Ali would defeat Tyson ,context being Ali defeated great punchers numerous times during his career ,Foreman ,Liston and Shavers considered by many boxing historians as arguably the hardest punchers ever ,Frazier another agressive bobbing weaving ,attacking predator ,Norton broke Ali's jaw ,none ever stopped Ali thus the ridiculous assessment many fans have that Tyson knockout Ali is lacking in historical context .Second Tyson never won a bout he was knocked to the canvas ,trailed inthe latter rounds or against another historically great heavyweight,Spinks wasn't a great heavyweight ,he was a great light heavyweight , thus the psychological advantage again goes to Ali who conquered many great heavyweights . I agree with Angelou Dundee's statement after the first Ali Frazier encounter ,I believe Ali actually won their first match, Frazier succeeded at capturing the favorable optic moment by giving Ali a tough battle and knocking him down which caused the judges and many witnesses of the match to annoit Frazier the victor ,Ali won the most rounds ,period , his vulnerability after being such a dominate ,brash ,champion was tainted a bit during the Frazier battle which impacted folks to not be objective , Angelou Dundee was adamant of the fact that Ali won the first bout ,and Ali after reviewing the film also felt the same way . What proper context can anyone utilize to give Tyson a victory over Ali ,Frazier who also was a pressing ,stalking fighter ,was mentally tougher then Tyson ,which is one of the reasons why he gave Ali such a stern battle , Tyson wasn't as focused as Frazier , particularly against great fighters , a boxer carries the same psychological makeup from every tenure of their careers ,a respected opponent can bring out the mental weakness a boxer was successful at hidding , nevertheless it's a vice that's always present ,Ali ,like he did Liston and Foreman would have bought out that psychological vice Tyson had, and stopped him . James Quick Tillis a good heavyweight gave a prime Tyson problems ,a upright ,boxer puncher style that Ali deployed ,imagine Ali being Tillis in that bout .Any objective, conversation of Tyson beating a prime or mid career Ali ended when Tyson finished his storied career without ever beating a Hof level heavyweight champ..,context, not emotional generational biase towards a combatant who's career, especially prime activity was during someone's life time .has to be utilized , emotional nepotism always clouds rational observation.
Tyson at his speak wasn't as strong as prime George Foreman. Ali would take him past round 5 and beat him to smitherins like what Ali did to Foreman. Like how Evander did to Tyson.
They asked similar question to Ali in an interview and Ali replied saying that Tyson would win cause he might be fast but when Tyson gets him he'll be done. The mutual respect is awesome man...
"he never'd block, he was the one who.. invented the ultimate weave" (This is a joke we all know he didn't invent it but I'm just saying, give the man the respect that he deserves. didn't block unless he had too and weave'd if he was cocky + known that he wouldn't get touched. you try and do that and watch your head get knocked backwards 🤣)
@@manyuh5052 Weaving doesn't always work. As Tyson said he didn't really have any defense as in he didn't block or deflect most of the time, he weaved his head. Because of that the few shots that he couldn't weave per match got to him over the years and gave him brain damage.

That's a boxing term for not letting your opponent catch full breaths.
