So the JBL Xtreme 4 has some very big upgrades to it like a swappable battery, better sound and Auracast. And in general, this is a super portable and loud speaker thats great to take to the beach or park with you. However, the JBL Xtreme 4 is a little pricy especially when you compare it to either the Soundcore Boom 2 and especially the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus which both give you a very big bang for your buck. Either way, if you’re thinking about picking up the JBL Xtreme 4 or if you’re thinking about going with either the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus or even the Soundcore Boom 2… lets see which one is right for you.

i have a question, if i eq the xtreme 4 for more bass in the app
does it match the boom 2 in warmness or lower range ?
or in other words...does it improve the bass that much?

Hi. Which is better interms of sound quality and comfortability, SONY WH CH-720N or JBL TUNE 770NC?
I just bought the extreme 4 resealed for 200$ and 320 for 500$ 2 months ago, the best feature is that now i have 2 battery's for the one i carry with me and auracast that i can connect them together , even my clip5😊. Oh and the 320 , i keep it only pluged in without the battery inside.

Soundcore Boom 2 Plus have way much better sound like extreme 4 if you adjust the equalizer in his app. Not to talk about that i buy it with 171 euro. Extreme 4 its more than 300 euro and half of bass and loudness.Outside the Boom 2 Plus louder then a Boombox 3.
I would go with the Boom 2 Plus, although it still has problems. The Xtreme 4 isn't that much of an upgrade sound-wise from the 3, which sounds pretty weak in comparison to the Boom 2 Plus, but it does have the benefits of being a premium speaker. I don't have the Boom 2 yet, but what I do know is that two of them blow away the Xtreme 4 in custom EQ. By the way, I have no idea how you estimated the battery life on the Boom 2 Plus to be around 6 hours. I was able to get 3 hours and 13 minutes with the volume set between 70% and 86% and 1 hour and 48 minutes at maximum volume with custom EQ and the light brightness set to max.
JBL speakers are great!… but not for the price. I got at W-King X20 AND a Sony ULT Field 1 for the price of the JBl Extreme 4.

😂😂😂same ol' same ol'. The JBL might be better as it has a full IP rating compared to only water resistance on the other 2. Would come in handy at the beach as you know, sand is usually at the beach...
For the price of the JBL Extream 4 you could get the JBL partybox 120 it has removable battery and its supported by auracast i personally dont like the Extream 4 the weird bump in the bottom its just not worth for the price for those JBL fanboys don't argue with me this is my opinion and for only 10 more bucks i would get it than the Extream 4 it will get a mile louder much more bass much more complete sound as i would say if you get bigger speaker the sound will get fuller too so i can recommend you the JBL partybox club 120

The extreme lineup is cool, but way too pricey, for close to 400 dollars the box speakers from Sony and Jbl are where I’d put my money.

Jbl has become way too overpriced i recently switched from a xtreme 3 to motion boom plus and it easily outperformed it and the xtreme 4 and i got it for only 100 bucks i will probably never get a jbl speaker again its just not worth for me

The Boom2Plus is a good speaker, but it’s a little overpriced at $249.99. The budget Bluetooth speaker market is very competitive. There are other speakers that’ll outperform it for less. I’m thinking $179.99 - $199.99 would be more appropriate.
As far as sound is concerned, I find that it has a warm sound signature, making it more suitable for indoor listening.
During Amazon Prime day the price is going to come down to 170 something
