My Sony just arrived yesterday in pairs, black & grey. Bought it because of the built in mic. I just use 3rd party equaliser to pump up the volume if I want it to be louder. Just don't full blast the volume if u don't want to damage the speaker. Stock pair stereo is loud enough for family members watching TV in the living room to come to my bedroom to check where the sound is coming from. Amazing sound. Loves it. I also use Sony app for it. Sony Music Center
To me, the best sounding ones were the Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 and the Marshall Willen 2 (which surprised me a bit, LOL). And I've mentioned it before that I actually prefer the understated looks of the Micro 2 as opposed to the "snatch it off my bike when I'm not looking" features of some of the other BT speakers featured here. As for the Miniroll, it was louder, but the Micro 2 and Willen sounded better. Adjust them to be around the same volume and you should be able to hear the difference in the bass response.
Just going off sound, here is how I would rank these: 1. Marshall (best sounding speaker in this list, best bass, price is steep though) 2. Tribit (arguably the best value speaker here, sounds terrific) 3. UE (very decent, could've been cheaper by $10) 4. Klipsch (good but expensive for what you get) 5. JBL Go 4 (decent for the price) 6. Bose (good sound but old, definitely skip) 7. Soundcore (mediocre sounding) 8. JBL Clip 5 (sounds harsh) 9. Sony (sound seems like its coming from another room) 10. Skullcandy (sounds terrible) The Klipsch, Tribit and Marshall sounded the most clean IMO, followed by the UE. The Go 4 is just a tad worse version of the Marhsall, which isn't to say that its bad. The clip 5 is loud but lacks bass and the sound signature is off putting. The soundcore is meh, neither bad nor good, non offensive. Avoid the Sony, Skullcandy for their sound quality but skip the Bose because of its age (still sounds decent though).
@1carusGG the only thing I'd like to add to your excellent list - the marshall in person didn't sound quite as good as it did in the recording. But I agree that in the recording I liked it too!
regarding the sony, of course it's gonna sound like from another room when it's the only one NOT POINTING TO THE MIC. i have one of its predecessors and the 360 degree sound is actually the best feature
Man I really enjoy viewing all your videos. Especially the dancing. You must be a fun guy. I think papa gets the credit. He seems fun too. Have a good one Mr. Pops!!! 😊
Great vid. As in prior vid’s, I’m standing by my comments and glad you agree Tribit Micro 2 is at the top. For the price it can’t be beat. You should also reference when there are apps that allow EQ customization as the Tribit Micro 2 has it and it sounds amazing with the Music EQ from Tribit. TWS makes it a winning pair. Tribit always has sales and the Micro 2 can go as low as $40 each. The link above has it way overpriced (perhaps an error.)
That was a nice test of these micro speakers. I like the style of the Miniroll. One question: would you perhaps test a Devialet Mania speaker? Or have you heard that before? I would like to be interested in your opinion what you think of the speaker.
It's a really great sounding speaker...4 full range speakers on top firing 360 degrees two woofers front and back my only complaint is very short battery life Definitely room filling sound.maybe 5-6 ish hr. battery life....I use mine everyday especially with a projector, movies and music videos....and of course danny pops videos on a 150 inch screen....I'm thinking 🤔 of getting the klipsch austin....just because its where I live😅...but 800 dollars😢....
Love the way you did the sound comparison. It is the best. Definately requiring so much more work & time to do the video editing. Your conclusion is also accurate. Nice job Danny.
The bluetooth speaker rabbit trail led me to looking around bluetooth amps and passive bookshelf speakers. For a fraction of the cost you end up with a much better bookshelf bluetooth speaker. This concept could give your channel a huge array of new items to cover. It seems to be the growing trend.
Lately I've also purchased with my own money 5 micro speakers, all $25 or less, in hopes find the best bang for buck. •Tronsmart Mirtune H1 •Soundcore Select 4 Go •Notabrick Ki •Tozo PE1 •Comiso C16 Of them all, I like the Tronsmart Mirtune H1 and Soundcore Select 4 Go the best. They play loud with no perceivable distortion. Music is textured, dynamic, clean, and full bodied compared to the rest. Battery life is impressive also. But definitely use their apps to customize the eq. It makes a mammoth difference. The Tronsmart wins overall though because the build quality is better, the carabiner is super practical, and it's slightly smaller. I just discovered that unfortunately for the Soundcore, it vibrates and scoots, making it susceptible to falling off of a table. That's a bummer.
great review! I own most of these and agree mostly about the sound qualities (personally don't like the miniroll as much). I would also give an award to the go 4 for being the most portable, it is the lightest and smallest of the bunch even though these are all pretty small and light. Something to keep in mind if you're watching your gear weight if you travel! You could even bring two jblgo4s and it'd only be 20 grams heavier than bringing one marshall willen
Such a GREAT review man!!! Thank you so much 🙂 Just bought 2 of the [Anker] Soundcore Select 4 Go from AliExpress at a 15$ a piece (I`m from Israel). Can`t beat that price... Again, thank you so much for this meta-review, You're adorable and funny!!!
Hey Danny. Just bought Woburn III based on your videos on it. A question, since you said you used it as your main speaker for podcasts and stuff - what is the eq setting you use - the default base 5 and treble 5, or something different? Cheers!
@Day9-.tv.- I use mid settings on the EQ. It's more dependent on the quality of the podcast really. This American life uses different mics than pod save America and audio books all differ. It's to your preference no right or wrong.
Absolutely I will recommend you to try out some Xiaomi speakers, the new compact and outdoors speakers, fairly affordable, and very powerful, Would love to see you review them.
I own it, and it's a great value. I love the Tronsmart's build quality, app support, mic. for phone calls, super handy carabiner, battery life, that it plays loud and voices are clear. Music is also very good with full body and resonance. I also like my Soundcore Select 4 Go, but unfortunately it vibrates and scoots, making it susceptible to falling off of a table. And that's a real bummer.
Great video the mini roll is awesome love it a bit pricey but great the Tribit and Bose need to upgrade already the Sony is nice but need to make it 10 watts like the others love SONY products the soundcore is awesome many colors and great price.
I'm curious, have you ever tried a Bumpboxx speaker? I have a "Retro Pager" speaker from them and it's always a great choice for me at work cause I can just clip it on my pocket
I'm curious, did you customize the EQ in the app for the Soundcore Select 4 Go? It makes a mammoth difference. Otherwise it'll sound mediocre with any of the preset EQs. I use a smiley face. 🙂 It's the best bang for buck for sure. I paid $23. Heck, I'm going to buy a 2nd, pair them in tws, and they will blow away any one of the others for still less money.
@@DannyPops It's doing a disservice to the speakers and us to not have them sound their best. It's like reviewing several pairs of athletic shoes, and for fairness, keeping their laces really loose while running. You didn't even tell us which speakers have app EQs. You should've adjusted each app's EQ and let us know how they sounded before and after tweaking them to your liking. Yeah that's more work, but If you want to do a review that's worth any merit, you got to do it. Unfortunately this review has been almost entirely meaningless, not to mention misleading, thanks to that lack of due diligence. Honestly, if you really want to do it right, just shoot another review with the same speakers all EQ'd ( those that can) and call it a part 2. I guarantee you it will get tons of hits. Thanks.
@markwexy1621 thanks for the feedback! I'll see what I can do in the future to work towards that. I'm sorry you didn't find much merit in this, but also you are more than welcome to watch reviewers like Alan Ross who dive deeper.
@markwexy1621 haha I know what you mean. Also these channels are literally just people who enjoy audio and TH-cam, and the small ad revenue as a reward. I'll see what I can do in the future for EQ but it's gets real gray for me after a certain level. I do my best with my full time job and this as a side hobby. Thanks for the feedback and being here.
So we're pushing the UE miniroll this month huh. I have all of them the UE does not compare in features or sound(exept maybe the sony and bose) . It does look good though
It's all subjective! But I like the UE signature sound and my first time having it in the round up. Remember the hyperboom was also a stellar product from them years ago.
Maybe slightly off topic but your house looks very cozy 😁
Brilliant comparison I'll take the mini roll for the best sounding 😊
I have two Tribit Stormbox Micro 2.
One blue and the other red.
When I pair them in stereo mode,
they just sound phenomenal.
💙❤️
Agreed. Same with Tribit Flow and Go. My fav brand for TWS pairs.
Micro 2 is the winner among them all! Soundwise, pricewise and portability!

It's surprising that CLIP 5 sounds worse than GO 4. Tribit look isn't for me though sounds amazing but delicate speaker. Bought Go 4 for $35
@@clickbaitpro Delicate speaker?
@@DannyPops Oh wow, I need to hear that Marshall in person someday. I already own a Tribit Micro 2, thus can vouch for the sound quality.

That soundcore is definitely legit, especially with the fully customizable EQ.
Fantastic comparison, exactly what i needed 😊

You should test Klein's 2 speakers. They kick ass

I want to but its EXPENSIVE!!! I am hitting up the company to see if they'd consider sending a sample.

Thanks it is indeed a ton of work to make these.
I have four clip5’s. My favorite mini speaker at the moment.
I got a Fossi amp and Micca Speakers for about 100$. Its like having the Marshall Woburn for a 1/4 of the price.
Really like your content! Even when not interested will watch! Keep up the good work! Thanks!!!

UE mini roll, JBL clip 5 and tribit stormbox micro 2 is the best compact mini speaker, the sound and loudness are dope.
I like the Soundcore and the Ultimate Ears. For my sound taste they are the best sounding and have a good pricing.
I would get the Tribit, that sounded great
Nice review! Thanks!😊

In the soundtest I thought the Marshall actually sounded the best. It sounded more open with better dynamics, especially down low.

Clip 5✅
Great comparo.👍
Soundcore select go 4 sonido atunomia 👍
You didn’t mention anything about the bass of the speakers, not like they have much of it anyway but would be nice to hear your thoughts on it still
@rejoicejuice_5559 just listen to the audio part!
I think the klipsch, tribit, and miniroll had the best bass presence.

Tribit and marshall are best❤
I'm confused between 2 speakers marshal willen 1(70 pounds) vs Bose SoundLink flex 2 (125 pounds)
that tribit was pushing way above its class
What is that little screen!
It's a divoom ditto!
Bro please try Edifier D32 once. . . Please. . .
Love from India@DannyPops
tribit for me is the best choice
Need one with FM radio
Where Is the LG xboom xg2t ?
Marshall
Klipsch
Tribit
Sony
Xiaomi sound pocket?
Soundcore SRP here only $20 😅. And you can get more discount from e-commerce $3 off
Soundcore glow mini join the group😅
For me the WiLLEN 2 and Tribit is the best. JBL’s and the UE simply is some of the worst for the price.
this guy really likes his bike lol
It's my dads bike haha
Xiaomi Sound Pocket is a good choice at a very cheap price
UE wonderboom 4♥
JBL CLIP 5 The Best
Sorry but I'm laughing at myself why I'm watching this video 😂😂😂😂
i only i live in the west, I'd buy only in your links, too bad am not
Bro actually skullcandy brought their new speaker
Klipsch
