Super GT is so successful because he doesn't make mistakes that come from being overly aggressive. The start of this race was brilliant, he bump drafted the car in front of him until he realized the guy lost the tow and only then did he pass.
So many times you watch him just drive without errors and he let's the cards in front make the mistakes until he's on the podium. You can learn a lot from the way he drives. This makes twice as much sense in lower levels because there's even more mistakes. Just focus on driving well not overtaking everyone where the gaps aren't there.

Honestly I use the same mentality when I play fighting games like Tekken and King of Fighters lol. Don't make bold moves that might resujlt in mistakes, wait for your opponents to make the mistakes and then capitalize.
The fuel and tyre strategy element of Gran Turismo is so well implemented. No complications involving pit lane entry and exit speeds means that you can fully concentrate on your racing and strategy. As far as I'm aware, this is unique to GT among racing sims and it's great that those strategic decisions make a real difference in the race results.
I hate that it’s so simplified as I like to maximise my in lap and pit entry and this has won me as well as lost me races. GT7 is too simple in that regard which I understand why it will suit some, but I like having to hit the pit lane limiter upon entry and exit.

It’s kind of insane how much depth there is in GT7 compared to the hopper system is FM7, hopefully FM8 will introduce all of the fuel/tyre and dynamic weather found in GT7 along with rankings etc
Considering how long FM8 is taking to be announced, my hopes are high. Microsoft probably saw that GT7 would be great, so releasing a less than great Forza would kill the franchise.

Hopper races are races you can hop in at any time, sort of similar to the quick match feature like sport mode races in Gran Turismo

GT7 always offline and then pushes updates to nerf money gained. Wow the game so realistic now you have to pay real money to buy cars as a casual

one of the only channels I'm assuming that wont or simply can't mention the fiasco that is GT7 and it's offline dependency. Enjoy this game while you can folks. It is what it is of course and if it wasn't for the fact that I still like to play the GT series for many years past their launch date, I'd have purchased a PS4 for this
I’m so impressed by Super GTs progress since starting GT7. A formidable driver and fast becoming one of the best in the world 👍
While it’s always great to see another Super Gt video, I really hope that all the youtube streamers are going to call out Polyphony on the aggressive push to microtransactions, particularly the unnecessary reduction in rewards for many of the single player races. If it’s not about microtransactions, then what is the point of it? What does it matter to them? The fan base is largely unhappy regarding past the past two days.

Microtransactions aren't the problem. GT7 just simply has a lack of races after the menus are finished. As Kaz said in the latest game news: please focus on GT7 in the long term. They're forcing slow progression when there isn't an acceptable amount of single player content in the first place... Many cars in game aren't even available yet because of the rotation of the used car and legend dealers. These are the issues we need to focus on. We need more races/championships to do, not faster ways of earning money.
@@N7RiZe I get what you’re saying and agree, but I don’t want a faster way of earning credits, I just want the original amount before it was reduced in the patch. The fact they did this stinks. Lots of races had their prize money halved and all the while they and Sony are pushing microtransactions. It’s sickening and fans will quickly tire of being treated like mugs and move on to something else.
It’s beyond annoying but, if you’ve played GT in the past it’s ALWAYS been unbelievably grindy and borderline impossible to own every single car in the game. It’s never been an easy, quick game to pack your garage and trophy case outside of the class A campaign modes. But they definitely have gone a step too far in this game, I’d like to see them scale it back a bit.
Main issue was people doing the same race for day, but saying this there are better ways ti handle this like buffing the other races instead of nerfs

First time ever buying a GT game here. I also got a wheel so I could dive balls deep after watching your videos for a year! I just got my sportsmanship to S ranked. Love the game and love your videos man.
Does the wheel just completely change the game? I'm super casual but considering getting a set up.

When I went from a controller to a wheel it felt like a brand new game. So much more fun
If you’d DR level is low and SR is S I’d suggest lowering it as you’d get really skilled drivers and you wouldn’t be able to progress further through the ranks of DR, I used to the same thing when I started GT Sport but realized this through a forum posted online, just focus on finishing higher than the rank u qualified in as winning races will take some plenty and PLENTY if time and immense patience and dedication, I strayed from scratch so it took me almost half of the year in quarantine (played on and off) to start battling for the podium finishes and winning races, the good thing is you’re already watching the top drivers such as Super GT rn so you’d have a knowledge of racing, unfortunately I had to learn the hard way by trial and error
Will you make a vid on PD's scummy practices? It would be a huge help to the rest of us if you could put them on blast for dropping payouts, making the game always online, the microtransactions, the lack of basic content (IB/IA/S races not being present even though the licenses for them are in-game) etc.
If not maybe update the review so that people that have not yet purchased know what they're getting into?

My thoughts exactly. Let us come together as a community to share our thoughts and ideas to make this a better game for all of us rich and poor. We have enough weapons to choose to change the course of this decent game. Do not let the developers or greedy companies make the decision. We as consumers do not want micro transactions to ruin a successful relationship we have with this game. We can do this for not only our intention but for those customers who are coming to this franchise for the first time.

Man, that Coque Lopez is a speed DEMON! He's not just fast, but he's so consistent, he gains every single lap, it's insaaaaaane!!! Great racing Steve, I watched the stream and it was TONS of fun.

Since Sport the RX Vision has an insane number of itasha skins and some of the best looking ones.
Devs really fucked this one, the always online and long maintenance periods is one thing but, the ridiculously low rewards you get for racing combined with the fact that you can buy in game currency really doesn't sit right with me. There's too many good games out there to spend all day grinding for credits in GT over the small amount of single player content that's in the game currently. I'll probably come back and check it out in the future if they make some changes but this really ain't it Polyphony.
I love how the reset between games has allowed the drivers who really learned from GT Sport to shine on the same level as the pros. Skills are on display, and Super GT is on the map!

On the odd occasion when they did the big oval race on gt sport I would use the alfa 4c gt3 car,the race would be over 10/15 laps but cause the alfa was only 2litre it would fo further before a Pitstop and I cam so close to winning soo many times,its another thing you need to consider sometimes if its a real driving simulator

Nice to watch a driver who's soooo patient. I have a much more aggressive driving style and too often I find myself hitting a wall, spinning, or taking corners too optimistically, braking far too late 😅

The more that people with real influence speak up, there will at the very least be fewer people who end up buying the game without their eyes being wide open to the reality of the game, in particular its economy and the enormous amount of either time of money which must be invested in order to meaningfully progress.
Let's boycott micro transactions with your support we can make them change that feature. Also, if you are frustrated with the offline lack of progress write or tweet the developers about giving us an option to play the game and progress offline. You spend a lot of time and money 💵 you can can change the developers greed to and make this a more affordable and better game for you and your friends. Thank you for your time and choices.
The Daytona 3-lap race is twice as fast as the 1-lap route x race, but now pays equally 22,500 for a clean race. Use the tomahawk road car and you'll get 2 races easy in 5 mins, paying out the original 45k you used to get on the route x race in about the same amount of time.
"Abuse" this now before poly takes that away too.

Took me a while to realize what livery SuperGT is using
There is a rocket that you can see in daytona. Go to the daily race C qualifying time trial, once you pass the finish line it's taking off to your left. You can also see it in the first turn looking straight before you go around the tyre wall

The RX Vision has a lot of Character, great handling, kind of hit hard in the power department by the BOP, and is dangerously tail happy.

Súper GT, try out the Ferrari 458 Italia Gr3 in Daytona. It rotates very good in corners and you can tune it to have exactly the correct HP. Is good on gas too. Lean mode you can drive 8 laps or 5 laps all out. Adjust braking towards the front to save rear tires. It is tail happy though do make sure you’re on the gas when you go though the bus stop. Braking is good too. You’re gonna need $550,000 credits though.
A fuel efficient rotary.. That's a good one.
I thought in race applications they actually we're quite efficient. It's when you try to neuter them for a road car application it doesn't work out. Could be wrong though.

This has got to be one of my top 3 tracks for GT7 so far.
I havent done any online racing. I love this game tho. I hate that the cars shake from online just like I remember from the way way back with other racing games. I only just saw that in this video though. I dont race online because I know real good racers will tear me up. But it was cool to watch somebody else do it.
I was actually considering trying to get a PS5 when one was finally available, which would have been my first console purchase since the PS2. Specifically for GT7, as Gran Turismo was the only reason I got the Playstation and then Playstation 2.
Then I learned about the microtransaction BS they're engaging in; make the grind incredibly slow so that you can push selling in-game cash for real cash. On top of the $70 price tag.
Screw that. Polyphony/Sony, you've convinced me quite thoroughly to not blow my money on a console and expensive game only to be pushed to do microtransactions.
I respect that. Just about every game is like this now. So it's basically enjoy the online races with whatever car you have and not buy any extra 'credits', or not give them your money at all and not buy the game. I bought the game without much thought into this, but I will not give them another dime, as I BOUGHT the game. Your choice is better, imo.

Question for anyone: why doesn't PD have the new GTD cars or GTLM cars? I've been waiting for the bmw m8, New aston martin vantage, c8 corvette or anything alike. Is it really just licensing?

well GTLM doesn't exist anymore for one thing. the c8.R is a temporary fix to get it to run under GTD rules until the new c8.GT3 comes out.

@ super gt looking at how the Mazda ecelerates it would be just as quick short shifting alot further saving fuel. Its one thing i done with gt3 Astin and corvett ford gt note more torque tends to work well with these sort of motors Evan turbo but it has to have plenty of boost low down mid to high< starts to drop off boost

Just bought the game and its pretty nice 👌 What cars you would recommend in gr4 and gr3 classes for the first cars? Credits are issue so I dont want to make mistakes by buying a bad one.

I don't understand how polyphony can bring in the lastest Audi R8 GT3 which have minor differences to the last car in GT sport, but couldn't bring in the new McLaren 720s GT3 and the 488 GT3 to replace the really old ones
I seen this race live and C.Lopez was the guilty party he did the exact same thing to another driver the race before this one he was driving dirty the hole night that day .......
I smacked gold for all licenses today, absolutely chuffed. Just need to work out which 3 legendary cars need to be purchased for the final trophy and the platinum is achieved!

Went for my 1st daily race as I'd been practicing in multi player with friends trying to race clean and not hit each other before we went near sport mode ...well its full of idiots hit and the penalty do not fit the crime . I'm out all
