I wish we can copy text from pdf fikes and to get screenshots of ODF files to copy photos or tables to another files... it helpts in studying and creating summeries... I am a medical student

The update I like very much is changing the position of templates grouping. Before the update, if I added a new group, the group titles overlapped each other. Now bringing "Landscape" and "Portrait" down, there is a plenty of space for adding new groups.

Thank you. Good update and summary. I wonder if they will ever increase the backlight on the pro device? That is my only complaint - its too dark. Everyone who sees it laughs at how dark it is..

Glad I saw this video. I did not get the RPP to draw with, but I have wanted to make shapes to illustrate some ideas frequently to others. It was a reason I considered returning it but seems to soon be a non-issue.

I think your views are really valuable. I bought one on release and returned it as the contrast on PDF documents was too poor for my use. I loved the writing feel, the size and the colour, but for the money it fell short of meeting my needs. Now, a couple of months later, I’m really glad I did. Remarkable seem to have released as soon as they possibly could and a little delay to get the software and quality control right might’ve made a huge difference.

I went through three units. My launch unit I thought was perfect until I compared screen color with others. Mine was darker so I returned. Ordered from Best Buy retailer and that one had light pinholes. Took it back in person to exchange and that one is perfect so far. All devices in Dave OS version too so these problems were not software. I nearly gave up but I just can’t give it up. The screen size is perfect, pen feels good, syncing is great (for me) and love their browser extension. Part of me wonders how much of these issues might be coming from shipping handling. I could personally not live with a device that had flaws that bugged me daily. Not for the price. If you can’t get it anywhere else and you definitely want one, I’d return and get another one personally. I’m sorry they’ve let you down.

My RM PP suffered from ghosting in the form of a yellow tinge on the bottom half of the screen. Some days it was really intense with a red hue in the top half of the screen as well. The couple of days it worked properly with a white background, it was amazing! Never had any issues with the electronic buzzing though. Disappointed to return it, but the super note A5X2 looks better suited to my needs.

I feel for you having received 2 devices with issues. I have tested my screen using your dark template and thankfully, I have no dead pixels. Also, I have been listening out for my RMPP making the noise you have experienced, but thankfully I don't seem to have that issue on my unit either. Fingers crossed it doesn't start doing it!🤞I do think their QC needs looking at - it isn't a cheap device and it shouldn't be hit and miss on getting a good unit or not. Hope you manage to resolve this with Remarkable.

I think the quality went downhill at ReMarkable and I don't really like the general direction they are going with their products. I bought a Boox Note Air 3 Color at the time the Paper Pro came out and I am much happier than I ever was with my ReMarkable2. It can do everything a RM can and in some cases it does it better for less money.

I am experiencing issues with marker not being able to write sometime (occasionally) and brightness level at the beginning of the day even if its at highest brightness level , i need to manually change and take it at the highest level again.. is it normal?

I totally get your frustration. I now went through 3 faulty devices with 2 issues: extreme wobbly lines on diagonals and dead pixels/pin holes. I won't give them a 4th chance and decided to ask for a refund. After reading multiple accounts of people going through faulty devices back to back I just have to assume they don't have their QA game down at this point. And if they are positioning themselves as a premium brand, I fully expect them to deliver on it. And thank you for making a video about it, I hope remarkable can fix those issues down the line.

Adding the additional page worked fine but I couldn’t copy the shapes into the journal? Am I doing something wrong?

Lamy with the Boox nib (more "scratchy" feeling, closer to a fountain pen) is the winning combo for me.

I don't have the remarkable but I use a glass nail file to refine my scribe pen nibs

How do you feel about the tint to the "white" of the screen in daytime ambient lighting (greyish with the light off or yellowish with the light on)? Does it bother you that it looks a little desaturated/washed out or have you not noticed this? Thanks!

Holding the nib against a piece of white paper would offer better contrast than against you hand. Thanks for posting the topic.

Thank you for your video. I agree about the screen size, I’d much rather a smaller size. With the noise, can you hear it all the time or only when going through PDFs? I work in a therapeutic setting and a noise like that could be really distracting. Thanks again.

Love this! As someone new to template designing with a focus on Mental Health and Social Media Management. What are some tips for planning and strategy when in the creative phase of making a template?

Is there anyway to set up the template so you are able to enter text on it? I know it seems trivial but some items for my templates I prefer to type and then just get a signature :)

In my opinion that high pitched tone may be a capacitor squeal although that would normally mean a fail very quickly so if the device is not failing quickly emanating a high pitch sound it would most probably be a coil whine as it changes the screen just a thought, I may be wrong.

Just purchased these and they are superb. Thank you. Just one question. I am new to Remarkable and read that when Remarkable updates its software it can delete imported templates,etc. May this happen with these multicoloured notebooks since i am using them for essential work related projects. The 11.8' format is far too imposing for comfortable use in note-taking.

Just "group sharing" - I have no dead pixels, and no buzzing that I can hear. Bought mine early, didn't get it till late September (as far as manufacturing date).
