Pinkbike Ben Cathro’s DH MTB Test Track in Pitlochry, Scotland

- Riding Pinkbike Ben Cathro's home built MTB test track in Pitlochry Scotland. The Walk The Talk track... A DH trail with jumps, berms and rock slab features. Ben Cathro is a famous DH racer and has his own Pinkbike Academy racing team. A few years ago he built his own MTB trail here in Pitlochry and we finally made it along to check it out!
The trail is called Pit DH on Trailforks and runs over a few fireroads with varying sections of jumps, rock slabs, berms and fast flat out sections. As a test track it offers a lot of variety. We rode our full suspension enduro bikes and for us that was an ideal choice for the features. Could probably get away with even less travel too. Cathro built this track over lockdown and it's had a lot of riding since!
There are other mtb trails on this hill in Pitlochry. Some are really steep and others fast and fun. There's plenty of great riding around! Hope you enjoyed this vlog and hit subscribe for more content around Scotland and Europe.

Pitlochry's been on the to-do list since even before Cathro's track was built, really need to make this happen sometime soon! Conditions looked amazing, summer has yet to arrive on the west coast.
Ah it’s amazing. Loads of good trails. Some faster fun ones like these and some proper steep ones too. Bit of everything on that hill! Hopefully you get some sun soon - we were up far north west last week and got some pretty chilly windy rainy weather while it was lovely and sunny everywhere else 😅

Very cool. trails looked in great condition and blessed with sunshine! I especially liked the look the last trail in the video - not sure what is was called though...
Yeah was nice to have these conditions! It ran well. Last trail was really fun but not marked so it;s one of those that you may come across when exploring there. Really well built!

Great vid and looked like prime riding conditions. Good landing spot from that pop, Laura. Almost a one sided argument with that tree 😄. The video with the back story to the Ben Cathro trail is very interesting - threatened legal cases and all sorts. Pity that last trail isn't on TF as it looked cool. Any hints where to look?
Thanks! Yeah we lucked out with the weather and conditions. You’re right, it is a very interesting one! A few vids on it I think. There are a couple of tracks with berms etc like the last one so if you’re riding the main trails you’ll likely come across it!
