I used to watch Bill Wallace fights on Saturday afternoons when I was 12, 13, etc. Later, my first job was in a theatre, and we showed "A Force of One" with Norris and Wallace. You have to remember that Americans had never seen anything like them and folks were mesmerized. Truly the good old days.

I knew Bill and spared with him once when he used to work out with his friend Glenn Keeny, my Sensei, at Glenn's Komokai Academy of Judo and Karate in Anderson Indians. He rode with us once to a tournament in Aurora Illinois and refereed one of my matches. What a great guy!

They sent me on a life long journey that yielded an Okinawan Karate Black Belt, a brief semi-pro Full-Contact Karate/Kick-Boxing career, a Brazilian JiuJitsu Black Belt, one MMA smoker, three Muay Thai smokers four broken noses, fractured ribs, broken jaw, broken metatarsal, and fifteen stitches. Thanks boys! I enjoyed every minute of it!

Kicked his opponent over the top rope, and into the third row of the audience, with what looked like a combination side thrust, back kick. It was so fast, came up between opponents guard and clipped him on the chin. AWESOME

Love and respect em both. They could have learned a bit on proper hand positions while kicking from my instructor, Mr Michael L Branam, though. Leave themselves open to counters.
That lead hand should be down, in a fist, protecting the groin from a counter kick. The rear hand should be up with the top of the fist as high as where the skull starts to curve in towards the top with the forearm and elbow tucked in covering the sternum and solar plexus.

Both of them had double hip replacement surgeries.
Physical Therapists will tell you all the extreme hip stretching, high kicking and over rotation of hip joints is very bad for the hip joint, leading to alot of excess wear & tear resulting in hip replacement surgeries.
Boxing is also very destructive to the rotator cuffs in the shoulders.

Every time when bill wallace executing a high kick he does a step with back leg, very one sided and that gives opponent a signal that he's gonna kick.

@@VazgenHakobyan stepping back leg is one way however, it doesn't actually mean a kick, it could be a punch as well. Also, 3 different kicks so good looking figuring which one. Trying to jam him you walk into a side kick, or a jab.

@@ezrasaya Dear friend, i also did karate. What i mean is that his movements and kicks are very one-sided. I never saw him doing mae-geri or knee-kicks. For example look how kyokushin guys are kicking almost from every stance and without that stepping back leg. Imagine him fighting in a full-contact karate match with one of Mas Oyama's strong students.

@@VazgenHakobyan he has sparring matches with kyokushin guys. See, he has his system so fine tuned for him he made ot work for me. Now, you may not can, i may not can... he did. Also, we are on outside and we can see better then someone right in front of you. You assume he will kick, he is probably baiting you... you start to counter or defend his movement and open up sonewhere else and either a punch or his leg is there. In all his fight, everyone knew he had only 3 kicks... he still came out on top. The reason... you never knew which kick was coming or when. He didnt use the mae geri as he used his side kick for that directional kick. His roundhouse was a jab.

@@ezrasaya I got your point of view Ezra. Anyway, it was a pleasure talking with martial arts enthusiast like me. We all grew up on Bruce Lee's, Chuck Norris, Van Damme, Jackie Chan & Seagal movies and because of their influence we went to train karate in 1990s in Armenia. But i have to say my friend that their era started to end when UFC came. As Bruce said mix martial arts is evolution of martial arts.

Bill Wallace was a full contact kickboxing champion, while Chuck only competed in non contact. However, Chuck may have won a real fight...but only due to his BJJ training.
