I honestly would have never thought of Lidl when looking at the new club card logo. Though I also would never have thought that Lidl could trademark just the yellow and blue circle. It probably just applies to retail but still haha.

Same, the yellow circle being similar to Lidl never ever crossed my mind until it made the news. I only found out about this after Tesco lost the lawsuit earlier this year

😊 ...ooops, lucky i never put that on a blue tee shirt 😮. Tbh, the tesco clubcard prices are meaningless anyway if all they state is what the price is with a card. It does not state that the product is a good deal. Likewise those dumb "sale" stickers stores put up. Surely everything in the store is for sale rhrouout the year (except perhaps the till and front door).

About 7 within a 5 mile radius and more of the micro versions within that radius. Spoilt for choice perhaps but they are much of a muchness. Some do fresher veg, some do better cuts of meat, some do better bread, some do better luxery stuff. Just one store that covered it all would be easier but the competition does keep them on their feet.

I understand my Lidl have got angry with Tesco for this yellow Circle, I think most of their customers Would see a yellow circle and be confused as to what shop they are in
