MSU, UM, and now OSU played Nebraska down to the wire… I don’t think Nebraska should fire frost no matter the final season result. He had his team prepped for each game.

I can't "Thank You!" enough for posting, as Saturday afternoon I had things to do and couldn't watch the game and was just so hoping that you had the time to post! … What an awesome game to watch!
Hell of a game! Just watching other top ranked teams and seeing their fan base no matter how close a game is, is amazing. Being a bama fan I swear is sometimes embarrassing.. always expecting a blow out.
I'm a huge BAMA fan as I can remember watching them play on TV when I was very young; but when I was in high school they came to MASS to play BC at Shaffer stadium (well the first Patriots stadium, LOL, so showing my age now) in an ice storm we sat on the BAMA side and they took us in as friends and we watched one awesome game, over the years afterwards I kept watching and becoming a huge fan of the Crimson Tide ... as even to this day I will watch the whole games ... "Roll-Tide-Roll"!
Fun fact: Nebraska is 3-7 and Ohio state literally gave them their worst loss this season which is 9 points, they played 4 top 10 teams this season Oklahoma, Michigan and Michigan state all beat Nebraska with a combined 13 points while OSU beat them by 9 and had an extremely bad game and fans are panicking and OSU haters are all over the place yet Bama barely beat 4-5 LSU by 6 who was beaten by more against Kentucky and UCLA and Bama barely won and fans say “LSU always plays Bama tough” “great game by LSU” but where’s the great game by Nebraska is Ohio state that hated on that people ignore the truth and throw slag every chance they get 🤔 Bama isn’t making it they suck Cincinnati barely escaped a 3-5 Tulsa team who Ohio state beat by 22 on a bad game, Oregon barely beat Washington none of these teams are even remotely close to Nebraska if Nebraska didn’t have to play like 7 ranked teams and 4 top 10 teams they would easily easily be 6-2 and ranked Nebraska is a great football team with a good coach bottom line OSU win was bad but it was much better then everybody else’s not named Georgia period point blank, they gave Nebraska their biggest loss while Bama Cincy and Oregon barely beat teams they been getting drug all season against trash teams college football is extremely bias towards OSU
I’m a Buckeye fan and I’m not sugar coating it. This was an ugly and lucky win. We beat ourselves so many times and we got lucky because of mistakes by Nebraska and a no call.

Nebraska's biggest kryptonite is a) terrible special teams. Punter is alright, but our field goal kickers have to do better than 50% accuracy. And b) offense sputtering out in the red zone. They can get a drive going down field but once they're within 20 it's like they lose their drive. Defense is the best part of our game by far and the only reason so many of our games were close. Our offense needs to figure out how to play fundamental football.
And their schedule….they would be 7-2 in the PAC-12 or ACC

When your in the red zone you have to score TD,s it’s that simple the total yards Ohio state had was crazy.
Nebraska came to play. They had no business being in a game with such a disparity in overall talent, but they gave it a good shot. Ohio State is overflowing with talent.
The talent gap is closing. If we had a good QB and decent special teams we would've beat OSU and Michigan this year.

Give them something to think about the entire game. You also have Henderson and Teague (more than adequate). Stroud shouldn't have to throw the ball 54 times against Nebraska. Or at least call small dump plays. Henderson just sat in the backfield blocking the whole game.
Stroud needs to stop being reckless, you don’t throw towards 2 defenders on 1 receiver and throw the ball away if under pressure, you have many other downs

I will say though that this many turnovers by OSU is embarrassing and should be addressed.
Not gonna lie this Caleb Williams kid had impressed me more than Stroud. I’m surprised, his offense just looks very talented. Williams looks special.
What we have done the past 2 weeks is not going to be enough if Purdue plays us like they did Michigan State. Stroud has to either be willing to take off and run or throw the ball with authority out of bounds. That indecision when the receivers are covered is going to come back and bite us

The first Nebraska interception wasn't, the player's left foot (toe) was out of bounds before his right thigh made contact with the ground. @4:26 Stroud had Henderson at the top of the frame for a touchdown but didn't go to him.
Nebraska needs a new kicker. Scored would have been tied deep into the 4th quarter. Those were easy kicks as well.
I love the effort from Nebraska. Just a few more years and they'll be here to stay once again. Thankfully this is Martinez last year. O-H!

You ever think that maybe the reason he doesn't see playing time is because he sucks? AM threw 4 INT's last week in a game they should've won against Purdue. Frost has said they stick with the QB that gives them the best chance to win. Doesn't sound too hopeful for Smothers does it?

I support Stroud, however he is really starting to work my nerves by over committing to certain wide receivers. One of his picks he threw to #11 was Completely avoidable if he just threw it to WIDE open Chris Olave who wasn’t even covered. I sense tension

Stroud seems to have some limitation that keeps him from running the ball. He never pulls it down and runs with it. The first Int he threw was in FG rang and a fist down play. He had nobody open to throw to but instead of pulling it down and running for a two or three yard gain and bringing up a second and 7 or 8 he tries to throw a pass that there was almost no chance of completing. Why wont he run with it? We saw him last year on the run for a TD that he can run.

If Stroud can just learn to stop being reckless sometimes, this OSU offense would never score under 30 points in a game. Both of his picks were him forcing the ball instead of just running for a few yards or throwing it away, and he should've played it safe and pulled it down and run on the fumble play, too. If he can straighten that out ASAP, OSU is gonna run the table and make the playoffs for sure. If not... well, who the hell knows.
I want to say if this Nebraska squad is young they will be good next year. They were 1 play away from beating 3 top ten teams. Took MSU to OT. Their record is a poor indicator of their talent.
OSU also had a lot of freshmen playing. This is a rebuilding year, to be honest.

A 5 loss team in the SEC is still leaps and bounds better than nearly anything they have in the Big Ten. OSU would be an average team at best in the SEC.

Martinez needs to make better reads..holds the ball to long..had men out in the flat open alot, sometimes you have to take what the defense gives. Nebraska also needs to utilize their running backs more, stopping running the qb so much. Better play calling could have won this game..to bad.

I don’t care Treveyon Henderson needs to split carries. Miyan Williams is a better runner and has more power better at breaking tackles and getting first downs. Henderson needs to be used in the receiving game. He’s clearly having trouble running the ball.
the issue isn't the Rbs, the issue is teams running odd fronts and overloading the box and Stroud isn't throwing them out of it...

Don't worry, the selection committee is like... Send us a picture of your team and we'll rank them on the "Eye Test" so it doesn't matter how ugly the game was, or if you won or lost, it's about how much interest we can generate in the rest of the season.
Exactly. Alabama struggles and the result is that the committee says, "Wow, Bama gutted out a great win". Any B1G team does the same thing, committee says, "Man, those B1G teams really struggle against decent multi loss teams. It's so obviously SEC biased I don't see the value in the committee nor do I think the playoff should remain as 8 teams. We need a much more objective system to sort out championships every year.
