ALDI is cheaper for me, in Australia, when comparing full non sale prices. I have the apps for the big 2 supermarkets here and compare weekly specials. I go to ALDI for non sale items. Saying that, I'm going to Costco in Adelaide tomorrow because I'm staying nearby with mum. Costco have the better variety and price for gluten, dairy and peanut free products, especially when compared to my small rural town.

Iv just been shopping, i go each wednesday and every week its the same. And i do use most of the stuff i buy and i dont buy lots of branded stuff.
next wednesday im only buying essentials and i mean it 😅
    Tesco i spent £38
    Iceland £23
    Aldi £90
Lidl £23 < literally dog food and yougart!
I do think prices have hiked but even when you did the price compare from year to year inwas shocked it didnt seem that much of a increase.

Not surprised it was Aldi. The obvious thing is that Aldi doesn't have everything that everyone needs. No grocery store does. So there will be the once or twice a month visits to other stores to buy those things Aldi either doesn't have or that you prefer elsewhere.

I treat myself the same way. We have "no-name no brand" stores but the quality is just not very good and there is very little choice, few items, only the basics. I love grocery stores and seeing the new things they have come up with. I don't buy beef or chicken much, but I do like fish. Hi Claire! I thought chocolate was a once a week necessity! The food prices where I am in ON CA are ridiculous. I mostly don't buy beef at all and hardly ever buy chicken because it hurts to buy 4 chicken breasts for $23.00. We love white beans and rice and eggplant and zucchini thyme casserole with a sprinkle of cheese. We love beans in all their forms except the tinned brown beans in sauce, but chickpeas, and lentils are great. Tinned tuna and lots and lots of broccoli are staples. Wish I had a garden. How is yours doing? PS Your hair looks super!

In Japan I just go were I can. But with a big family we tend to go to Costco as everything is well erm jumbo sized and well Japanese supermarkets well are not . But when we visit family in the UK I do like Waitrose . I know it’s not cheap but god it’s nice . We can’t really get cheese, bacon, ham or baked beans. So we get the typical Japanese groceries but like I have told you the quality of veggies is gold tier as is bakery, meat and fish.
I don’t like adli as they use far too many additives in their food and my 6 year old ended up In the emergency department thanks to allergy reaction to an Aldi pizza last year. And yes I did blast Aldi and asked if they could make food a little less full of junk.

This is interesting, great effort! We don't buy any of the items you buy as no kids or pets but this is exactly the order I expected, Asda and Morrisons are losing ground on the prices, BUT I live neasrest to Morrisons, I tend not to shop at Lidl or Aldi much as I cannot get everything there and have to go elsewhere but we do sometimes shop there as they sell interesting / different stuff from the normal, I like the reward schemes that the bigger shops do like the Nectar scheme and that negates some of the price difference, then some of the bigger shops do the Price Match stuff as well, you can see the difference when you shop somewhere and it is more expensive than usual 🙂 I loooove M&S but only use it when I have vouchers to spend.

Things I would remove: childrens yogurt, one of the fruit items, breadsticks, teddy faces, beans, sweetcorn, ham, sausages. I do something similar when it comes to comparing shopping and am still stuck with sainsburys because generally they seem to work out cheaper for me. There is no aldi near me and I have no idea if they deliver (not on justeat I mean) and travel is a large part of my shops, if i was go weekly to get things (which I would need to do to be able to lug it back home) and I do not cheat and use a taxi that is £4 per week added onto the shop and delivery is £7.50 or something per month (£4 if I can be bothered to do it on the off peak rate). I find the meat is a bit cheaper in sainsburys too. My Aldi is small but there is a larger one in the town next to me. Great spreadsheet! Our prices are alot higher than the UK...about double or triple, in some cases depending on the items purchased. We dont have ocado delivering in Northern Ireland nor do we have aldi. Shocked about asda so will be restricting my visits especially as i have to travel over 30 mins to get to nearest one px

Yeah Asda really surprised me. I thought it was on a par with Sainsbury’s but nope! Xx

Well done, I’m no longer loyal to any supermarket, I don’t drive so if I do a big on line order delivery cost has to be considered, £7.50! no chance, saver slots £1-£3 yes! I’ve had orders off Ocado because I’m as sneaky as the supermarkets, I got offered free delivery for 3 months, and 20% off my first order, then vouchers off my next 4 orders totalling £65 thank you Ocado, no offers now so no purchases, I’m sure they will try it on once I’ve blanked them for a while, I used to use Asda, but noticed they were getting greedy so I’ve been using Tesco and Sainsbury’s and doing quite well out of it, definitely need to play these supermarkets at their own games.

Your hair is awesome loving the purple, However as a non nero typical person the little white bits of cotton on your black halter neck, I found most distracting. Really enjoying your content and would hope to see an Ed again soon Thankyou.

Ah I was so annoyed when I spotted it while editing! I’ve just had to accept that with 2 cats and 2 kids in always covered in something 🤣 glad you’re enjoying! Xx
