SaigaTenshi hi I am from the year 2055 and I am here to tell you that max has won evo 2053,2054, and 2055, he is the best street fighter 7 player and tekken 9 player in the world, he has also one many samurai showdown tournaments to the point where the other player would forfeit as soon as they saw him so one of his tourneys he never played at all he just won.

Why is this game so entertaining to watch?! I think it’s the most entertaining fighting game for me to watch. I love it lol. So tense
It fun to watch because it's so different. Like you can literally beat someone in 2 moves but it's not a broken 2 moves.
In this game the match is never over until it's over. There no real death combos, vortexes or any other "fuck off, I win" stuff.
It's easy to understand whats going on and the matches go back and forth
Yeah it's the damage for sure. Moves that look powerful actually are and that makes the gameplay look super intense...
Unlike new age fighters with their damage scaling supers and ultras sucking the punch out of moves like nobodies business.
Never know how a match will end in this game... it looks like fun

Hanzo was my main back in the day.
We should all sit down on rocking chairs in some porch somewhere to share drinks and talk about newbies that don't know how to mozu otoshi and how Hanzo's pauldrons looked better in SamSho 2 before they started making them way too huge.
I did love the original pauldron design myself.

Everybody knows who Hanzo is by that time. Hattori Hanzo is a ninja with the most political presence in Japan's history. No need to hide his face.
Bit of trivia for you. Hanzou Hattori was a real person in ancient Japan. He was actually a renowned Samurai of the Tokugawa era, but due to his exceptional ability and the connection of the Hattori famility to the Iga province which was known as a place Ninja families lived, he has often been portrayed as a Ninja, perhaps he was...
So was Yagyū Jubei. And Haohmaru was actually based off of Miyamoto Musashi.

Everything I have to say here comes from experience in Samsho games from V Special and before.
Hanzo is a difficult, but rewarding character to learn. You should consider the strengths of his jumping heavy slash and kick (vs. Windsplitter), standing medium, and crouching medium/quick slash to Bakuen Ryu for pressure. Also, he is one of the strongest character's when disarmed because his punches have deceptively great speed with good range, plus he has all his special moves at his disposal when unarmed. I think it goes without saying that training your opponent is very important because... Learning his mix-ups is vital to confusing and creating the most havoc with this character, which is the foundation of how Hanzo is played. Experienced Ukyo players have always been the greatest challenge for me personally.
Standing Bakuen Ryu (varying speeds) into dash is an excellent setup. Follow that with a slide kick or heavy over-top slash depending on how they block. Spice up that mix up with the running Shrike Drop, or create extra confusion by doing a windsplitter or just empty jumping over them.
The same confusion tactics apply by training your opponent by hitting (or not) with a jump in attack and performing a Shrike Drop.
There's so many things that Hanzo can do.
I'm curious as to whether we can jump-cancel out of a jump or backdash on landing in this new game. It's been a staple of the SamSho games since the first game.

Hanzo has always had the largest movepool in the samsho series. This is due to him being a mix-up character.

@@ishiwishy9197 Oddly enough, they actually took kage bunshin away in this game after he's had it ever since the first SamSho (Galford and Earthquake also had it and promptly lost it in this game). Hopefully they'll add it back in an update.

I’m still learning the ropes of fighting games again. Last one I really got into was Soul Caliber 2. Only dabbled till SamSho dropped. It’s clear everyone wants to play this like more modern fighting games rather than playing the fundamental game. People sure love jumping in too much, including myself. Really like this game though and even just watching it.
Sick matches max!!! Im hype for this game at evo!!! For some reason when i lose in this game it give me the same feeling as pokken did, step1-i get angry, step2- i try not to scream ,step3- i get the salty rematch. Repeat until i win or my oppoenent get tire of destroying me lol always rematch after winning 1 after going on a loosing streak vs the same game
I'm hoping to see all the characters story modes now. Maybe Hanzo will do mysterious ninja stuff in his?

Tell me about it but Genjuro is also a sick character in my viewpoint 'Cause he is so talkative and very noisy when he shows his intrinsic fighting skills in the match. If he shut up his big mouth when having battles, would become a legendary samurai from this game's enthusiasts.

Remember, he also has a move that lets him put out a substitution dummy when he's about to get hit. Can't remember if it's a counter or not, but it's definitely a dodge that leaves a wooden dummy in your place and lets you escape damage.
They made it asian-hard to input in this game, though. It used to be just a quick press of A+C or B+D (or B+C+D in SamSho 1), but in this game you gotta somehow input a _double_ half-circle on top of it. Not impossible, but _oof..._

Hanzo no longer breaking arms during his Rage Izuna drop makes me sad. His kawarimi counter inputs are also bad compared to the likes of SSIV. He's still wicked fun tho.
They also took away his kage bunshin for some reason. Probably out of fear that it would make him too strong with mixups, but he's never been overpowered with it... strong, yes, but not op.

Hanzo Hattori-An *extremely* rare case of a top-tier character who is _actually_ hype and DOESN'T feel like an automatic win.

He's actually around mid tier. This is because his normals outside of standing medium and crouching heavy slash aren't very good.
He also lacks a good anti-air and has short range. Meaning he will lose poking battles and has to rely on his gimmicks for pressure. (Kinda like yoshimitsu from tekken)

@@Despots_Blitz86 As far as I've understood, there is some controversy on how good Hanzo is. Some think he's top tier, some think he's trash, and others put him in the middle. He's a pretty complex character who also happens to lean pretty heavily on mixups and yomi, which always involve playing your opponent as much as playing yourself. It's gonna take a while before there's going to be anything resembling a consensus on how good he is.

I think Wolf would be a good choice with the multiple arts and prosthetic tool. His super could be a mortal draw, he could have a mikiri as a counter, and he could have a lightning reversal stun into a mortal blade execution as his super special. I think it would be a great choice as a guest, and I don't think Miyazaki would be opposed to it.

Hanzo has lot sneak attack. In air, hanzo probably the best, try to make two strike using hanzo need be good.
Tecmo Koei has Hanzo from Samurai Warriors
SNK has Hanzo from Samurai Shodown and World Heroes
Dont forget team ninja has Hanzo from Nioh as well.
Game gets a lot better when people aren't spamming throws.
And yet, you have to exploit his recovery counters. Those are perfect when you get grabbed (like those Genjuro moments)
