My wife got me NMS as a Black Friday gift and I am completely out of my depth with this game. I have no clue what to do and how to get the cool stuff. Your vids are a godsend for absolute noobs like myself.
This game rewards exploration and it's a chill journey! I do recommend following the main quests early on (doesn't mean you won't open up more side quests!)

@@PrinceAlhorian You couldn't pick a better game for this - and there is plenty to do, and not all will be revealed at once! That doesn't mean that there aren't challenges - especially through the some of the expeditions or sentinel hunting. But you can take it at your own pace, so enjoy chillaxing! One of the best things is that Hello Games keep it fresh, so always a reason to come back to it.👍👍
I love your enthusiasm. It was a challenge, and some parts were a lot of fun. I also learned some new things, of course, and now we all know. I'm also sure that some viewers will find some errors, and we will all learn even more out of that.
I specialize in making custom creatures in no man’s sky I don’t use the gene sequencer because it can be unreliable I use other third party software that uses only in game assets so anyone on any platform can use them and share them with others I don’t make creatures using MODs or External Assets and I never charge of anything I do take requests

Imo the egg sequencer should be updated to allow the player to have more transparency and control over what the pet will look like once the egg hatches.
There are around 30 genera in the game, each fauna belongs to one. Fauna within the same genus share the same color scheme, while those from other genera might have similar colours or not.
I made a giant beetle so I can fly around fast. But most of the time it stops rendering and the only thing I see is the tag so I have to re summon it again. 😂
Indeed - there is a point where things become so large that the game fails to render them properly. I would recommend producing an egg and using the egg sequencer to reduce the size just a notch, until you find the largest size that works. Personally, I prefer some of the giant flying worms - they have less of a tendency to hit water and drop you, which many other flying pets do.

are this griffin a bird that never land? like such you can scan in the skyes but can't pet. Idk why they won't just let you pet birds, most of the are so cute and beautiful
Yes, these are exactly this kind of pet that never land. This is why a mod was needed to enable us to have them as pets, but no mod is needed to use them afterwards.

Wish we could bring eggs back from expeditions learned the hard way you couldn’t after I got a creature I liked to lay an egg on the cursed expedition.
Well... In theory you might be able to. Requires proving, so not 100% sure it'll work, but check out this video: th-cam.com/video/loCtgcKt5sc/w-d-xo.html And if you DM me on Discord, I'm willing to try this out with you. Maybe this way the egg can be transferred to another save file. One thing is sure: if you start the expedition in a new save, that gets converted to a regular save in the end, and you get to keep your inventory.
why don't they let you transfer an egg from expedition? wonder that too. Anyway you can just mark a planet where you find wanted pet with base and teleport to it after you finish expedition to pet that animal

I recently completed Omega expedition and had 4 eggs come back with me 😅 don't know if that's a glitch or not, but worked fine. I'm on Switch
