I think one of the primary use cases of the two outputs is not to plug into two TVs, but for video capturing. One out to the TV, the second out to a capture device.
Glad to see an actual 4k120 splitter appear on the market. Quite a few switches, but a very limited number of splitters.
Hopefully the one in two out splitters for 4k120 start becoming more common.

I do use 2 displays. I sometimes play on my 144 hz monitor and sometimes I like to play on my TV. This is very useful specially if you don't want to wear the HDMI inputs pulling and putting cables each time which in time can damage your HDMI ports.

    • @Halaster
      @Halaster ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@tr4gik11 Absolutely, and no surprise at all. I in no way said no one does that as I am sure plenty of people do, just that one of the "Primary Use Cases" is for video capturing instead of plugging into two TVs, which is true.

If they made one of these with at least 3 outputs, 4 inputs, and an optical port for audio, this thing would be amazing and an instant buy. Hdmi 2.1 4K 120 with all of that would be incredible.

@@TechSteve Just found your video and loved it. Thank you! I can agree with the original commenter here, not because I need 120 Hz for all devices but to avoid having multiple HDMI hubs. I've got a PS5, Series X, Nintendo Switch, Apple TV, and sound bar all that need to connect to my TV's four LG C1's four HDMI ports. So my solution will likely be combining PS5/Series X one of these, and leaving a couple of the others that don't need 120 Hz on a second HDMI hub.

Do you know if this will output to one display at a time? I want to have my ps5 and Xbox one x connected to 1x hdmi 2.1 port of my monitor, then have the other output connected to an elgato 4K capture card. With the idea of when I’m just gaming myself I’m on output 1 only so I get the 4K 120, and then when streaming/recording I switch to output 2 so I get 4K 60.
Do you know if this Is this possible? Or would it be a case of just unplugging the elgato from the switch when I want to go 4K 120?

  • @NoGoOh

I have a question and it's quite complicated.
I just bought a Xbox Series X and got Astro A40's with and MixAmp. I want to get audio from both my PC and Xbox at the same time so I can watch youtube/ Netflix while I'm gaming.
I bought the Astro HDMI Audio Extractor and connected the USB from my MixAmp to my PC and the Optical cable from my MixAmp to the Audio Extractor. But the HDMI audio extractor does not support VRR I do not get 120hz on my monitor anymore.
    So my question is:
If I buy the Orei BK-22 and connect my Xbox HDMI to the input on the Orei, then another high-speed HDMI from Output port 1 on the Orei to my monitor, then connect my HDMI audio extractor to the Output port 2 with the Optical, will I be able to retain 120hz while still getting the audio from my Xbox?

i have a msi suprim 3080ti and a PlayStation 5 and a lg c2 42 inch tv. My tv is in my media bed on a hydraulic lift but my current 2 meter cables are too short to run down and out through the bed so I have to unplug the cables every time i want to put the tv away. would i be able to us this as a way to avoid buying 2 longer 2.1 cables because the ones i would need are the new 5 meter+ ones that are about £100+ each. I am hoping i can find something like this to bridge the gap and run a 1 or 2 m 48 gb cable from the tv to the splitter and then my original 2 48gb cables out to my pc and ps5?I would only be using my ps5 or pc one at a time i dont want to use the multi window feature. I just want to be able to lower and raise the tv without unplugging cables.

What if I use the PS5 and send 4k 120HDR+VRR signal to both my TV and Denon?
Both the TV and the AVR support 4k120 HDR and VRR.
I want to send 4k120 HDR+VRR and 7.1 LPCM audio (which only the Denon supports) and use the TV input from the splitter and audio from the denon , will that work? Or will the audio get downmixed before it is sent to the denon because the TV only supports 2 channel stereo in PCM.
I know for a fact that if one of the outputs , say the TV is only 4k60 and the AVR can support 4k120 then the splitter will send 4k60 to both , but does this also happen for the audio signal? Or is the downmixing taking place at the end point after the split?
I tried this method with an old 1 in 4 out and it worked , the only issue was that it is only hdmi 1.4 and the surround back and side surrounds were switched. Will I have the same surround channels mixed issue if I do the same with this one?

Great video! This might be exactly what I've been looking for - essentially, to be used as a 4k 120hz HDMI splitter. I would use it by having an Apple TV plugged into one IN and the PS5 plugged into the other IN. One of the OUTs would go to my LG OLED and the other would go into a Philips Hue Play box (which uses HDMI data to match the color of the light strip behind the TV to the actual image put out by the PS5 and the Apple TV). I need this workaround because the Hue box does not support HDMI 2.1. Does my use case sound like the right solution to you? Thanks in advance.

I just get really confused because of the HDMI handshake: what will the console identify that I support? • @Cifer_Rox

One question. You said the two output can display simultaneously. But can it simultaneously display from a single source? For example. PS5 into input 1 for the 4K 120fps output to my TV while the other output on the splitter goes to my capture card to record. Which requires simultaneously display from a single source.
