or form. Lastly, I would never consider any car that can potentially develop a manitenance bill that's over the market value of the car after just 10 years.
My man, I must warn you, you have extremely unreliable sources of information. Let me break it down: build quality - hasn't been a problem for years now, outdated info and FUD emergency wire story - false, fake news FUD Musk's Trump Endorsement - saved the world from the Kamala Puppet regime and potentially WW3 - you're welcome maintenance - Tesla has the lowest maintenance of any car manufacturer, again outdated info, fake news and FUD I would recommend you seriously reconsider where you're getting your information from and also researching "confirmation bias"
You're missing the point - soon no-one will be driving and the cars will be driving you. If you like driving as a human, prepare to lose it because it will be too dangerous to be allowed in the near future.
I enjoyed the English accent so much. As a Spanish native speaker myself I was overwhelmed by it. Where is this accent from ? . PS: thanks for the quality of content and equipment involved in the video also.
Gracias hombre! Soy de republica Checa :D Thank you so much for the kind words, as you can see I know a bit of Spanish as well! Where are you from exactly?
Technology of the future? Ehh... This is not new. How come Tesla fans always thinks Tesla is first with stuff. And now, try this when dark, and rainy, and snowy, and all at the same time.
That may be true if it used the same technology to get the same result. This is impressive because it’s using CAMERAS ONLY, no radar, lidar and whatever everyone else uses.
@@robotinreallife Sure, aborting parking randomly (why did it start in a first place if it can't park?), incorrect parking in the bays. And you didn't even try parallel parking, which is even worse as it will kerb you all around :D
Shame you can't buy options. FSD is useless in the EU and even EHAP is vert pricey for just a working parking function. They should add this to basic AP or sell this function as an upgrade, especially now with HW4 on all new vehicles. In the EU both paid upgrades are simply not worth it at the moment.
I absolutely agree, hopefuly we will get FSD soon which will make this problem mostly go away. However, like you mentioned, selling individual parts of FSD like Autopark for smaller fees would also be a great idea!
@robotinreallife FSD is far too expensive for most. It's like 1/5 of the base car value and you can't sell it and you'll be lucky if you can transfer it. Nah, I don't see a future in that unless the price is reduced significantly (or monthly fee reduced also) and ofcourse the features can be used anywhere. Right now it simply doesn't offer value in the EU, at all. Parking should be a standard feature that could be a selling point. Especially now that EVs are NOT selling that good anymore in the EU.
I agree that FSD is expensive for now, even in the US. In the EU it just doesn't make sense. However, with truly autonomous driving, the value skyrockets immediately. And the only self-driving cars will be EV cars. That tells you everything you need to know to project how this is going to play out in the future...
@@robotinreallife by the time FSD is really useful the current hardware will be outdated and will need more processing power. Most Tesla's on the planet are on HW3 or older. If an update becomes possible (which I doubt) it will be another hefty bill.
@@robotinreallife how come humans make mistakes? Sensors like lidar literally help avoid mistakes just like they already help now with manual driving, even if cameras were as perfect as healthy human eyes the usage of sensors should be mandatory Humans eyes also got major improvements over cameras like the self cleaning function of eyes, good luck driving with a tesla when anything makes the camera dirty and human eyes can sense depths better
Sure uts a cool party trick but will you ever use this in a real situation? No, of course not! You use this once when you get it to see how it is and then a second time to show your Friends. Every other time you just park yourself because its way faster and better!
I absolutely see how you could say that having experience with legacy auto, but this is Tesla and here you can expect everything to get BETTER over time, not stay the same. So you see, this feature in 2-3 years will park better, faster, more precisely than any human ever could.

Germans can only make a big eye 🥺 why were we so arrogant and made fun of Tesla and elon. But then again, Germans have never been able to program with taste and finesse good UIs because they have no taste.
No worries my friend, for some reason every manufacturer other than Tesla has horrible UI and software, not just the Germans :D I think the dinosaurs don't see how important it is.
@@robotinreallife unfortunately, they will drag Europe down with them, but countries that are hungry, open to change and innovative, such as Poland, will cope.
I mean, it is often a feature you have to pay for, the difference is that a lot of manufacturers include it in the price of the car. This feature is part of a large package of features, but I do agree and wish Tesla would allow you to pay for individual features instead of needing to buy the full package.
Takes a very long time Results are amateur You have no control of position Tesla assumes no responsibility Can’t pull through to other side Must manually engage Etc
Trains do exist, but the infrastructure is horrible in the US. Trains are also not the best use case for everything. For example in the Czech Republic, if you can get 2 people into even a gas car, it's already cheaper to use the car than to travel by the subsidized national train service. With 3+ people it's a no-brainer to travel between big cities by car, because trains are just not competitive enough on price. There are many more reasons why autonomy is a good thing and will be widely adopted in the near future.
You think Europeans actually care about US politics beyond laughing at how royally they’re fucking everything up? Teslas are good cars, many of them made in Europe. Who cares what Musk thinks? It’s not like anyone isn’t buying Chinese products because their government is a communist dictatorship currently engaged in internment and genocide on a massive scale. That’s a lot worse than what’s going on in the US, yet people still buy Chinese products no problem either.
@joelmulder Exactly :D furthermore buying a car as a personal statment or a virtue signalling opportunity seems just dumb to me. Why not just buy the car that's the safest and best deal for you and your family? Which would be a Tesla.

I want this!! Even after owning my 2024 M3 now for 3 months, I still have issues parking due to it's ridiculously large turning radius. After 30 yrs of driving nimble European cars, I had mastered parking. But somehow the Tesla always surprises me that it can't make the turn reversing in.

great video thanks! Its wild to me that Tesla has not figured out pricing for this stuff - i bet if they removed auto park from EAP they would see a massive uptake in buyers!

There just leaving money on the table right now
I certainly agree with your point! I hope they will just get rid of Enhanced Autopilot and put some of these features into basic Autopilot once FSD gets released in the EU.
Dude you should lower the dose a little bit! 😁 Jokes aside, I have squished the sides of the footage so that you could still clearly see the steering wheel while the display stays undistorted and the drone footage takes up half of the screen. It wasn't easy!
nice job
Thanks a ton, Polish neighbor I presume?
Your Tesla has USS (Ultra Sonic Sensors) on-board. Autopark works with those as well when you have them. It does not display it however.
I have a Y '24 with vision ONLY. During my 3-month trial, i used autopark a few times at IKEA and such. It worked OK , but not worth the 3500EUR to be honest.
I am aware that this car still has ultrasonics, however in my opinion the new autopark relies on vision only in all cases. Do you have any definitive proof is still relies on ultrasonics? I'm almost sure it doesn't.
In the future you won't be able to get out of your car after you parked
Haha :D With Smart Summon and Banish, you get out of your car BEFORE it parks on its own. Then it comes and picks you up. This is real right now in the US. Search TH-cam for Actually Smart Summon (ASS) and coming to Europe in a matter of weeks (months at worst)
Can you tell it to park more to the right in a corner spot so there is more space for the driver to open the doors?
It should do that on its own, like other FSD features, this one is going to get better over time as well.
@@robotinreallife Cool. Does it sense if there are passengers in the car or just a driver and adjust accordingly?
It has a driver faced camera that monitors not only if the driver is there, but also if he's actually paying attention, which is required!
So if you engage FSD and try to check your phone for example, it will remind you to pay attention to the road 😁
Long-term the goal is of course for this to no longer be neccessary and it looks like we are pretty close to that!
Autopark in Europe?! Germany ?! Not posible
Yes possible! Czech Republic, but we can do Germany as well! Any time!

Nice! We have autopark here in the UK too but we don't have the option to select a parking space. Maybe because we are RHD?
That might be it! I hope you get the latest updates soon. Curious about how much later will FSD release in RHD countries versus regular EU...

4:00 - this is so bad. Really shitty parking. It totally misses the spot.
Yeeahhh... I'll have to agree with you on that one :D
1:48 you saw really fast and precise moves. I saw many useless moves...
We are not the same...
Now test the fsd capability that includes trafic lights and stop signs and needs to be confirmed. Because of the regulations. It is in europe.
If someone needs such driving aid with so big parking spots, then he should not have a driving license in the first place
That's the idea. Not everyone can drive, but everyone needs to go places. Be kind to other people and respect their needs.
There are other alternatives for people how cannot/don’t want to drive
There’s nothing more dangerous that wrong person behind a steering wheel, especially for people who are outside and not drive.
Totally understand and agree. We'll have to get FSD first for any of this to be worth the price paid.
Let me break it down:
build quality - hasn't been a problem for years now, outdated info and FUD
emergency wire story - false, fake news FUD
Musk's Trump Endorsement - saved the world from the Kamala Puppet regime and potentially WW3 - you're welcome
maintenance - Tesla has the lowest maintenance of any car manufacturer, again outdated info, fake news and FUD
I would recommend you seriously reconsider where you're getting your information from and also researching "confirmation bias"
If you need auto park you should not be driving😂
You're missing the point - soon no-one will be driving and the cars will be driving you. If you like driving as a human, prepare to lose it because it will be too dangerous to be allowed in the near future.
I enjoyed the English accent so much. As a Spanish native speaker myself I was overwhelmed by it. Where is this accent from ? . PS: thanks for the quality of content and equipment involved in the video also.

Oh no! Fortunately that's exactly what Actually Smart Summon (ASS) is for! Coming soon to Europe and to this channel as well ;)
very unimpressed tbh, pretty much any other manufacturer is able to park by itself as well
That may be true if it used the same technology to get the same result. This is impressive because it’s using CAMERAS ONLY, no radar, lidar and whatever everyone else uses.

That they can do it without the sensors now and even better.
Basically your video confirms that autopark on Tesla is still crap :D And as a tesla owner I can confirm it :D
How so? :) Thanks for the comment, but can you elaborate?
@@robotinreallife Sure, aborting parking randomly (why did it start in a first place if it can't park?), incorrect parking in the bays. And you didn't even try parallel parking, which is even worse as it will kerb you all around :D
Gonna try parallel next time for sure!
Much to improve and learn from other cars. Not having sensors and leaving everything in the hands of the cameras doesn't work.
How come that humans drive only using cameras (eyes) then?
If you followed development of FSD from the beginning you'd know that camera vision is the best way forward hands down.
I can't recall the last time a human driver came with ultrasonic, Lidar, or radar sensors, and yet we still manage to drive just fine.
Exactly :D
@@robotinreallife how come humans make mistakes? Sensors like lidar literally help avoid mistakes just like they already help now with manual driving, even if cameras were as perfect as healthy human eyes the usage of sensors should be mandatory
Humans eyes also got major improvements over cameras like the self cleaning function of eyes, good luck driving with a tesla when anything makes the camera dirty and human eyes can sense depths better

@@robotinreallife I drive a Tesla since 2 years, and Autopilot got WORSE over those 2 years, not better! So lets see how it goes with autopark.

Downside: Tesla is nearly ALWAYS correcting it's parking

@robotinreallife because its (offen) Not necessary and increases the time to park.

Who has time to use this. It's a gimmick.
What about people who can't drive? Should they just stay at home then?
@@robotinreallife trains exist, they are even free for disabled people in Germany, not sure about the rest of europe
