Of the dupe glitch is cheating then so is reloading saves ... Its actually one of the long term negatives about thos game as well as cross play with pc players. Hopefully light no fire jas none of this crap

Derelict freighters are boring and present zero challenge

I believe crashed freighters have a similar drop rate to the abandoned freighters. So about 7% per chest. Or so NMS wiki would have us beleive. There are 6 chests per site. So to get all 78 you would on average need to visit about 185 crash sites. So a lot.

how to go to my earliest planet on same galaxy after u go into couple of black holes, now custom way point wont work, cos it wont go that far anymore, and i have no base point in there also! now how to get the planet address from my visited system discovery list so i can go into portal? and some of the system i never discover any planet inside, i just discover the system only and then i move to another system so how i also go to those system also?

Obviously (to me) cross save is not ready yet for "prime time". I think a better test would not involve using a portal. Just build base and then change to other cross save and see if got that base. Then test from there. Your test about not uploaded seems to have worked.

Very good.. but easiest I find is max guild ..other than glitching cheat…once this done .. spread sheet all space stations you have visited ..list all guilds which give out modules at max guild ranking .. example could be 100 space station visited 10 of which have modules.. each day log in ..visit each station via portal.. 7 days 70 modules without even flying anywhere..this method can be done for all modules free gun ..ship.. etc.. so the more stations you visit the more you get ..

A better method to get crashed ships is by getting a certain mission from an authophage wich tells you to find a crashed ship and scrap it. There is one part of the things you get from schrapping the ship wich you need in your inventory to complete the mission. If you sell that part you will automatically find a new crashed ship.

#3 I'm a few hours passed this point. Accidentally shot up the freighter so it went hostile and I didn't get invited. Does that mean I missed out on free freighter forever ?

I remembered all of these. But I never seem to find them at missions. I’ve found 1 or 2 on Derelict Freighters. I think it is a little too hard to find them. Honestly, I would prefer if they made this part a little easier to find. I don’t like cheating, but I’m getting close to doing the dup cheat.

Frigate expeditions have netted me the most modules, industrial missions are by far the best. I love the Explorer's Guild. At Master level, if they don't have salvage modules, it's usually expansions, or other valuable goodies.

I didn't know the Guilds had control of regions. I was looking for the Explorers and keep finding merchants. Now I know why. Tx!

ADDITIONAL SUGGESTIONS: @mmoon72 added that planetary archives also have guild envoys, and suggested you can find several of them in one system, and they missions renew after every time you leave the system and return! @KarlStevens said that the Merchants guild also gives SFMs, when you reach Exalted - which may be easier for some people to reach, especially if you have loads of salvaged data. @sonalita_ reminds us we can run derelict freighters in our expedition and send them back to the main save when we finish the expedition. And finally, @johnhansen4794 suggested to go to the Anomaly and ask people (if you can text-chat) for SFMs, because the NMS community is simply awesome - which is totally right! 🙂

The problem with industrial missions is that the industrial ships come back trashed. I had eight ladders to climb on one ship today, and repairing industrial frigates is probably my least favorite thing in the game. Frankly the whole frigate repair thing is sadistically designed busy work. WTB, a frigate crew that can stuff 25 platinum in an airlock. It's literally not rocket science. Over 3000 hours logged in this game (I'm disabled and retired) and I just groan when an industrial comes back messed up.

In derelict freighters, I’ve only found them in the large chests. Found up to 3 on one. Once.

In addition to the Explorers Guild, Merchants Guild envoys have them; but you need to be Exalted (highest level) to get them. However I found it much easier to get my merchants to Exalted than I did to get my Explorers to Master (I had a metric crapton of salvage data.)

The guild rep in Archive towers on the planets will have the same items as the one on the station. I was able to map out 9 archives and set up bases to teleport to. Every time I entered the system I could hit all 9 and the station and gather 10 modules. I had all I needed rather quickly.

The impossibility of legitimately getting 78 Salvaged Frigate Modules in one lifetime is the most broken part of NMS especially since the frequency of them being found in cargo pods was dramatically reduced

There is kind of a 10th way - expeditions from main save...Sometimes they have you run derelict freighters or visit crashed freighters. You can also do what you like in terms of shooting cargo pods in space - it won't affect standing on main save but could be tricky unless you've copied over a decently agile ship into the expo. Send any SFMs you pick up back to the main save via the expo terminal on the Anomaly.

You will need 78 SFMs to unlock all freighter recipes.

All of this is good and useful info. Actually, you missed one. ;) 10) With Multiplayer enabled, go to the Anomaly and ask other players if they have spare Frigate Modules. The NMS community is super generous and helpful.

Found this video right after getting that message. I was building small bases for mineral/gas extraction, but know now I can't possibly cover all the resources available with bases on each. This is seriously game breaking imo. Never ever experienced this kind of thing in any other game. VERY pissed off about it. Thanks for sharing this video, lol misery loves company right?

According to Pharaoh of Euclid - who answered me on the Modding Discord, the wonders and records are indeed stored per-save file and not on the account. This means that the reason we saw "Strongest Reality Distortion" appear again is that the save file did not yet register this record when I uploaded it to the cloud!

No man's sky destroyed their game with 16,000 base part limit. I had to go to so many different galaxys and delete my galaxy center Bases. I'm still pissed about it.

I had a ship that had no launch fuel. I swapped the ship out, went to a different location landed and swapped my ship back and it magically had its launch fuel vrefilled
