Can these paints be applied over laminate flooring that has underfloor wet heating system? Will the heating output be affected and does the paint flake off etc due to heating?
Sanding paper does NOTHING to the tiles. Im doing it with the sanding machine. I tried even 60 grain paper (150, 120, 80 and 60) but nothing. Not a single scratch. Would it be ok still to use the paint on the bathroom floor?
Hello, The instructions are via the product page on the website: www.epodex.com/en/product/tile-paint-2k-all-colours/ Instructions for use - STEP BY STEP Sand the tiles with sandpaper. Cover/tape off surfaces that are not to be covered with a plastic drop cloth and masking tape. Pre-clean and degrease tiles with the EPODEX PRE-CLEANER. Mix resin (A-component) with hardener (B-component) in a ratio of 5:1 (e.g., 500g resin: 100g hardener). We recommend mixing small quantities of approx. 600g per coat, as the material is very reactive and thickens quickly (pot life: 90min. at 1kg). Colour the material with the WB pigment supplied and pour it into the paint tray. Apply material in a criss-cross pattern and allow to dry (approx. 12 hours at 20°C). We recommend approx. two coats. If desired, retouch the tile joints with the EPODEX grout pen and ruler. EPODEX
I am considering using Tile Paint 2K to paint some heavy-duty ceramic bathroom floor tiles as part of a makeover. The area will need to be moisture resistant, and to some degree will need to withstand small water puddles as the tiles go to the edge of a bath. The tiles are not smooth, rather they have a pitted, textured finish - meaning that sanding prior to application of the product might be difficult. Would this product be suitable? Also, would you recommend using a primer such as Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 before applying the paint?
Hi Tom, Thank you for your interest in our products. We recommend the Tile Paint 2K. www.epodex.com/en/product/tile-paint-2k-all-colours/ EPODEX TILE PAINT 2K has a satin finish and is abrasion resistant. This 2-component paint is ideal for painting tiles subject to heavy wear and tear on floors, walls, and ceilings. In addition, this paint is specially designed for tiles that are in constant contact with water (e.g., in a shower). It is the perfect solution to modernise your tiles in a durable way. Consumption Volumes: 120-150g/m². The quantities listed on our website are for one coat so double up to cover your sqm for two coats which are recommended. Depending on the texture of the tiles, use 80 grit for high-gloss tiles and 150 grit for matt tiles before you apply the product. Then use our Pre-cleaner found in your equipment tab. We do not recommend using a primer as we cannot guarantee the adhesion with our product. Detailed instructions for use can be found at the link above. Once fully cured the tiles are waterproof and chemically resistant :) TEAM EPODEX
Hello, Yes, epoxy resin-based paint can be used on kitchen countertops. Epoxy paint creates a tough, scratch-resistant surface, making it suitable for high-traffic areas like kitchen countertops. Epoxy forms a waterproof coating, which is important for countertops that will be exposed to spills and moisture. EPODEX
Hi Paul, Thank you for your interest in our products. Rough sandpaper for example P400 can be used. www.epodex.com/en/product/waterproof-sandpaper-230x280mm/ TEAM EPODEX
Hello, It wouldnt be easy no :( Removing paint is never easy. We offer the 1K acrylic based paint and the 2K epoxy resin based paint. The 1K would be easier but still a hard and messy job. EPODEX
@@epodex-uk3877 another question. Someone mentioned that they had different colour when dried as while painting they were putting more paint from mixing cup to tray seemed like paint already darkened?

Hello,
Some tiles are not sandable, you can continue with the use of our Pre-Cleaner, and then 2 coats minimum of the Tile Paint.
What is the best method for edges on the floor, as the roller is unlikely to get a clean line at the edges and corners... Should a brush be used?
Hello Paul, we recommend using masking tape to cover the edge. You can either use a paint brush or a small roller to paint the edge.
I received the materials with no instructions what's the recommended ratio ?
