Using the weapon flipping tech only drains your bar if you hit with it. That's how it is in every Samurai Shodown game. Not only in rage mode. Jubei can actually apply some decent chip with his by using it several times. Punishable on whiff if the opponent is fast though. In SS5 special, and possibly SS4, Galford had some nasty crossup okizeme with the vertical poppy and the other side teleport slice. Once the opponent expects it, switch teleport sides or do something else, such as plasma brade.
Tbh i know I wouldn't play this game (though it looks promising). I think I speak for everyone when I say the reason I continue to watch your great content isn't just the content itself, but seeing who you are as a person. You seem to be a good sport. Very entertaining. But overall, you care about others and you make it seem fun to play against you.

Is that still possible after all the patches? I can do it after just the medium hit, but not when Jubei combos to special. Seems like 'Log' input needs to be a few frames later now, when Hanzo's hand touches ground, instead of on impact.
In SamSho V Sp it was easier to see that Rage was different for each character. If you played Yunfei you would notice that his Rage just never fills up, or at least it seems like that, but when it's full it takes 60 seconds to end. This changed some tactics for each character, like, Yunfei was great for filling the blue health bar with medidation, as he loaded a lot of Rage and thus his Issen was easier to pull off and did more damage, whereas Enja's Rage fills up so fast you could enter Rage in one or two strikes, but it was gone real quickly too, so he needed better timing and got a harder time filling up his blue life with meditation. Also, this mechanic mirrored the character's personality, with Yunfei being that very old and wise master who just was so in control he never really got into Rage, while Enja is that fire demon who's entire existence is basically based in being enraged. Also, another cool thing about being in Rage is that every character becomes red, except for Basara, that doesn't get red because he's a spirit.
crossup aegis reflector is blockable, you just block (or parry) the opposite direction; its the timing that's tricky. the only true unavoidable damage from aegis is if they parry and you throw them during their parry.
Yo jmcroft, im not sure if you know but its probably a good idea to not combo into dp after a throw because your opponent can rage burst after the 2nd hit, then punish your dp on hit with super

ZeroLifePlus as a jubei I can tell you that most of us probably know better but don’t care sometimes because our opponent might not know or might want to save their burst anyway
yeah jubei Universal overhead is too good, he doesn't advance forward like every other overhead that make the opponent less desirely to punish. Also great job on landing jubei signature counter move in an online match dude, I watched tournament almost every time there a new one and every time I saw Jubei player landed a counter hit I always get hyped since I know how hard it is to pull those out. Hanzo could get a lot of cheeky shadow tele low hit in those match
I didn't watch all of the matches, but the few I did you didn't use jubeis counter. Why not punish his jumping attacks with that? That move can be shred fools

This game has too many mechanics for archetypes to apply like they would in SF5 or Tekken. DBFz is similar to this game in that there are many mechanics at play which reduce the usefulness of archetypes.

I just watched some CEO 2019 Samsho play, and Jubei got his ass handed to him time and time again. Just saying man, I didn’t see many innate advantages that he has over other characters.
Also there is a huge difference in playing a Jubei player that plays when the game first came out compared to a month later when he knows everything about the character and the game mechanics don't be so close-minded in your approach on a character it's strictly a player skill thing
Combos are extremely limited and instead exchange them for high damage normal & special attacks. The game values fundamentals such as neutral, footsies, whiff punishes, etc. more than combos.

I try to avoid doing the DP combo whenever the opponent is below 40% hp or so, since that scales up the damage of Issen. See 19:41

I think if you do light dp it cannot be rage canceled but I could be wrong.
First Samurai Shodown character I ever played. Fast grapplers with projectiles have all the fun. :)

You need to play some of the old school hanzos.. He doesnt need his weapon. But this SS is also slower paced.
