God bless you Bill Wallace. I will continue to practice this training drill. The benefits of doing them are real. And at 64 you have shown me how to keep my legs strong and fit thank you sir.
This is the most accurate comment I've ever read on YT. I had the honor of meeting Superfoot and taking one of his seminars.. he really is just a nice person.
Isn’t that the truth. I merry him at a Martial Arts Symposium. He opened us up with stretches. I found myself wanting to stretch just a little more and a little further. My legs and thighs are still feeling it a couple of years later.
Had the privilege of training at his seminar in Brownsville, TN a couple weeks ago. I've been to a total of 4 of his seminars. Superfoot is 71 years YOUNG! A super athlete, a great fighter, & an all round goofy, great human being. He's a champ both in & out of the ring.
I met Mr. Wallace at one of my full contact kickboxing fights! He came to my locker room and told me I was a very good fighter. I won my fight and for him to shake my hand and tell me that, I will treasure for ever.
"I watched my father spar with Bill Superfoot Wallace at an exhibition here in Henrietta, New York at The Dome Arena in 1976. My father also purchased one of his leg stretching devices that I wish I still had,-- it truly worked wonders for the inner thigh for kick range and injury prevention. Bill could box with his feet better than many could with their hands. Honored to meet him at age 13."
Have been lucky enough to train with him a couple of times and he was a judge on one of my fights( stopped the opponent in 2). His skill level, flexibility, humility, knowledge and humour were humbling, impressive and great to be around. A true legend, who can still do it when most are talking about what they "used to" be able to do. If he's ever doing a seminar around your area, attend it you won't regret it! If you don't get the chance, enjoy his videos and get his books, There's something in them for everyone.
Wallace is 77. Was 76 1 yr ago. We trained with him at our Dojo 6 times over the last 30 years. He really is amazing. You're right, he's the real deal.
As a guy who's only trained Muay Thai, I love this style of kicking. It takes a special athlete to kick like Superfoot but damn is it an effective tool in your arsenal.
I added this to my training I been doing martial arts since I was 7 I am 43 now kicking was strength like bill. His techniques kicking drills really helps.
Ha! Thought I recognise old superfoot ! 😆 He was on the cover of 1 of my old Combat mags or 1 of the other martial arts magazines I use to buy n the mid/late 80s. 👊🏼😁👍🏼
+Federico Rama Nugraha definitely with a chair! For safety reasons and also becaus this way you can fully concentrate on your muscles. For balance training I recommand an uneven surface, or better a balance board! Brush your teeth on it. Your knee will thank it to you. Besides, balance is a dynamic issue. You'll notice, once you can kick as high as you want, the balance issue becomes marginal. Hf with your training °-^
My Teacher told me not to lift my knee, when I almost kiced everybodys ass in the gym. But when I fought his right hand (Senpai) and was about to kick his ass, the sensai told me it is forbidden to lift your knee. Because I can lift it almost 1,5m. It was my first month in that dojo. I usually was good in defending myself and very quick with my knee, THEY REPROGRAMMED ME. I left it in less than a year. Now I must unlearn everything. Kickboxcenter Hamburg.
Always liked Bill Wallace. Met him 3 times, once at a tournament, twice in training. Even after his hip replacements, still better than me. Great sense of humor, not as famous as Chuck Norris outside the martial arts community, but a great guy. Like this
I'm physically unable to do what you're doing. Maybe begin with what I AM able to do...and grow from there. Thanks for the information. I choose to improve and you helped.
This dude used to kick more ass than most. Damn he was good and he was not called Superfoot Wallace for nothing. Glad to find you here and learn from the knee up first, got to get some great kicks when you put the knee up first.
In Hung Kuen you train on suppleness, strength and balance, holding leg out to the front, side and rear, gradually raising height and time. When mastered you can be shown a new kick and perfect it in a handful of attempts, as the root of any kick suppleness, strength and balance.
Mr wallace goes to my kick boxing club every 2 years sadly i missed him i didnt know about booking and stuff:( its my first year of kick boxing and im even happy to know that he goes to my club every 2 years
I'm 75 and use a stationary bike at gym for these exercises.his flexibility is amazing.my high is chest level.my knee starts to sink lower after 5kicks.hes givin me good training technique ideas to improve..always learnin.
This is awesome. Bill is the BOMB. Was, is, and always will be. Question: 1. Can this same principle be applied for dancers and their develope kicks? 2. Does Super Foot have a book out with a full workout for stretching? I know Pavel T. does
+Bill Calhoun He has several videos out there for stretching. But you know, from my experience it's better to learn the physiology of streching. Once understood, and it realy isn't difficult to understand, you'll figure out how to strech what by your own. For a start I realy recommend wikipedia. Start from there. (oh btw, there is something "new" out there: fascial training. It contributes as much to your flexibility as "muscle" stretching. You might want to have a look at it.)
The Superfoot can basically write his name on the ceiling with his toes, I can't see why that _wouldn't_ be good for dance. Thats the thing about martial arts, it pretty much helps with any sport if you do it right.
Its not easy Bill but its so damn effective!! before I can only kick half of my height, hip level but now it got higher that I myself cant believe and the kick is a lot easier and lighter.
It is indeed, isn't it? I actually use it a lot at home and it realy improved my kicking. If you like Superfoot Wallace you got to check out his "self defense" video ^^ it's kind of hillarius =D
God bless you Bill Wallace. I will continue to practice this training drill. The benefits of doing them are real. And at 64 you have shown me how to keep my legs strong and fit thank you sir.
He's like the Bob Ross of kicking
Lol so true
BILL WALLACE IS A BULLY AND A SLEAZE!
Only he's actually a god at kicking (I just dissed bob ross and I'm not sorry)
@@leoprzytuac3660 Nobody has had a lead leg kick like him, ever!

"You'll find out you have muscles where you didn't know you had places."
I had a giggle with that, oh yeah he ain't kidding!
One of the best line in century xD
So true
Isn’t that the truth. I merry him at a Martial Arts Symposium. He opened us up with stretches. I found myself wanting to stretch just a little more and a little further. My legs and thighs are still feeling it a couple of years later.

Right? This is the philosophers stone of kicking!

That old man can still kick my head off. He's still VERY strong. Amazing character and martial arts knowledge when he visited our Dojo
Bill is such a quality person, and a hell of a teacher and martial artist.
There's no school like Old School. AWESOME!!! 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
There is a 40 year old movie called “A Force of One” with Superfoot and Chuck Norris. Worth the watch to see him in action-and not a bad actor either.

Thank you Bill! I feel stronger using these kicking exercises. God bless!
This guy is amazing.
I was blown away when I saw him easily put his foot that high. I can’t get anywhere close to that...
Superfoot was and still is a legend, wish I could train under him.
He has a lot of instructionals, use them. It's as close as you will get but you can master his game.
He's got alot of resources out there
@@TaoistSwordsman I am glad that his videos are easy to find. But it would be legendary to train in person with him
Just found your vids. Just what I needed. 59 and been back in TKD last couple years but no strength getting legs up for roundhouse etc.
Thankyou. 👍

Karate and Taekwondo once a week can be great for upping your kicking game.

Whipping power!
The drills give you great leg strength and flexibility for any martial art involving kicking.
my leg is burning from just watching this.
Yes sir. He is really good to be a lefty. I've been following Super Foot for years. Great man!
I love this man, i love the way you teaches!!
His low is almost my high...

Mine as well, but it still felt great doing this routine! :D
This is a GREAT METHOD! It helps you to improve your kicks.
He had this in his book on Stretching and Kicking
1:00 I had just mastered the art of deciding whether to leave my shoes on or off, then suddenly his body spirals to the heavens
It is beautiful to see the power of self defense explained in such easy movements. Thanks Mr. Wallace.

His right knee is blown. That's why he can only kick with his left leg.
That was due to a car accident tho!

Huge contribution to Americas Martial arts....Mr.Wallace was brilliant...excellent martial artist...
Super foot Wallace is a beast. I saw him take out an undefeated champ in his younger days. He made it look easy.
This works well for both high and low kicks. Mr Wallace is the Master of his fighting style!
