Adapter compatible with MachE, Bronco Sport (Bad Lands, Outer Banks, First Edition), '20+ Escape (Titanium, Titanium Hybrid, Titanium PHEV, SE PHEV, SEL PHEV), 2015+ Mustang with Frameless Mirror, 2020+ Explorer (ST-Line, Limited ST, King Ranch, Platinum).
Camera is a Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2. Products were provided by Dongar Technologies.
Thank you for this video, it was just what I needed to install my mini 2 into my mach-e. Very helpful I was so scared of breaking those clips but all worked out. It took me a min to get the cords nice and neat, but all in all super easy. 🙌🙌😊

Great video! Thanks for helping me discover the dongar product as I have been searching for a way to power a small low power usb device only when my mach-e is 'engine on' as part of my home automation, and this will do the trick so much nicer than trying to tap into a fuse. Just wondering now if the output voltage on the USB ports is USB level 5v or car battery 12v... Hoping that it drops the voltage to USB voltage as it's supplied with USB cabling, and supplying 12v to a device that is made with a USB cable could be a way to let the 'magic smoke' out of the box!

I have my Dongar connector coming tomorrow. Also I am looking at the Garmin mini 2 . Recently I thought of doing a rear camera to. Would the Dongar feed power to 2 cameras?.any suggestions? Nice video, thanks. Glen
Yes, if you use a USB splitter. Rear cameras are tricky though because you'd want to mount it on the rear glass. There's not really a convenient way to feed a long USB cable back there due to the panoramic roof. You can also run the wiring under the door sill and carpets but you're better off using a hardwire kit to the fuse panel at that point.
@@easymemesniper Thanks a million. Theres a guy with a you tube channel called MISSING REMOTE..I just watched him do his mach e before watching your video. He does a dual camera and shows a very smart way to run the rear camera wire. Take a look, its pretty good. I will keep you posted. I dont know if I want to do 2 Garmins, or the Viofo dual camera set up. Thanks again for your help. Glen

Does park mode works with this dongle or do I need to use the hard wiring for that ?
The mirror in the Mach-E does not have constant power so you would have to go directly to the fuse box for that. Alternatively, some cameras such as the Nexar One have internal batteries that allow parking mode even without constant power.
Does the mach e select have auto dimming as well?
Yes it does. All Mach-E are equipped with the autodimming mirror!
