I accidentally broke my dad's tv, and I was panicking, trying to find one the same brand of his old TV that I could afford. This video helped me decide this is what I was gonna get. Thanks.
I bought the 65-inch version of this TV (model V655-J09) about two years ago, and for the most part all my existing Blu-Rays look and sound amazing. I haven't had to turn the volume up very much either, usually hovering around the 20% mark. I wanted to start buying 4K discs when I first made this purchase, but a message board user said my TV wasn't fully capable of sending out a 4K signal. That bummed me out for a long time, until I figured how to look up the actual model number and contacted Vizio directly over the phone. They said it was purposely made with 4K in mind, but also admitted they didn't know the full specs regarding the brightness factor...which is apparently crucial for viewing content greater than 1080p. So now, I'm reading reviews online and watching related videos on TH-cam, hoping to learn as much as I can before I decide whether or not to jump on the 4K disc bandwagon.
I just got one as a gift without the manual. I see a lot of tiny dents at the back, but there is nothing like a conspicuous hole for a mount. Is this TV not meant for wall mount?
Had 3 high-end Samsungs over the last decade.. All of them crapped out on me within 5 years or less. One only lasted 1 year. So just bought the exact same Vizio for $292 out the door. Pitcure looks great. If it only last 3 years, I'm still ahead of the game. My 70 inch Vizio is going on 8 years without one single problem. Will never buy a high-end t.v. again. The one I bought today has the best pitcure I've seen in a while. Love it. Great review.
100 percent. I used to go all out on tvs, like you said everyone of the expensive ones died fast. My on sale almost bottom tier tv is 5 years old and still great.
@@schinbone0 I too had to learn the hard way. My mom, and niece bought the curved t.v.'s when they came out a few years back, and I followed suit. One by one they all crapped out. Mine went out a month after the manufacturers warranty ran out. Luckily I had bought an extended warranty, and they replaced it with a regular flat screen Samsung. The tech showed me how to turn the backlighting strength down from the 10 setting to keep it running cooler. I did that on the new Samsung they gave me, but to no avail. It still went out within 3 years. That's when I went back to the less expensive Vizio. Which I think have just as good pitcure quality without all the bells and whistles. Mine is till working great after 5 years too. Knock on wood, lol. Never again will I fork out the big bucks.
Funny i have a 65in samsung tv since 2008. I take care of my electronics. I just bought this vizio because i wanted a new tv and i remember when this brand came out i wanted it then but it was VERY expensive 🙃 so yeah walmart rollback @$223😮 lets go!
Hey i got the same tv and i can say that i love gaming with my series s on it. The picture is amazing and it also has variable refresh rate making gaming really smooth at 4k. The one downside is that its not 120hz but thats from a gamers perspective. For a 50 inch tv its badass for bedroom and living room.
How does the Mandalorian actually look on this tv. because I have ONN tv and it might as well be off trying to watch the Mandalorian because scenes are so dark can't see anything.
Need to know if yours is the V series K01 or J01. K has Bluetooth and you can use your headphones! Let me know as im looking to buy asap. Cheers and thanks.
I completely agree with you that it's annoying when you have to type on TH-cam. The voice command really makes a huge difference. Apple tv is superb when it comes to that stuff. I never have to type in anything!
I had Samsung tv's for years and i heard good things about Vizio ,Samsung,Sony, i need a new tv my last one was a smart tv.Question to anyone who has this exact same tv is is reliable and is it good for gaming please and thank you.
I've been very pleased with it so far and it's been a few months! No problems or hiccups! I will not say it's perfect BUT it's definitely better than the average!
@@EpicTechVR thanks. one more question tho, this tv is for my mom and she says she doesnt want internet hooked up to it, she just wants to watch antenna and dvds that can all be done with the internet on it disabled right

@@EpicTechVRok so if it really has the HDMI 2.1 inputs have you tested it for gaming or with a dvd player using a 2.1 HDMI cable? I would assume yes as long as you're planning to only do local stuff instead of internet apps like Netflix/Hulu/TH-cam, I'm not entirely sure though so don't quote me!
I intend on getting this TV - 55in versions tho. I have TCL 4 Series 4k 65in currently. Good unboxing - I hate the vizio OS tho...but on all the cons for the V-Series it has more Pros that make me want it - like Dolby Vision at a affordable price.
Honestly it works pretty good! It has AMD Freesync to help keep your frames in line and the picture has the right amount of pop in the color department! Amazing TV for the 268$ price tag!
Nice! Do you know if it supports dolby atmos? I have the vizio soundbar, which sounds amazing, but I haven't heart the dolby atmos part of it yet. Debating on a new TV. Thanks for any answers!
@@lauracorbett4577 generally when it comes to tvs the 50 inches are extremely cheaper than the 55 inches because everyone likes to tell their friends they have a 55/65 inch, the 5 at the end of the TV size just sounds better for marketing so it sells more so they know they can charge more.

Does anyone know if it plays video files like MP4, AVI, MKV, etc... like the LG TVs?
Can you please make a video about how to set up timer on the tv I have same tv but I can’t figure out how to set a daily timer.

I wish I ended up getting this TV. Instead I got one of the Amazon Fire TV's. Which aren't bad, but I feel like Vizio TV's look better for the price!
