when you beat Lautrec you got the fire keeper soul from firelink back. So now you should be able to resurrect her and have your firelink bonfire lit up again. UNLESS, you chose to use it to upgrade the flask with that soul, but you're never getting firelink bonfire back then

Players who join the Gravelord Servant covenant can put a curse on the worlds of other players which causes strong enemies to appear in the cursed players' worlds. The cursed players have to invade the Gravelord servant and defeat them to lift the curse. If you're close to an area where you can invade them you'll usually see a black invasion sign on the ground that follows you around every few metres. If the Gravelord servant is invaded and killed by another player, dies in their world, or logs off the game, then the curse is lifted and the cursed players get the message saying disasters are gone.
Adding a note to this ~ Doesn't really affect gameplay until NG+; you can still see the signs of a gravelord and invade them on your first playthrough, but disasters that spawn black phantoms as additional enemies will not appear until the NG+ run.
Firelink shrine's bonfire is gone forever in this playthrough cause you used her soul to upgrade your flask. You're supposed to take it back to her cell at firelink and use it to resurrect her. It has a different description when you read it but that's something that's easy to miss.
It's an easy mistake to make, we'll it's not even a mistake as the trade off is a better flask at this point. Gonna be wild runback to new londo though.

PRO TIP: You can use the boss souls at the giant blacksmith at anor londo for some cool weapons. First you have to upgrade certain weapon to lvl 10 and then ascend to a boss weapon.

Davo, i think you needed the firekeepers soul that you got from Lautrec's fight to revive the lady at the firelink shrine (specifically that firekeepers soul). But i'm afraid you've used it already :( You can still use the firelink shrine bonfire to warp tho.
The difference between a normal chest and a mimic is the chain, normal chests have the chain curving back to behind the chest while mimic chains point straight forward towards the front of the chest also if you look closely you can see the mimic breathing
this will sound like back seating but the intention is more to remind you of options i would suggest, when you're watching gameplay back to edit it you are making very bad mistakes and not learning the lessons from them for example, using the thrust move on the claymore when it kept missing (weapons have attack arches that you should keep in mind before picking which attack to use in a given moment, in a tight corridor using a wide slash wouldn't be good, for example) - you actually did learn this through pure frustration, but i really hope it actually applies to the rest of your playthrough because watching you be frustrated is not nearly as enjoyable as watching you enjoy the game it's vital to remember this isn't elden ring, posture breaks don't exist on bosses, you can't charge heavies for more damage, all they offer is a different moveset with slightly higher damage, but the overall dps is lower since they're slower I've been watching since the very first elden ring trailer reaction and you have become easily my favourite souls creators, keep up the great work and equip the FAP ring 🙏

Normal chests have the chain on their right side laid out in a broken circle/loop, while the chain on a mimic is always wavy and pointing ahead of it. Secondly, if you look closely, you can see the mimic breathing while its closed. And as a quick tip, the Lloyd's Talisman can be used to put mimics to sleep, allowing you to loot them freely. Congrats on making the halfway mark, enjoy that well earned fast travel.

Grave servants are only NG+, but you still get the alerts if on the same level of the map. Would make invader like tough enemies appear until the Grave servant causing them is vanquished by invading their left sign.
There's an old poem I just made up to help with identifying mimics; "if the chain has a curl, give it a whirl. If the chain is straight, fuck that, that's a mimic" it's not a great poem, but hopefully it helps.
