While I've yet to find a mountain named "Toby" backwards, I have managed to answer several mysteries about the underground! In the real world, can trees grow underground? Why couldn't the monsters dig their way out of their prison? UNDERLAB attempts to answer these questions and more as we discover just how grounded in reality UNDERTALE truly is!

so, this came to me a few days ago:
at the barrier in new home, you can hear the sound of wind- this wind coming in from the barrier would flow through the cavern, eventually reaching hotland, where it would heat-up. this warmth would blow through into waterfall, where it would cause some of the water to evaporate, turning into clouds. these clouds would get blown through into snowdin, where they would freeze, turning into snow. this would cause it to snow, of course. however, the locked door of the ruins would prevent most of the cold from getting through. as such, the ruins would remain a relatively temperate place.

Y'know, i'd wish Undertale was real, but only if everyone's interpretation was different. Multiple characters like Undyne and such, but only YOU could interact with them. Like in the game, as everyone plays differently, you'd get your own different mt ebott from everyone else, if that makes sense.

If Mt Ebbot did exist in real live, it would be somewhere in Europe, more likely in Ireland. I doubt the native americans used longswords and capes (as the human warrior is seen in the intro), and in Ireland there are alot of myths about monsters living underground, and legends about how christians, upon arriving in Ireland, went on a crusade agaist the demon monsters that lived there.

Ruby Rose Yeah, most of it is actually Irish mythology! Alphys is a drake (tiny dragon), Undyne is an Irish mermaid, the royal family are these goat demon angel things. Azriel is the Irish angel of death, and so on.

The Irish "mermaid" is called an Asrai and they are fully humanoid,unlike their handicapped cousins.Also the males are said to be so fish like that that look hideous even to their own women which is why Asrai women try to court human men,or in this case,orange dinosaurs.
***** gaijin goomba has proven many times to not know what he is talking about an djust hastefully put stuff together like matpat does.They are more focused on views than actually taking the time to do proper research.i forgot exactly what goomba said Undyne was,but he was wrong.She is based off the Asrai which are humanoid fish people.Also the Dreemurs are Satyrs and not those fairy things that shapeshift like he said.
I had lots of fun making this one - maybe the underground _could_ be real after all, huh? There's many more comparisons I didn't cover, so if you folks particularly enjoy this, I may make a part two!

I went on Google Maps, and I searched up Mt.Ebott. There is a real life place called MT. Ebott, and It's a hiking Location. There were also photos, The first picture was of the door at the end of the Ruins that leads to Snowdin. The other pictures were Undertale Fan art.

Me: Packing my bags full of anything I could need and sets off for a mountain, then finds an enormous hole.
Me: Screams in delight and jumps.
I wake up, and I set off on my Underground journey. I come up to Flowey, who is sitting in his usual spot, silent. He looks up, and says nothing.
"Aren't you gonna teach me how things work?" I ask.
"You seem like you already know, so just go and leave me alone," he replies sadly.
I walk past him, and bump into Toriel, who was coming to see if anyone fell.
I run ahead of her, to show her I know all the puzzles. She is surprised, and asks me if another fallen human that escaped the underground told me about it. I tell her yes. She tells me she believes I can take care of myself, and we go to her house. She gives me 2 pieces of cinnamon-butterscotch pie, and lets me sleep over, then sends me on my way. I walk through the forest just outside the ruins.
"SANS! I KNOW YOU'RE HERE!" I call out. I continue walking, passing through the bars to big to trap anyone. I glance at the conveniently shaped lamp, and I become more determined to be friends with everyone. I see Sans, asleep at his station. I walk up to him, tap his shoulder, and take a bottle of ketchup from my bag. He looks up groggily.
"Hey kid."
"Hello!" I say, "I got you some ketchup!"
"Ketchup from the surface? Sweet!" He says. He opens the bottle and drinks it.
"What's your name, kid?" He asks.
"(Name here)" I reply.
"Well, (name here), you seem like a nice kid. Wanna meet my bro?" He asks.
"Papyrus? Yes!"
We walk over to where Papyrus is patrolling; he's a Royal Guard now.
"Hey, bro. Got someone I want ya to meet." Says Sans.
"A human! Has the queen seen her yet? She was in the ruins the past couple days." Says Papyrus. I nod.
"I have. She's really nice. She said she was going to stay a few more days, and she hopes that you guys help me out."
"Let's head to our house!" Says Papyrus, "But I do have to report to Undyne, first. She won't come after, don't worry." He adds, noticing my expression.

I just found something out. In the intro of Undertale it shows Chara going into a hole in the SIDE of Mt Ebott, Not the Top. Apparently M. Ebott has a forest, bc the scene had trees in it. If theres trees, that means there could possibly be more, Like in some sort of forest. I looked up Mt. Ebott on Google Earth and it shows a mountain in Schneizlreuth, Germany. The little red marker thing shows up on the SIDE of a mountain, In a FOREST. Judging by the angle we Chara, Theres got to be a forest of how we can see leaves at the top. Right before we see Chara, We see Mt. Ebott surrounded by a forest. Lets not forget when the events of Undertale happened. In the game it says "201X" so that means it could have happened in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, or 2019. Don't forget about the previous seven humans that fell down there too. Also Aplyhs said that the phone Toriel gave us was super old. She even said that there was no texting on it. According to Google, the first text message was sent in 1992, but only on pc. Torriel must have been born somewhere either before or after that time. Early mobile phones didn't have the ability to text so the phone Torriel gave us could have possibly been a Nokia 1011 bc not all of those had texting features or it could have been some sort of modified flip phone. At the end when Asriel asks for your real name, Frisk, he says "You're not actually (Y/N) are you? (Y/N) has been gone from a long time." Meaning Chara really. Also when we see him meet Chara for the first time he is just Asriel, Not Asriel Dremurr nor ASRIEL. He looks about Chara/Frisk's age. That means Chara couldnt have died that long ago. I dont know what else to say but heres my theory

Thinking somewhat deeply 'bout this, some questions came to my mind:
- Is it possible that there are _moar_ than one entrances into the Underground? I mean, if monsters ruled half of Earth back then, it'd take years for _all_ their survivors to enter the Underground using one crummy pit.
- If so, all passages to the Underground are covered by the magic barrier?
- Why did those six humans climb Mount Ebbott the first place? I could surmise that the balerina probably wanted to commit suicide, and the writer needed a nice place of solitude, but what about the rest?
- If the story is set in 201X, how come the authorities (police, military) don't know anything about there is a passage to another world? I mean, it's not like Mount Ebbott is guarded or fenced-off if Frisk could just casually stroll there and fall in.
- If the barrier was set up by human magicians, why did they made it so humans can fall in but can't come out? They were much like "yea, okay, if anyone falls in accidently, let the monsters gobble him up for breakfast"?
