I was also one of those people who once said Velma wasn’t renewed due to hate watching but due to the executives had already planned to renewed it after season 1 came out. I bet in 2020 during the pandemic, the execs probably did manage to make this show by having Mindy kaling prize her role to the character before people found out about it and have to split up the episodes to make a half season.
There's also the factor that on the next day after Velma 2 releases the 6 episode of Knuckles coming out also Challengers and the video game Stellar Blade will come out and I know that more people are going to watch knuckles challengers and wanting to play Stellar Blade then to watch Velma 2

TH-cam recommended me a graphic novel dub of something for children called wings of fire and in my opinion that was more adult than Velma (I wouldn’t show either to children), but it also just either does not understand what it’s doing and how depressing it is at times I think (or the writer/writers were malicious but I doubt that, either way those moments made me question what opinions the writers had while in pain from the scene) but aside from that it was alright, it’s better than Velma, if people try to beg you to cover Velma season 2 make a joke video where you claim to cover Velma season 2 but instead you talk about this weird thing instead because it’s actually interesting to talk about.

I think season 2 will be fun. My sister and I binged it and she watched it with her friends on discord as a watch party. We all enjoyed it. There were some moments that was hard to watch but compared to other adult animation, Velma was vastly more entertaining. I can't wait for season 2 of Velma along with hopefully season 2 of Fionna and Cake!
