Fun fact: W. D. Gaster is likely a combination of two fonts: WingDinGs and Aster. Some have speculated that Gaster only writes in Wingdings (such as on the blueprints and in the lab entry), but speaks with the Aster font.
PROOF MYSTERY MAN IS GASTER When your talk to the gaster follower who claims he has a piece of gaster disappears when you finishing talking to him with the same sound effect as mystery man when you interact with him.
Redacted Talk in wingdings *Their speaking sound is the same as room_gaster's* When you leave you go to the sound test room But what if Mystery man is a Gaster follower :) Also, i dont think if you were... Shattered- (Shoot Redacted looks melted but Mystery man is actually Broken oh shoot)
"beware the man who speaks in hands". What if this not only refers to Gaster, but also to the player sitting behind the screen, using their HANDS to control their character, the player behind the screen literally SPEAKS in hands by controlling the sprite... Just a thought. Also, what if Gaster is really the player? Dum Dum Dum.
Papyrus is the only one who speaks english which is why theres no asterisk, which means gaster speaks in sign language, which is why chara cant translate it for frisk. Also, determination was a massive part of experimentation, along with dust. So, what if Gaster just killed himself for the sake of experimentation? He purposely fell into his creation, perhaps trying to let his dust give it life.
I just wanna say: Maybe the Mystery Man in the Waterfall room isn‘t Gaster, but another person is?Because i think i never heard someone confirming that the guy in the room was Gaster.Maybe he is...i don‘t know...let me think... Temmie?
Yeah, one hour after I wrote this I saw it... Meh, too bad. Gaster would've had a darker turn if he looked like the Gasterblasters and... The DT-extractor
Wait. When you access San's lab, it appears he was working on a time machine, as well as him talking about it. Time traveling messes with space-time, riiight? Is he trying to rescue Gaster..?
If he did that people would be in denial and still make theories. Besides Gaster is a secret, it doesn't need to be explained in the prequel, tho it might be, who knows, maybe its there just to entertain us til the prequel occurs.
Goner kid is a piece of Gaster. The gray npc's say how he fell into his own creation and was SHATTERED across TIME & SPACE. shattered into... pieces. A piece of him must have formed into an entity like monster kid. In the room 272, the peculiar sprite is another piece of Gaster. The goner kid is an ambassador for Gaster's thoughts. I believe if you can find all pieces or encounter every thing that has to do with Gaster, there may be an option to bring him back at some point in the game.
Hage Kobing The pieces where scattered across time and space. Those are example locations of where the pieces might be. So to get all the pieces Frisk would have to travel through time, across space and to other timelines just to find the right place.
When playing Undertale on the city bus, sitting with a friend, I got all Gaster evidence that can be given by the Riverperson. My friend literally screamed at the convenience that I got 'Beware of the man who speaks in hands' on my trip back to the RUINS to pay a final visit to Asriel.
11:54 "Or make a sequel with an answer." Here we are now in 2018, questioning Deltarune and the mysteries behind it. What a prediction. And the fact that Gaster's involved... That makes it a bit more ironic, doesn't it?
Phew! Who knew that someone who doesn't exist could have so much that... well, exists about them? Do you have any thoughts about Gaster? Let me know! Underlab you doing a papyrus theory next? Cause in the end of the video it said flowery not flowey and only papyrus says that in mtt resort in a phone call
Underlab i think gaster is talking to sans and asgore because when you talk to asgore you tell him he killed you however many times you died then it says he nods grimly so yeah
Behind Sans’ house, there is a locked door. If you get into Sans room, and look in what I believe was the dresser. Inside will be a key, and that key is to the locked door behind the house. Inside is what most people have said to be a machine to bring him back that Sans was working on.
great video, I really enjoyed it. Personally I have my theory about gaster's appearance, and what is the void, both just come from one thing: the "smile" audio file. this audio file has one secret that wasn't talked that much about it seems. When run through a spectrogram, forms starts to appear, and when zommed in, it appers like someone... Personnaly, I kinda see a skeleton wearing a jacket, with eyes in the style of Sans' ones. I personnally suppose that this "character" is gaster, and, that it is how he is, stuck in the void of the "smile" file. This brings me to the definition I got from it of "the void". Long story short, the void to me is every and any file or even diskspace on the computer, that isn't of use in the game. It makes sense when you take in account that gaster was shattered accross time and space, or simply emprisoned on the void, and that the figure in the "smile" spectrogram seems very scientist-like, to me. But hey, that's just a theory, and anyone is free of believing what they want on Gaster, it almost seems like the point of Gaster in a way *thinks* . Also, I'm not a native english speaker, so please consider that before noting a spelling mistake for example. On that note, I wish you a great day to you who read the entire thing, congrats. :D
Thetos, don't worry about people having to skip your entire theory, some people who read a ton of literature, are not going to skip this, for they can read faster, and have a slightly larger amount of vocabulary, than a few, or most others as well. For, I also read literature, so I read the whole entire thing in about two minutes, considering how short it would look on a PC (Yes, this would sound like I'm using a phone or another mobile gadget, except portable computers that people literally put on they're lap, other words, a laptop). Aside from the facts about me and other people, you have an interesting theory, I have to be honest with you. The "smile" audio file you talked about had me thinking hours, and every 30 seconds, I would shift to theory after theory, piecing together to make the puzzle more clearer. Though, after doing this, I realized a few or a couple of pieces of the puzzle are still missing, making things more difficult to solve. Looking for the missing pieces, I could not find anymore of it, so the portion of the puzzle will have to do. Well, typing all of this has got me tired. If you read this, then we both have the same levels of egotistical nature within both of us. Have a wonderful day in life, and I will maybe, just maybe, have the chance to talk with you again sometime.
I don’t think Gaster by “accidentally” fell into the core.... knowing his caliber of intelligence he had a plan... I think that Gaster tried to achieve something most people think impossible.... Becoming the one who control time and space.... The one who is in the 9th dimension (string theory)! However Truth and balance shouldn’t be messed with... so his consequence was being erased not just from existence but from time itself.
personally, I think the darker, yet darker entry was made in the void, where Gaster supposedly lies. this would explain the "photon readings negative," and "the shadows cutting deeper" parts. the void would obviously be devoid of light (photon readings negative) and also explain Gaster's feelings of hopelessness (the shadows cutting deeper). However, I can't think of anything for the experiment he talks about. it probably has something to do with the darkness, but how he says it will be very, very interesting is foreboding. finally, I believe that the two people he is asking are also in the void with Gaster. as of who these two could be, I do not know, but one theory I had was the two human mages we say creating the barrier in the game's intro. could the strength of the magic ben too much for the two, ripping them from reality? who knows, maybe one day we'll get an answer.
Perhaps the machine in Sans' lab actually works, and its a doorway between the Underground and the Void, and the 2 people Gaster talks are Sans and Papyrus.
maybe it was when he was falling into the core and he decided to record an entry really quick. he could of been about to die when hw was like "what do you two think like sans was like "papyrus, you want anything?"when hes dying.
Finally someone doesn't say "We know that Gaster fell into the core" because here's the thing. _We don't_. We know that Gaster fell into his own creation, and that he created the Core, and sure, they're both said by the same follower, but couldn't Toby make them say "He fell into the Core"?
Psychic Sandshrew yeah I think that line could mean the strange machine in Sanss lab which I think is a time machine. That's where the theory that Gaster fell into a void theory came from I think. Like he used the time machine and fell into a void "dark darker still" and got scattered.
"No other name does anything like this, so it isn't just some bizarre glitch." That, and the fact that every name is immediately followed in strings.txt by its description. Like "aaron" followed by "Is this name correct? ; )" or "chara" being followed by "The true name." "gaster" is followed by "game_restart", and the game appears to restart the moment that text is loaded (wonder why).
Sigh... Gaster, if it's so rude to talk about you, just stop hiding and just talk to us, jeez. You're listening after all. If you can't speak, do some creepy ghostly stuff, levitate a pen and write us a message or something. No need to be even more introverted than Alphys.
Theory 1: What if WE are gaster? "It's not okay to talk about someone who's listening" Maybe the player is Gaster, a character whome you'll never see in the game. Maybe we are role playing as Gaster, observing a kid, and that's how frisk has the ability to reset... because Gaster(player) might have control over time and space, Theory 2: Also, I had a thought, what if sans and papyrus are inspired by Full Metal Alchemist? Skeletons are obviously from a human body, perhaps left by the previous humans who passed by, what if Sans tried to perform human transmutation (perhaps to bring back gaster), and it affected both sans and papyrus, causing them to have thier souls put into a skeleton. Sans also seems to be having knowledge of quantum physics - a theory that states that we live in a multiverse, teleportation is possible, and moving across time and space. (look up Quantum jumping). ((Sans also loves his brother alot, just like Edward and Alphonse. He's also short, just saying)). OR, What if sans and papyrus lost thier organs due to human ressuruction just like Izumi. Perhaps GASTER could have been the human that got sacrifced. The "god like" power can also be refernced to the Philosopher's stone, there is a need to combine human souls to create a philosopher's stone. In undertale, if a monster gets 7 human souls, they would become godlike.(But they would need hunderds of souls to make that). Robots like mettaton are also made with "metal and magic", and that Mettaton's soul is bound to a metal body I know this theory might sound lame to some, but since you like researching on Undertale so much, why not give it a shot? :)
Meow lover Actually, I think that something in-game kinda debunks Theory 2. One of the Skele-Bros days that they aren't actually made by humans, and are in fact a species of monster.
Alphys wasn't one of the royal scientist when gaster was. We know that because in the secret lab (behind san's house there was a picture of sans and other monsters that we don't know. We know Alphys, so she wasn't in the picture of the royal scientists.
It's funny how the community just assumed that was Gaster's sprite. For all we know, we've never actually SEEN Gaster, let alone the assumptions he's Sans and Papyrus's dad.
that door teleports you through time and space and if gaster shattered that means the (thing) that you see when you enter the gray door is gaster because you can see that his head is cracked
As far as I can tell, you get a random "fun" value when you start the game, meaning you can legitimately find some of these secrets, just only one per playthrough
HOLY SHIT Gaster's experiments have caused a general weakening of the time-space continuum to the point where a human's determined soul can change it. This experiment shattered him and his followers throughout time and space, and created a paralel universe in witch Aphys is the royal scientist and he exist under the form of just a name. This would explain how Goner Boy is there, as he came from a timeline where he did not exist. The only one that know about this is Sans, because he is concious of the timeline changes. Also, that is why he is so lazy, because he was marked by seeing Gaster vanish from the time-space continuum, witch made him not give a duck , knowing he might meet the same fate one day. But this is just a theory. A G A M E T H E O R Y
TheWickedWitch516 That is correct, but since what I remember, only a Gaster follower says anything that can br interpreted as evidence for Gaster being a royal scientist before Alphys and not in an alternate timeline. Also, even if gaster was in the same timeline as Alphys, most of my theory can be true
I believe that Sans and Papyrus ARE Gaster. I’ll explain why: • Gaster’s life was cut short when he fell into the CORE. If you call Papyrus on your way there, he isn’t his usual happy self. Eventually, he’ll go quiet, and will have a sad expression on his face. Not only that, but Papyrus has mentioned he has bad memories of the CORE. • Gaster was shattered *across time and space* , so it’s possible that two pieces of him became Sans and Papyrus. Also, BOTH of them have knowledge about the different timelines, not just Sans. Here are the exact words from Papyrus that proves it: “Is Sans pranking you *across time and space?* I hate it when he does that!” •If you talk to the shopkeeper in Snowdin, she will say that Sans and Papyrus “just appeared” one day.
you FIGURED OUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTwowTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
I think I have it figured out. Sans- a result of an experiment to split/extend Gaster's soul. His incomplete soul explains why Sans' soul breaks off screen Determination Machine- built to help Sans with low HP problem. Tested on others, but after many failures, Alphys stopped trying to perfect it. Sans 1 HP- after an experiment failed and Gaster got lost in time and space, the soul link weakened due to the two being in separate dimensions, causing Sans to lose his grip on the 3rd dimension. You could say that it is because Sans lacks LV, but even at LV1, you start with 20 HP. Sans teleport/ Gaster Blasters/ Reset Immunity- Sans has a weak grip on his dimension, but he can temporarily slip into Gaster's dimension and back into his own, assuming time does not progress in Gaster's dimension without him. Same with the Gaster Blasters. Due to Sans being an extension of Gaster, the Gaster Blasters obey him, and can be called upon from Gaster's dimension. Sans is immune to timeline resets because he can slip into the other dimension before his own is destroyed and recreated. It can be assumed that a true reset/ Chara reset rewrites time for everything that exists, including Gaster's dimension, back to how it was right before frisk fell, which explains why Sans never hints at either special reset after it happens. Papyrus- is an actual skeleton, and, as I assume, was the base for Sans' physical form (though Sans is shorter and 'bigger'). This would explain why Papyrus can't teleport or use Gaster Blasters like Sans, while also explaining why both Papyrus and Sans can use gravity, blue attacks, and manipulate bones. The Machine in Sans' Shed- the same machine that sent Gaster to another dimension. I can assume it is a time machine and Gaster tried to use it, but it failed, returning only the machine, which was broken. Sans hopes to fix it, believing that he could use it to bring Gaster back. What Do You Two Think?- said to Sans and Alphys, just before he stepped into his machine.
Plasma Gaming while that may be true, all other media portray him with low HP, so I thought I'd share my insights, even if Toby just didn't feel like making a high HP for a boss that would die in one hit anyways.
Plasma Gaming while that may be true, all other media portray him with low HP, so I thought I'd share my insights, even if Toby just didn't feel like making a high HP for a boss that would die in one hit anyways.
Considering that one is canonically confirmed to be one-third Shyren's sister, that makes perfect sense...except it doesn't quite, because Shyren's "body" is actually a separate creature, which makes it rather interesting to consider why Lemon Bread is one-third Shyren's sister.
I could be wrong, but could Room 123's friend with the creepy smile be talking about either Flowey stalking us, or the resurrected Chara bound to us, as some interpretations say? That seems just as likely, other than the fact that the rest of the hidden rooms relate to Gaster. I don't know. :/
Soul6 Right. I just couldn't remember if the Chara thing was confirmed in-game or not. I believe the narrator theory, though, as well as the "Chara's only evil if you are" theory, which both relate to Chara being bound to Frisk. So yeah, there's so many theories and interpretations to keep track of, I sometimes forget which parts are confirmed. :p
Hmm, would it be Chara in a non-genocide run though? I feel like that quote and room isn't specific to murdering everyone. Only available when you mess with the code.
Rachel Hardy Chara always follow Frisk in their journey indipendent from the route you choose. They will help Frisk describing all they see(they are the narrator) being neutral for almost all the time.
That doesn’t make any sense. The only time that Chara appears as an entity separate from Frisk is at the end of the genocide route, when they gain enough power to make themselves known. All other times they are simply watching from within Frisk. And considering that Gaster already has a lot of ties to cut/hidden content within Undertale, it’s safe to assume that the smiling person is Gaster.
There is one thing you missed from which we can infer something about the man. He has unused stats. All of them involve the number "6." Strangely, his gold on defeat is -666, meaning that if Frisk were to win in an encounter with him, they would lose money. No other monster in the game does this. Also, his EXP on kill is -6666. Now, Napstablook can take away 1 Execution Point, but at the same time, you don't truly "kill" him. So, considering that gaining EXP and LV in the Undertale universe is considered a bad thing, Gaster would have had to do something really bad for the game to consider killing him to be a good thing. The question is: What on Earth did he do?! Perhaps the Annoying Dog caused the "accident" that erased Gaster, and it was for a very good reason.
what if gaster was originally the final boss of the genocide run? what if sans was originally killed first? maybe sans' encounter could have been when you met him. what if gaster was the "judge" at the end? sans had gaster blasters, maybe gaster originally was going to use them? what if sans had his own blasters? what if the "gaster's theme" you hear at the sound test was an incomplete version of gaster's bossfight theme? what if toby fox removed gaster because he needed to rush the game? what if his experiment that got him lost in "time" and "space" was a time machine and may be the one sans is hiding? since a time machine messes with time and space, it could be possible, and is gaster even related to the skelebros?
it could be because gaster is kinda broken he resets the game only comes occasionally under very specific circumstances like how a game bug would work and did anyone else notice its all sixes? and the mystery man is only around when you put 66 as your fun value AND that his different stats and effects are 6 666 and 6666 which if you add 66 as his fun value need that would even make it perfectly count up adding a six one time
Lei Z Romo Just to clarify, Undertale was heavily inspired by Earthbound, which can be seen in many places through little references throughout the game. That being said, Sans IS NOT Ness! It's a poorly thought out theory. As far as Gaster is related to this, there was a person named W. D. Seeger who was listed in the credits as guitar opening soloist. Since there is no guitar in Earthbound's opening, it later turned out that the name was completely made up as a joke. Again, just to clarify, SANS ISN'T NESS! The two universes are completely separate, but one is heavily inspired by the other.
And theres more: -If you use the phone on the Dark World, you can listen the sound played during entry 17 -Behind a tree on the Dark World theres a Mysterious Man (it isnt shown but you can talk with him) who gives you a Painted Egg, after trying to talk with him again, he will dissapear (you will still have it when you come back to the lightener world). -The soundtrack played while creating your vessel is called "Another Him", also it seems that the voice who is talking to you while creating your vessel is Gaster -At the south of the town there is a bunker and if you get close to it you can hear a strange noise. Pitching it will result in a familiar noise...
"yes your friend...... the one behind you with that creepy smile" i think that is flowey the flower because flowey always watch you whenever you do he always what are you do and he has a creepy smile
There was another reference to Gaster in Deltarune. when you look in your key items in your menu, you see an item "Cell phone". If you try to call someone, it makes this huge glitching noise. At first I thought it was like that because they're underground and there's no connection, but I remembered that you could call normally in Undertale. So I think it was something to do with Gaster.
The wingdings that are shown throughout the vid (Which are all in caps) 2:30 Hello? Is this working? Doesn't this chap know it's rude to talk about someone who's listening? 3:10 Interesting. He's known for so long. 5:58 Something to do with this, perhaps. You've known all along, haven't you. 6:25 Underlab automation v. 3 8:50 Darker (The whole screen i think) 12:39 They must never know the truth Think that's all (and was there a typo at the end where it was supposed to say "flowey" instead of "flowery"?
Well if you call Papyrus in the hallway in MTT Resort, after hanging out with him and Undyne, he will say he was talking with a talking flower he called 'Flowery'. So, I do not think it was a typo.
Isnt the friend with the creepy smile in room 123 Flowey? Ive just replayed the game on switch on a fresh profile and multiple times i found flowey just off screen to the left, burying himself the second i could see him. He's only visible for maybe a second, as he disappears after a few frames. I havent seen anybody else make this assumption but it seems obvious to me. The room may have just been cut from waterfall for time? The girl mentions a friend with a creepy smile that is following you, flowey is following you the whole time, and flowey has a creepy smile
Gerson has been around for a good while, heck he even says he was alive around the time that asgore declared war on humanity, Gerson is clearly really fucking old so its totally possible that the call was for him
The KING of Creepers It never a says they're a girl, the person who says it to you is a girl. The girl then tells you about your "friend" with the creepy smile, never stating which gender they are
did anyone notice both Undertale and Deltarune have a secret room in their game? like the man behind the tree and Gaster's grey door? remember those both rooms have a similar shape and both have something in the middle in them like in Undertale, Gaster in in the middle of his room in Deltarune, the Man behind the tree is in the middle of his room and didnt you notice that Toby Fox was trying to hide the Man Behind the tree's identity because he didnt want any of us to know? mayby its Gaster, maybe not and in Deltarune if you try to use the phone in the Dark World it plays Gaster's Voice even in the secret bunker in the Surface in the middle of the forest plays Gaster's theme slowed down did anyone also ntice there was someone in the Library that looks like a Gaster Follower? and even in Deltarune's game files text "UNUSED_slash_UNUSED_gml" says the following: "Where..." "Where am i..." "Hello...?" "Anyone...?" "Is...is anybody out there...?" "Someone!? Anyone!?" "Can anyone hear me!?" "..." "It's dark." "It's so dark here." "Someone, anyone, if you can hear me..." (The hear in this part was spelled "Here" so i made it "Hear") "Say something..." "please..." mayby this was when a flash back of Gaster when he first entered the void remember, its "Dark" "It's so dark here." and that resembles the "Void" being "Dark" and that is resembles back to Undertale, you fight Monsters and bosses Black and white... Just like Gaster's colors, black and white does this make you think Gaster was in Deltarune this whole time? btw, what do you think Gaster's soul would look like? of course he is a monster so he has a backwards heart but maybe it would be Black and white? Just like him? Or just pure black? let me know when your reply's to this LONG comment
I guess I've always seen Gaster as a meta-joke/commentary on cut content in a video game, except the twist here is that we're imagining it from what the cut character's perspective.

and then he canonises that the character everyone thinks is gaster actualy is someone completely different
😐
😬
If he did that people would be in denial and still make theories. Besides Gaster is a secret, it doesn't need to be explained in the prequel, tho it might be, who knows, maybe its there just to entertain us til the prequel occurs.
He is probably never going to answer the mystery of Gaster. Or make a prequel

What do you two think?
Goner kid is a piece of Gaster. The gray npc's say how he fell into his own creation and was SHATTERED across TIME & SPACE. shattered into... pieces. A piece of him must have formed into an entity like monster kid. In the room 272, the peculiar sprite is another piece of Gaster. The goner kid is an ambassador for Gaster's thoughts. I believe if you can find all pieces or encounter every thing that has to do with Gaster, there may be an option to bring him back at some point in the game.
Super Whisper88
But one of his pieces might be on venus in the year 2056, on in Uranus year 1372 and one in another timeline.
Swedish Attack Helicopter Lol what?
Hage Kobing
The pieces where scattered across time and space. Those are example locations of where the pieces might be. So to get all the pieces Frisk would have to travel through time, across space and to other timelines just to find the right place.
Swedish Attack Helicopter Honestly those examples made me laugh, that's the reason I said "Lol what" referring in a sarcastic way

Personally I have my theory about gaster's appearance, and what is the void, both just come from one thing:
the "smile" audio file.
this audio file has one secret that wasn't talked that much about it seems.
Thank you for the kind words!
Sorru i dont have time to read the entire thing lol
Thetos wow....
Tristan Axton I read the two comments Good Man ;)
I don’t think Gaster by “accidentally” fell into the core.... knowing his caliber of intelligence he had a plan...
Andrew Dalton

Andrew Dalton A awesome theory
Perhaps the machine in Sans' lab actually works, and its a doorway between the Underground and the Void, and the 2 people Gaster talks are Sans and Papyrus.
maybe it was when he was falling into the core and he decided to record an entry really quick. he could of been about to die when hw was like "what do you two think like sans was like "papyrus, you want anything?"when hes dying.

Psychic Sandshrew yeah I think that line could mean the strange machine in Sanss lab which I think is a time machine. That's where the theory that Gaster fell into a void theory came from I think. Like he used the time machine and fell into a void "dark darker still" and got scattered.
Psychic Sandshrew So they might've been a different creation.

Theory 1:
What if
WE are gaster?
"It's not okay to talk about someone who's listening"
Maybe the player is Gaster, a character whome you'll never see in the game.
Maybe we are role playing as Gaster, observing a kid, and that's how frisk has the ability to reset... because Gaster(player) might have control over time and space,
Theory 2:
Also, I had a thought, what if sans and papyrus are inspired by Full Metal Alchemist?
Robots like mettaton are also made with "metal and magic", and that Mettaton's soul is bound to a metal body
I know this theory might sound lame to some, but since you like researching on Undertale so much, why not give it a shot? :)
Amazing theory. So, when are you gonna work with MatPat?
First: Ed would kill you if he read your comment.
Second: Mettaton is actually a ghost inside a robot.

I really wish there would be a sequel to this masterpiece of a game called Undertale.
I believe that Sans and Papyrus ARE Gaster. I’ll explain why:
• Gaster’s life was cut short when he fell into the CORE.
Here are the exact words from Papyrus that proves it:
“Is Sans pranking you *across time and space?* I hate it when he does that!”
•If you talk to the shopkeeper in Snowdin, she will say that Sans and Papyrus “just appeared” one day.
Magical Ghost never knew that would happen if you called papyrus there, but you seem to have a pretty solid theory.

Or maybe Gaster is a Butts Cina Pie that fell into the core and start living
The Wingdings text says “THEY WILL NEVER KNOW THE TRUTH”
I think I have it figured out.
Sans- a result of an experiment to split/extend Gaster's soul. His incomplete soul explains why Sans' soul breaks off screen
Determination Machine- built to help Sans with low HP problem.
I can assume it is a time machine and Gaster
tried to use it, but it failed, returning only the machine, which was broken. Sans hopes to fix it, believing that he could use it to bring Gaster back.
What Do You Two Think?- said to Sans and Alphys, just before he stepped into his machine.
I thank anyone who reads all of this

Shyrens body resembles a part of an amalgamate.....the one with teeth
Angel Jimenez lemon bread? Yeah we know
Meme Overlord k then
Considering that one is canonically confirmed to be one-third Shyren's sister, that makes perfect sense...except it doesn't quite, because Shyren's "body" is actually a separate creature, which makes it rather interesting to consider why Lemon Bread is one-third Shyren's sister.
Angel Jimenez you are aware that shyren's body IS part of lemon bread, right?
Angel Jimenez it's the body of shyren, the muscles of aaron, and the face of moldbygg
I could be wrong, but could Room 123's friend with the creepy smile be talking about either Flowey stalking us, or the resurrected Chara bound to us, as some interpretations say? That seems just as likely, other than the fact that the rest of the hidden rooms relate to Gaster. I don't know. :/
It could also refer to Sans. Also Chara is always with Frisk.
Soul6
Right. :p
You're right
it could be Flowey STALKING us
flower humor.
The friend with the creepy smile is Chara. Mystery resolved.
But her smile isn't creepy tho...
Yeah and Gasters Smile ia creepy (for me)
That doesn’t make any sense. The only time that Chara appears as an entity separate from Frisk is at the end of the genocide route, when they gain enough power to make themselves known. All other times they are simply watching from within Frisk. And considering that Gaster already has a lot of ties to cut/hidden content within Undertale, it’s safe to assume that the smiling person is Gaster.
flowey is always following, so i think its him
But Chara's a boy.

Just to clarify, Undertale was heavily inspired by Earthbound, which can be seen in many places through little references throughout the game.

-Behind a tree on the Dark World theres a Mysterious Man (it isnt shown but you can talk with him) who gives you a Painted Egg, after trying to talk with him again, he will dissapear (you will still have it when you come back to the lightener world).

"dark darker yet darker"
me: who turned off the lights?
I did
"Beware of the man who speaks in hands!"
Mute people: 👍 :')
Underlab: Gaster Gaster
Captions: Gaston Gaston
Gaster is Gaston
*Insert the Gaston song from Beauty and the beast but replace Gaston with Gaster
"yes your friend...... the one behind you with that creepy smile" i think that is flowey the flower because flowey always watch you whenever you do he always what are you do and he has a creepy smile
Farras Junadil yeah true, flowey follows you all throughout the game
BUT WHAT IF ITS THE FALLEN HUMAN?
Cause if you review the VHS tapes from the true lab, Asriel says "Chara! Show me your _creepy smile! _"
I say it's Gaster because Flowey is too busy waiting for you to do whatever. And it said after all that Gaster was scattered across space and time.
UUUUUUHHHHHHH
Maybe he's the father of Sans and Papy like in Hand Plates? I dunno. That's just the theory I like to accept.
me too
Finally, someone points out that he looks like Uboa.
I know who gaster is
he is a NPC
NPC has 3 letters

@Gabriel Belter can you play as gaster...EXACTLY
Gaster: I am your *Father*
Sans and papyrus: *NOOOOOOOOOO*
No one's slick as GastER
No one's quick as GastER
No one's neck's as incredibly thick as GastER
That end! "It's best not to talk about some who is listening," scared me a tiny bit. 😂
Is this why the Underlab's light has been flickering? Is it a foreshadow of this episode? xD
Heed this warning of the male-gendered creature who declares using his upper limbs and phalanges...
No go near man with hands talk.
Silverstripes13 verbose vs simplify fight fight fight
You give a fandom that loves mystery's a character who is literally called "Mystery Man", and you get a TON of hilarious animations!
"Don't you know it's rude to talk about someone who's listening"
"doesn't HE know it's rude to interupt conversations!!?!?!"
Gaster: ().()
YAH LEAVE US ALONE (Oh wait you cant)
Another thing worth noting is the unused Gaster tarot card. The "Gaster" character on the card does seem to be the "mysteryman" sprite.
Headset Animations But the cards are fan made
True. And then again, the merchandise isn't canon.
Except for the Burgerpants in the window
The wingdings that are shown throughout the vid (Which are all in caps)
2:30
Hello? Is this working?
Doesn't this chap know it's rude to talk about someone who's listening?
3:10
Interesting. He's known for so long.
5:58
Something to do with this, perhaps.
You've known all along, haven't you.
6:25
Underlab automation v. 3
8:50
Darker (The whole screen i think)
12:39
They must never know the truth
Think that's all (and was there a typo at the end where it was supposed to say "flowey" instead of "flowery"?
Well if you call Papyrus in the hallway in MTT Resort, after hanging out with him and Undyne, he will say he was talking with a talking flower he called 'Flowery'. So, I do not think it was a typo.
Galactic Duperman really?
Galactic Duperman wow! I'll have to try doing that!
3:36 It doesn't make sense for that call to be for Gaster, after all Gaster is clearly dead in that time so why would anyone try to contact him?
Gerson has been around for a good while, heck he even says he was alive around the time that asgore declared war on humanity, Gerson is clearly really fucking old so its totally possible that the call was for him
Marin is best Waifu BUT I`M A GUY, NOT A GIRL--LOL actually that would make a good theory
The river man is going to vanish.
Well, it’s rude to talk about someone who’s listening.
the creepy smile is probably sans. he does kinda stalk and judge you
agreed
Swagiamese Robyn GIRL with the creepy smile
The KING of Creepers It never a says they're a girl, the person who says it to you is a girl. The girl then tells you about your "friend" with the creepy smile, never stating which gender they are
Probably Chara
Ooohhhhh
Gaster's Theme is my second favorite OST from this game, first it Death by Glamour. It's been a while and I still love the mysteries around Gaster...
IN happy town you head to the meat factory and a trouble will ding indicating gaster's presence....
Idk
Well i edited my room id to 264 from 196(the core) and it still places me in the core, wtf undertale?
It might be 265 actually
The person with the "creepy smile" could have been charge giving someone her creepy face.
You mean Chara?
TheJackAttack dude Chara just saw what you said and for spelling there name they might come for u
This is a comment section not a roleplay stream.
Chara not charge. Autocorrect, WHY?
Sans you right wait. Your picture is Horror Sans and you named your self Sans
did anyone notice both Undertale and Deltarune have a secret room in their game?
like the man behind the tree and Gaster's grey door?
remember those both rooms have a similar shape
and both have something in the middle in them
like in Undertale, Gaster in in the middle of his room
in Deltarune, the Man behind the tree is in the middle of his room
and didnt you notice that Toby Fox was trying to hide the Man Behind the tree's identity because he didnt want any of us to know?
mayby its Gaster, maybe not
and in Deltarune if you try to use the phone in the Dark World it plays Gaster's Voice
even in the secret bunker in the Surface in the middle of the forest plays Gaster's theme slowed down
did anyone also ntice there was someone in the Library that looks like a Gaster Follower?
and even in Deltarune's game files text "UNUSED_slash_UNUSED_gml"
says the following:
"Where..."
"Where am i..."
"Hello...?"
"Anyone...?"
"Is...is anybody out there...?"
"Someone!? Anyone!?"
"Can anyone hear me!?"
"..."
"It's dark."
"It's so dark here."
"Someone, anyone, if you can hear me..." (The hear in this part was spelled "Here" so i made it "Hear")
"Say something..."
"please..."
mayby this was when a flash back of Gaster when he first entered the void
remember, its "Dark"
"It's so dark here."
and that resembles the "Void" being "Dark"
and that is resembles back to Undertale, you fight Monsters and bosses Black and white... Just like Gaster's colors, black and white
does this make you think Gaster was in Deltarune this whole time?
btw, what do you think Gaster's soul would look like?
of course he is a monster so he has a backwards heart
but maybe it would be Black and white? Just like him? Or just pure black?
let me know when your reply's to this LONG comment
i hope this comment has so much likes
and i dont care if i talk about someone who is watching and listening :P

What's the wing dings say at 6:00?
Dustale Sans ur name should be dusttale sans
Dustale Sans it translates to "SOMETHING TO WITH THIS, PERHAPS? YOU'VE KNOWN ALL ALONG, HAVEN'T YOU?" That's at least what I got
"Something to do with this, perhaps? You've known all along, haven't you?"
I guess I've always seen Gaster as a meta-joke/commentary on cut content in a video game, except the twist here is that we're imagining it from what the cut character's perspective.
