      Yea IMO Ohio state coaches seem like they where trying to coach in the worst predicaments, well Fleck said he will make OSU coaches coach and I think they gave him a great response and no disrespect to Minnesota cause they are a really good team but OSU coaches made the game close (which I predicted) I had Minnesota putting up 21-28 on us this was very much expected for me, but our coaches needed a challenge so they gave their selfs one, with starting two freshman at Cb and Seyvn Banks sitting out for no reason I think I seen OSU intent right there, we had 12 players out well 13 technically with Palaie Gaoteote (our most talented Lb) still not eligible yet, then on the offensive side we fed Miyan the ball 8 times and he averaged about 10 yards a carry and obviously couldn’t be stopped, I think this just goes to show you how dangerous this OSU team really is, they faced a pretty good team that’ll be ranked, at their house, at 8 pm first game of season and with 12 players out and practically forced CJ to get comfortable, I don’t see to many teams to beat this team when they are at full strength

    • @michaelsizemore5911
      @michaelsizemore5911 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@chazemuney1590 I agree with most of what you said and as a buckeye fan and realist you’re right not too many teams will be able to beat this team when full strength. Cam Brown and Banks were both listed about 7hrs before the game as out, banks is still dealing with the leg injury that’s been nagging him in camp and with Cam I think with the weather and the injury he came off of they were already hesitant.. as much as the defensive secondary looked lost at times guys like ransom and burke looked very good. Miyan needs the ball more as does Trey, 3 totes for him freshman or not is not the way to go. with that OL we should be a run first team anyways and usually always have been. We have a lot of shiny toys but will be much easier to use them with that established run. Teams (even after last night) are going to try and make CJ beat them and if I were a defense I would too. Most of his throws were uncontested and guys were wide open. He has to just take care of the ball and make good decisions

    • @chazemuney1590
      @chazemuney1590 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@michaelsizemore5911 I agree with that and I said that on another comment, CJ is what every other defense is watching they want him to beat them, because he is very talented but looked hesitant and way to nervous, like he’s use to being a backup now that wasn’t expected from me, I thought he’d make a quick transition and your right even the touchdown passes where cause our receivers getting open he has to take care of the rock but he’s hesitance will make him make bad decisions I love the fact our coaches forced him to get comfortable we kept airing it out even if we didn’t think it’ll work and came up with 2 scores cause of it and his interception was his fault but it did bounce of a guys hands still CJ fault cause he was clearly overthrowing guys and playing to nervous but I happen to believe that those are first game jitters I believe he turns it on against Oregon and steals the show there he’ll be the star of that game him and Olave will steal the show but for teams like Indiana, Penn state etc we are gonna have to beat them on the ground, I think we can beat Oregon on the ground to I just happen to know their secondary isn’t as good as their D line or linebackers

Stroud is still a question mark but experience will do him a world of good. The offense may have to carry the defense this year. Or maybe the Gophers are for reaql this year. OSU was a -400 favorite after the strip sack / touchdown .. The odds hardly shifted when Ibrahim went down. Disagree with this, Minnesota ran too much. 5 yards per play isn't getting it done against a team that's generating explosive plays against you. In fact, I'd argue OSU's injuries were more significant.
      - Missing starting Center
      -Missing 2 starting CBS
      -Best DB went down around the time Ibrahim did in Proctor
      Missing two starting CBs is a huge shift and CBs are more important than Rbs IMO.

    Great game! Congrats to OSU on the win.
    My observations of this game conclude that Minnesota is underrated and should be a top 20 team. Both teams have very good offenses but OSU's run defense and secondary coverage is suspect and I'm questioning their depth.
    Minnesota played like a very well coached team that is missing some talent on the corners and at safety.

    Two thoughts: First, D needs to get off the field! But it was probably good for the defense to get all those reps (Minn 75 offensive plays, OSU 48 plays). Second, hopefully OSU offense will be able to grind out scoring drives to keep the defense off the field so they don't wear out. The biggest problem next week might be if Oregon runs off a bunch of long drives and keeps OSU offense off field.

      @@r3_wastaken Nah, it wasn't a dirty hit at all. He was trying to make a big play, and he did. He was not leading with his helmet or the crown of his helmet, especially with no intention to injure a player. The WR lowered his helmet into the defender anyway, causing any kind of tiny contact. I am glad the reff over looked any kind of 'targeting' call, no one deserved to be thrown out the next game for anything... I'm just not sure Kerry Coombs is a good defensive coordinator. Great DB coach, great recruiter, but hasn't shown much as a DC.
