Nice to see xbox getting back on it's feet (or at least there is a hope for that), but it's also funny how the guy saying "get an xbox 360", unknowingly recommended the to this day most relevant xbox console. Let's be honest Xbox One was vastly inferior to ps4 becasue of it's library, current generation feels like it didn't even started yet, and 360 is still an amazing console. And i prefer it to ps3 which just struggles way too much with too many games, and wierdly shaped triggers really bother me regarding the gamepad.

Phil spencer didnt do anything either not just because of don mattrick, but because thats where xbox wants to go. Its a dead brand, and i own the most games on the 360 and xbox one. Should have jumped ship at the always online controversy.

I honestly don’t care about Xbox anymore. Xbox peaked at the Xbox 360 era, it was their pinnacle. Everything else from Xbox has been going downhill. They went woke and won’t release a new Banjo Kazooie game. I rather just buy Nintendo games and consoles.

The Xbox one was a good console but the way it was introduced was terrible.

It's crazy how one CEO could completely wreck a product's trajectory. I still remember when sega's CEO at the time of the sega saturn, stopped all production of western sega saturn development of games and distribution and publishing in 1997, a whole almost 2 years before the dreamcast would come out in late 1999. While that console was failing at the time, there was next to nothing to play if you were a sega fan at the time and happened to buy the console and enjoy it. Lackluster presence in such a competitive market can be a silent killer. And this video shows a modern example of such a disaster.

This has nothing to do with the man but with the quality of life. Xbox 360 didnt fucking lag compared to ps3 (MGS4 15 fps cough leaving blood on the tissue). GamePass is the best online service from the 3 ans still it doesnt help to sell consoles.

I wouldn't really call redbubble a victim of print on demand. Print on demand is their business model. And as a company they don't care about artists be it real ones or those posting lazy images. They introduced fees a while back and artists affected by that now can potentially make less than a dollar per sale while the rest goes to redbubble. Plus they apparently have a history of suspending accounts for unexplained reasons. So I think the real affected parties are the artists who are now competing with so while also on selling a platform that doesn't give two shits about them. Plenty of artists nowadays don't even meet the minimum earning requirement to get paid because of artists fees (which seems to affect even the higher quality stores but are very exploitative in general). I see people complaining about it all the time on redit.

All I learned from this summary of 'The Apprentice' is that everything about it, from the concept, to the execution, to even the potrayal of what businesses actually do to create marketing and branding is completely wrong. Why the f*ck does the show even exist? What you have leftover is pointless drama over fake problems that would never occur in a real life situation! Just cancel the stupid show and make something worth all the money and production effort instead of whatever that was

You're wrong that was the best console ever made I love running my cable box thru the unit and still be online and game when friends hop online as before I had to check during ever ad break on TV and that was frigging annoying! I just wish it didnt come with the camera device!

Imo the worst problem wasn't the whole tv thing for one, it was the slow and weak cpu and the os, everything is laggy within the system, even when installed on ssd, while ps4 just feel snappy

As someone who never really got into Xbox, I think 360 only got foothold because PS3 was too expensive and harder to make games for. Playstation exclusive games have always been much better.

The Kia logo is still total trash. It took me months of seeing those new cars on the road to even know it was a Kia, I kept asking around what the new KN car was. And even today when I know that thing is a Kia, in my head I still see the letters KN first and have to think of what it really means.

Sorry but you’re just WRONG about motion controls. The standard Wii remote wasn’t 1:1 accurate but the revision Wii remote plus was and was super accurate. This part of the analysis is very lazy but standard for internet narratives about the Wii. There were tons of CoD players on Wii using the Wii remote and nunchuck that would destroy players using standard controllers (as there were icons showing who was using which type of controller). Gyro is standard for everything except the Xbox to this day. This just comes off as salty revisionist history lol

Also their obsession with hating preowned games caused them to try and implement practices to make gaming far less convenient for gamers. When Sony did the lend a game out skit, X-Box One was never gonna win.

I was a loyal XBox fanboy back in the 360 days. I'll never forget the sheer confusion I felt watching Microsoft destory years of brand reputation in just one press conference with the XBO launch. It really like Microsoft was taking their hardcore gamers for granted, and genuinely believed we'd be too stupid to notice all the BS they were planning on dumping on us for the new generation. And to their surprise many of us switched sides and never looked back, Microsoft has definitely paid severely for that mistake but i do hope Xbox does make a comeback as the console space is in desperate need for real competition.

It's both funny and sad that the new consoles are effectively kneecapping themselves. They're able to play more resource hungry games than ever, but that in turn means that games also take longer to develop. We're almost 4 years into the new generation and I still don't see a reason to upgrade. By comparison, the 360 launched in 2005, by 2009 we had (off the top of my head) Halo 3, Fallout 3, BioShock, GTA IV, Oblivion… Games that by todays standard look like crap, but I think they hold up really well and while they may not have the incredible level of detail some of today's games have, they're a lot more fun. I don't know how much of the blame can be put on Microsoft and Sony, but the race for more powerful consoles certainly encouraged this trend and I don't see it slowing down. Hardware has become irrelevant with the mid-gen upgrades last generation and there's no discernable difference between the PS5 and Series X. The "war" won't be won on the hardware front anymore. It ultimately comes down to games, and while Mattrick did some irreperable damage, Microsoft buying all these studios to do nothing with them is a much, *much* bigger let-down for me. They effectively screwed it up twice now. I won't buy a new console until GTA 6, so at least another year, but I'm really considering to just start fresh at this point.

He worked FOR WHAT COMPANY before? Of course an EA employee is the one responsible for Xbox's downfall. That company is worse than dog sh*t. And yes, I own an Xbox 360, I loved the 360 games but truthfully PlayStation and Nintendo just know their businesses better. The only reason I keep buying Xboxes is Forza. It truly is the best car game out there, and as soon as they make that available on PlayStation I am jumping ship and never looking back.

While I agreed, Don was stupid and didn't understand what was important about gaming and game consoles. But he is not to blame for Xbox X/S miserable position. Phil spencer has shifted Xboxs position from tocusing on console to becoming a platform for games. GamePass while pretry awesome. Had it been exclusive to Xbox console, then it would have moved consoles. But they made it available for PC and now shifted over to being multiplat, and ultimately, GamePass will end up on everything.
