As undyne have a strong soul, she can take some amount of determination. Think about that undyne the undying can take damage, the amalgamates can't even take damage, they were all monsters! Frisk/Chara have a huge amount of determination but he/she can take damage, the amalgamates' determination is strong enough to make them Invincible(of course expert of snowquake's mother, she can take damage but she can heal herself to full HP immediately next round). She could've been young at the time gaster initially became royal scientist and seen that they were hiring assistants further into Gaster's career as RS "Why would they hire Sans but not Papyrus?" If you've played through Snowdin, you'll know that Papyrus is Sans's little brother, so, while Sans was at the age to be an assistant, Papyrus wasn't and by the time he was, they had their group of assistants for that time period and wouldn't be hiring again until Gaster died, and by then, Papyrus was trying to get into the royal guard, so he wasn't interested.

I figured it out with the help of a scene in this the “blood” from sans is all the ketchup that dripped under his coat from a ketchup bottle from grillbys so when you cut him it was the ketchup that got revealed after you cut through his jacket.... I solved it

One more thing: not so long ago some people tried to analyse all of Papyrus' behavior and found that he is, in a way, even more mysteryous than Sans. I'm not kidding, really.
Sans is NOT more powerful than Asriel. He's just smart and cheats around the game, dodging attacks and having that weird poison damage thing. if he was, he wouldn't be immobilized by flowey prior to the fight.
Sans is harder due to no invincibility frames and damage stacking. Adriel's fight is easier since you technically can't die. Flowey X would be harder, but there are invincibility frames and Flowey saves before every attack.
Minelight I just wanted to point out that Sans may not be more powerful than Asriel's god form but he is in fact more powerful than Flowey but was immobilized by him due to being caught off guard and Flowey gaining the human souls. But Sans has defeated Flowey before because in a speech Flowey does he talks about Sans and Papyrus and one thing he says about Sans is that he has caused him more than his share of resets meaning Flowey tried to kill him but ended up failing and giving up entirely.
When i talk about Asriel here i talk about Asriel in his God form, if i wanted to talk about him as a flower i would've said Flowey. Also, you're not more powerful than Sans either, but you end up defeating him after some resets, as could Flowey do.

stat wise sans undeniably is the weakest monster what makes him such a hellish fight in the genocide run is k.r (karmic retribution) and his ability to dodge most attacks.The Sans fight literary is karma for what you have done. Without k.r Sans would do one damage and you'd have all of your iv frames.
3:30 i once tried to be smart by getting dimensional boxes from Alphys and putting the dog in them, but Toby clearly thought someone might do that because if you try to access dimensional boxes with the dog in your inventory a message appears saying "The box is aclog with fur of a dog"
how were the other humans captured if they can't die like you? I never understood that. Why could they capture humans with your soul and determination, if when you die you just go back to when you last saved? You can die while fighting (SPOILERS FOR THE PACIFIST ENDING) Asgore and proceed to what they do, you just reset time until you defeat him. EDIT: I know now that Flowey had the most determination until you came down. Then you could save and override his Determination.
I guess they didn't have as much determination? I've noticed a few things that could be construed as plot holes while making these videos... perhaps I should make an episode on that sometime.
The first appearance of the annoying dog is actually back before the phone call with Toriel. If you're unlucky (or lucky if you're looking for it), your save file can corrupt, meaning you can get the dance/sigh of dog. This can happen as early as the first save point.
i guess ut us just randomly generated, but i didn't do the no mercy nor the true no mercy and never saw a follower. my friend, who was on a no mercy run, said to me that they saw some of the followers without edditing the fun value. guess you could make an poll about the circumstences of a gaster followers player had and then analyse those datas to understand more what could and could not affect those encounters.
i got a question about number 2... what if you dont put down the dog but put maybe one of ur healing or food items? would you get the rare artifact? would another dog come into your inventory take up that space and force you to drop the dog? or will it smell the food and come out of your inventory eat the food and then get the artifact???? please do this for me im so curios because i dont have the game i was only able to watch someone play it
If I recall correctly, the game doesen't let you pick up the legendary artifact even if you do have inventory space. It just tells you "You are carrying too much dog". So yeah, you can only have a single dog in your inventory. Tho what if you enter the room with an already full inventory? *runs away*

@underlab I little tidbit before you make the gaster video People that like to dig around in the game files have turned their attention to a character that was pretty much ignored, a character that is often forgotten even tho he is one of the more prominent characters, a character that with everything else that is going on was forgotten. I am talking about papyrus. A character that is so out of place and has so many facts colliding with each other it is honestly scary at what it can be implying. Just to name a few.(lol, totally not a few) doesnt seem to know how to sleep. He always knows where you are located when you call him. and seems to be able to see what the player sees. Papyrus flies/breaks the laws of physics casually and seemingly on a regular basis Papyrus has such control over his magic in his fight, that he can make his attacks do zero damage because he refuses to kill the human. Papyrus doesn’t seem to realize that Frisk is a kid, despite Frisk wearing a striped shirt, which is a common indicator for childhood in monster society. (is he unfamiliar with common monster culture, for some reason?) He doesnt seem to care that he about to die (like he knows he will come back) He can edit his own stats (He raises his defenses while you are in a geno-run, while offering to spare you no less) he LIES. (see phone calls, particularly when sans is present vs when he is not, or when he agrees that he will take a vacation with undine, but then later states that "I WILL NEVER TAKE A VACATION FOR ANY REASON") He always talks in caps, And his txt moves and jitters almost at a constant bases.(also has weird grammer "MANDATE IT SAFER") Has self loathing issues (see mailbox call) Doesn’t seem to have friends, despite working very hard to get them THIS -> “HOTLAND! I KNOW IT LIKE THE BACK OF MY HAND. WHICH, SINCE I’M ALWAYS WEARING GLOVES… I DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT!” (But he didnt always wear the costume....) The 2 main 4th wall breaking characters (the annoying dog and flowey) take GREAT interest in papyrus. Papyrus's room is ALWAYS silent, even when backtracking at the end of a true pacifist run the music will stop when entering his room.. FORGETTABLE (No npc outside the main cast ever seems to remember him, see undertale QnA) Also, the final fact i will say, and honestly the one that might have the most heavy meaning. During the true pacifist scene when flowey shows up and ties everyone with vines, he ties everyone up with 2 vines (INCLUDING SANS) but he binds papyrus up with FOUR vines, and dont think this is for size reasons, asgore is bigger then all of them, but he has 2. and sans, who flowey himself admits that he could NEVER get passed sans when he fought him, only tied him up with 2 vines. this, coupled with the fact flowey was the only person to know what papyrus's favorite food was in the QnA (not even papyrus knew what it was)......... WHAT OR WHO THE FLYING HECK IS PAPYRUS

@chaotic cutie Alphys could've been an assistant of his who had similar intellect so she was good enough of an assistant to become the new royal scientist when Gaster died, and to answer some questions I know you have, although they could be answered by a minute or two of thought a piece.

Sans is NOT more powerful than Asriel. He's just smart and cheats around the game, dodging attacks and having that weird poison damage thing. if he was, he wouldn't be immobilized by flowey prior to the fight.

Sans is harder due to no invincibility frames and damage stacking. Adriel's fight is easier since you technically can't die.
Flowey X would be harder, but there are invincibility frames and Flowey saves before every attack.
Minelight I just wanted to point out that Sans may not be more powerful than Asriel's god form but he is in fact more powerful than Flowey but was immobilized by him due to being caught off guard and Flowey gaining the human souls. But Sans has defeated Flowey before because in a speech Flowey does he talks about Sans and Papyrus and one thing he says about Sans is that he has caused him more than his share of resets meaning Flowey tried to kill him but ended up failing and giving up entirely.
When i talk about Asriel here i talk about Asriel in his God form, if i wanted to talk about him as a flower i would've said Flowey. Also, you're not more powerful than Sans either, but you end up defeating him after some resets, as could Flowey do.
I'm pretty sure that would make him more powerful m8 after all he is just trying to stall you for as long as possible so you could get bored

how were the other humans captured if they can't die like you? I never understood that. Why could they capture humans with your soul and determination, if when you die you just go back to when you last saved? You can die while fighting (SPOILERS FOR THE PACIFIST ENDING) Asgore and proceed to what they do, you just reset time until you defeat him.
EDIT: I know now that Flowey had the most determination until you came down. Then you could save and override his Determination.
I guess they didn't have as much determination? I've noticed a few things that could be construed as plot holes while making these videos... perhaps I should make an episode on that sometime.

The first appearance of the annoying dog is actually back before the phone call with Toriel. If you're unlucky (or lucky if you're looking for it), your save file can corrupt, meaning you can get the dance/sigh of dog. This can happen as early as the first save point.

i guess ut us just randomly generated, but i didn't do the no mercy nor the true no mercy and never saw a follower. my friend, who was on a no mercy run, said to me that they saw some of the followers without edditing the fun value. guess you could make an poll about the circumstences of a gaster followers player had and then analyse those datas to understand more what could and could not affect those encounters.

If I recall correctly, the game doesen't let you pick up the legendary artifact even if you do have inventory space. It just tells you "You are carrying too much dog".
So yeah, you can only have a single dog in your inventory. Tho what if you enter the room with an already full inventory?

I little tidbit before you make the gaster video
People that like to dig around in the game files have turned their attention to a character that was pretty much ignored, a character that is often forgotten even tho he is one of the more prominent characters, a character that with everything else that is going on was forgotten.
I am talking about papyrus.
A character that is so out of place and has so many facts colliding with each other it is honestly scary at what it can be implying.
Just to name a few.(lol, totally not a few)
doesnt seem to know how to sleep.
He always knows where you are located when you call him. and seems to be able to see what the player sees.
Papyrus flies/breaks the laws of physics casually and seemingly on a regular basis
Papyrus has such control over his magic in his fight, that he can make his attacks do zero damage because he refuses to kill the human.
Papyrus doesn’t seem to realize that Frisk is a kid, despite Frisk wearing a striped shirt, which is a common indicator for childhood in monster society. (is he unfamiliar with common monster culture, for some reason?)
He doesnt seem to care that he about to die (like he knows he will come back)
He can edit his own stats (He raises his defenses while you are in a geno-run, while offering to spare you no less)
he LIES. (see phone calls, particularly when sans is present vs when he is not, or when he agrees that he will take a vacation with undine, but then later states that "I WILL NEVER TAKE A VACATION FOR ANY REASON")
He always talks in caps, And his txt moves and jitters almost at a constant bases.(also has weird grammer "MANDATE IT SAFER")

During the true pacifist scene when flowey shows up and ties everyone with vines, he ties everyone up with 2 vines (INCLUDING SANS) but he binds papyrus up with FOUR vines, and dont think this is for size reasons, asgore is bigger then all of them, but he has 2. and sans, who flowey himself admits that he could NEVER get passed sans when he fought him, only tied him up with 2 vines.
this, coupled with the fact flowey was the only person to know what papyrus's favorite food was in the QnA (not even papyrus knew what it was).........
