I grew up a huge 49ers fan and was at the 92' NFC championship game , which even though we lost was an awesome game to witness . I have to give it to the 92 cowboys , they beat the last 3 Super Bowl champions that year , it was definitely a passing of the torch moment and year for Big D .

Irvin said it best: if Johnson hadn’t departed after the 93 season- they would’ve won at least 5 Super Bowls. That said, I miss that era of football. And sports in general. Not just because I’m a cowboys fan, but because it was great watching every team and every player fight for every yard, play through the pain, and especially keep bringing it through every tackle and every whistle.

More so the way he handled Charles Haley- George Seifert could not handle him which proved to be their loss and the cowboys' gain and they will live with the fact that they had a hand in helping Dallas ascend to the summit of the NFL...and now Jimmy is rightfully enshrined in the Pro Football HOF...

I don't think people give Aikman credit where it's due. He only threw for 20 or more tds once in his career but it goes beyond numbers with him, it's the way he played in big games. And if he had to throw 30 to 35 times per game in a different offense he would've been more than capable of doing so. I'm no cowboys fan by any stretch, but in my opinion Aikman is a top 5 passer to ever play if your going strictly based on throwing mechanics and passing of the football

They could not put up any argument that Dallas was the best team. I remember specifically during games I felt comfortable taking a break when the offense was on the field and going to get something to eat or use the restroom. Because I knew that the Dallas Cowboys would score almost every time on every Drive. That was a great feeling

They won in 1996 on sheer talent alone, but from then on, old Jerry's been in it for the money and fame. Winning no longer matters to him or that franchise.
