The RM Pro Black is subtractive black. It is a real black. It is generated with CYM (Cyan, Yellow, Magenta) which subtracts light to create black. This is how vast majority of printers operate. CYMK with the K is an added black to it, which is a deeper and true black we see on the RM2. So both are actually the color black in color theory, just the RM2 is deeper black. If deep blue is showing then they should be able to fix via update, as it means the color display is mixing more Cyan and less of the other two colors.
As he sad, it is not very noticeable. Just looking at my RMPP by itself I can't see it. Inks on a printer is normally true cyan, magenta and yellow, but I do not think that is the case for RMPP. Apart from the colours being muted I think the yellow is very good, red/magenta and the red to yellow spectrum is good, blue by itself is ok (the lighter blue colours being a bit to dark) and red to blue spectrum is good, but the blue to yellow spectrum (green colours) are weak. I don't have a Boox tablet, but based on comparison videos of the Boox colours and RMPP it seams like Boox has weak yellow and red colours (both looking brown) but ok blue and green (so I think it probably has better green than RMPP while overall the colours are better at RMPP). I think it would have been a good idea to include green ink on the RMPP (like Canon does on some Pixma printers like the Pro9000). I guess it would make the colour mixing more complex, but it would give better green colours. They might be able to improve the colour mixing somewhat, but I think the problem is that the blue is to dark. (Hopefully it isn't to confusing with me mixing red/magenta and blue/cyan here, but I am more used to think in the RGB spectrums than the CMYK spectrums).
Nobody has made a vid review on YT of the RMP from the perspective of an artist. My curiosoty is this: how good is the RMP for drawing, on a mid gray (or perhaps mid-color) template background. Think 'ciaroscuro', drawing forms using values (from light to dark) to sorf of "sculpt" the drawing from light to dark (plus color). Thank you for reading ✌️
@@muraldoctor1 Thanks for your comment, there is a TH-camr called Kit Masters who said he was bringing out a video of him doing a drawing in it, I don’t believe it is released yet though.
my rm2 nib would be worn after a week, pro is still going strong after 3 weeks. back light is a big difference in low light, rm2 is not usable the pro very subtle back light is very good, I dont like how boox does it or the scribe
@@OrganisedByJoe thanks. There is a lot of Scribe's user, could be cool to make a video comparing the note taking capabilities and the pdf capabilities of note taking. Im impressed by the way Paper Pro has a way to write in the margins, I think Scribe does not.
Good video, informative that is :), cheers

Another small difference... The time you may have to wait before getting one... Few days for a RM2 and at least one month for a RMPP 😂
@@julienbruguier6406 Haha, fingers crossed it arrived soon for you.
@@OrganisedByJoe nope... Ordered on the 5th of September, and still not sent by RM... 😅
Thanks so much

Good Job! Thanks. Can you please tell me if the remarkable paper pro feels more like paper than the kindle scribe?
@@airrfourr2400 I would say so yes. More abrasive although the pen is heavier than the scribe pen.

Thanks, but you missed to compare the drawing and writing quality
@@Sina-sd6qp You’re welcome, this video is just for lesser known differences rather than listing them all. I have other videos on the writing!
It has a frontlight, backlight does not work with an e-Ink panel...
@@Coboldt64 Apologies yes I was aware of that, a slip of the tongue!
I could not add pen tips to my cart at check-out when I bought the Pro. Will have to fork out $$$ for exhorbitant shipping fees when the time comes..
@@tianm1m160 If you got a pen then the tips come with the pen 👍
@@OrganisedByJoe yes but I was hoping to buy an additional pack to save on shipping costs 😭
