mass effect is such an amazing game. you’re gonna have such a good time. you dunno how many times ive played this it’s too good davo 😩 edit: also it is recommended to make your own custom shephard to fully immerse yourself in the game you don’t have to stay default. like he’s you! and any custom shepard you make carries over to the next games so you don’t have to remake them

The gray options are what Charm and Intimidate are for. The rest of the unusable skills will unlock when you put enough points in the one above them.

26:55 that option is tied to renegade. Paragon and renegade are increased by your dialogue and certain actions. They unlock new dialogue options that give the most rewards and best case outcomes. You wanna try doing the side content to pump these up as if you dont have either high enough it could literally make squadmates deaths unavoidable. Also every decision you make in these games carries over to the following and effects the outcomes. Even small interactions can lead to larger rewards in the sequels

I remember starting this game and never finishing it. The combat and story were both good though, I honestly have no excuse for stopping

EDIT: NON spoilery help just in case: dialogue to the left of the wheel is extra information, dialogue to the right of the wheel often moves the convo forward. try to always choose top right or bottom right dialogue choices (paragon and renegade options) since they give paragon/renegade points. that's about it. enjoy one of the goat games of all time.

Tip for ADP: Don't look at your ADP level, look at your Agility stat. On average, you want Agility to be around 100, which is between 20-30 ADP, depending on how heavy your build is. Hence why the Meta PVP level is 150 for this game as opposed to 125 like with DS1 & DS3

You deadass don't need ADP like that. 25 tops unless you are PVPing. This is why overlistening to people as the backseat game can get annoying because most gamers don't know what the hell they are talking about. Focus on the build you want and if you think you need more iFrames than put some points into it. It's you playthrough after all.

Im so sick and tired of every youtube title saying this is the worst souls game. Although its not the favorite of the series for fans, giving that title always makes it sound like the game itself is bad, which its an underrated masterpiece that went through a development hell. If it was smooth sailing, it would probably have been the best of the souls series.

Don’t worry about adp. It doesn’t get in the way of your build. Levels come much faster and more often in ds2 than any other souls game. So youll get all the adp you need (around 30 by the end) as well as more than enough points in all other stats

Adp gives you more dodge invincibility

So. Adaptability. Makes the game more easy. Gives you more i-frames, makes you slightly quicker, makes you drink quicker, ups you resilience to fall damage. Easy mode=high ADP. Hard mode is less ADP. It can be played fine without it, but you'll have to accustom to strafing more if you don't want to use a shield. High high ADP is practically broken in dodge frames which lets casual players have more options. Build variety options in DS2 is 3-5x that of ds1 and ds3.

Yeah losing max HP every time you die is the main reason I stopped playing this game. It's an incredibly stupid mechanic.

Darksouls 2 is a good game, its just the worst of the souls games. Mostly because Miyazaki wasn't the creative director for this one, and some of the mechanics are janky.

Also if the place your in seems a little hard you can go other ways such as the forest of giants.
