Joe Frazier didn't accepted the apologies because he said Ali should have apologized to him in person and not his son which is true. My Dad took me to the Ali v.Foreman fight on close circuit in Ft.Worth.He took us to the First Ali v.Frazier in 1971 at the Dallas Kiest drive in.I am 62years old and never get tired of seeing his fights.

I met Muhammad back in 1982 when I was 17. It was one of the greatest days of my life! He was everything I could hope for and more! Extremely nice to me and he didn't even have to take the time, but he did. Got to sit with him during his lunch in a hotel restaurant in Albuquerque, NM. 🥊🥊

They had the hotel restaurant closed and roped off just for him and his guys and some local news personalities. One of his guys told me I could sit at the end of his table during lunch. It was about an hour and he finally got up to go to his room, but as he walked by, I got to tell him how much he meant to me all my life, and he was so nice and kind, and before he walked away, he put his fist to my chin and made that cool 'tough' face that he would often do to pretend to be angry or intimidating, and then smiled and patted me on the back as he walked away. I'm kind of old now, but it's one of the greatest days of my life, and I remember it so clearly! I still have my autographed picture too! Sorry to type such a long story, but I'm happy to tell it. Compare his trash talking skills to that of Chael Sonnen and MacGregor and you will see why some people like me actually believe that we as a species are actually getting less inteligent,kind of like reverse evolution, he never actually insult someone or humiliate anyone and still had more fans than ANY mma fighter ever. Today MMA fighters insult each other's wives and girl friends and no one cares.

I had the great honor of having a 35 minute conversation with Ali in 1979 at the LA Forum in CA. Highly intelligent/humble man off-camera with a great sense of humor. The "mouth" aspect was just for publicity and promotion aspects only.

Alis greatest gifts were never speed or endurance.It was his unmatched wit,charisma,and what he stood for that were his greatest assetts.Knocking Ali out or winning on points was just impossible.If you started to beat him one way hed change his style to something else.Therell never be another.Not ever.
