- This large rocks belong to Afghanistan. Cutting such sizable rocks entails risks; sometimes we obtain valuable stones, while other times we do not. Although the color of this rock is appealing, it contains internal cracks. Through thorough examination, we have determined that there is potential to extract something valuable from it.
When we meticulously cut into this rock, our emotions fluctuate between happiness and sadness, albeit with a touch of humor. Such is the genuine essence of this business.
We take care not to waste any rough material; instead, we set it aside to craft cabochons, thereby ensuring a return on our investment. Additionally, we were able to obtain four small blue sapphires from it-while they may not be of top quality, they are still satisfactory for end users.
We trust that you found this video enjoyable and gained some valuable insights from it.

This video killed a small piece of my heart. Please, please keep this guy away from stones. Ugh. I need a drink.
Hi John sorry for the late reply "your comments telling that you are a true gem lover ❤️. You know we cut many blue sapphire but this rock was.not.much.good and we left this but after sometime we cut this after.study and got what maximum we can get from it. Did not share.cabs but we make some from this
All he did was make a gorgeous stone that is wearable. There is no way it would be useful as large as it was.
@@kristibbradshaw Feel really happy after see your comment in early morning. you made my day Bradshaw. Thank you for supporting 🙃
the earth is a big rock, are we launching these guys into space or?
It was a poor quality stone to begin with. What was salvaged wasn't worth buying.
That's not a gem cutter that is a gem butcher!😢
Don't worry 😜 we save more than 100 carats from this rock for cabs ☺️
@@Rafique_DiamondNo..you don’t understand…you ruined a beautiful gem…you cut away most of it with a saw 😮. Just admit you are not a professional gem cutter or polisher…inshallah..mayashallah
I know what you are talking about but performing gems always increases heart beat lol . It requires a big heart to watch. We make a few cabs from remaining rough . We aim to not waste but where we have to remove - we do.
We d ok nt know why he chose to cleave it the way he did. We couldn't see what he saw. Anyway, he made it wearable.
@@kristibbradshaw Indeed, this is the rationale behind cutting that surplus rock. These particular stones are ideal for crafting jewelry, especially catering to clients on a budget.
Obviously the comments have never seen a stone done the right way
See the rest of the videos. We are never likely to waste rocks. We care about it but performing a gem is likely we are watching an operate
I would use those Horse hoof trimmers for horseshoeing

What's the reason ypu dont use water on the copper lap?

Approximately
USD 30 to 50 per carats
Color probably Royal Blue ? ❤ 7:27

Beautiful Sapphire. It looked like a beef steak before you cut it. Good gems don't look like good food. I get tricked in that way sometimes.
😊 thank you. Yeah the shape seems like steak lol 😂
cutting mai stone ko bhi heat deya hai jis se stone ki qemat or stone karab hota hai pata nai abi hy stone kam krta bhi hai ya nai
G bhai rough sy pta ni hota kya nikly ga but phr b munasib stone nikaly hai without heat. aur abi es rock ki kafi rough baki hai cabs k lye

💐❤️
That final gem is no where near 168 carats. It's about 3.5
70 to 90% of the raw gem goes when cutting so you might be correct
@@kinkcrimson2024 I have been cutting gems for 51 years. The title led me to believe I would see an enormous sapphire. A little click bait maybe?
Thank you for your comment. While it's true that every stone can have variations in quality, we ensure that only the best roughs are selected for cutting stones. Any remaining rough material is utilized for cabochons, ensuring that nothing goes to waste.

exactly almost 70% rocks lost while cutting gem. moreover we still having remaining rough from this stone for cabs

@@Rafique_Diamond I have a cheap Faceting machine but it’s not a hand piece. I want one
Umm alright I have a few spare pieces... Where you are from
@@Rafique_Diamond us
Who is this amateur ?!... I seriously wonder if he has ever even considered cleaning up his equipment
Hey Mark! We're currently hosting a workshop and need to clean the tools daily. Let me assure you, even cutting a single large rock leaves your machine quite dirty, as you've witnessed in the video
Garbage grade sapphire. And to think some ignorant tourist will end up with it and them bringing trash like that to me and want it set in jewelry. I have been cutting and selling gems for 35 years.
Thank you for your comment. It's important to recognize that not everyone has thousands of dollars to spend on stones. We're confident in the quality of our stones, and we've priced them reasonably for rings so that they are accessible to everyone.
This dude has NO CLUE how to properly cut a gem stone.... what a waste to an amazing gem! SAD!
We made sure not to waste even the smallest parts of this rock. I'd encourage you to check out our other videos as well, where you'll see how we take special care of gems before and during the cutting process
destroyed a nice stone lol he cant even hold a torch right.
This is one can say once he has that stone in hands. We gave it hours to study in detail.
