Having to remove the exhaust just to change oil is bad design, however you put it

You don't need to removed the foot pedal for this oil change is easy to removed the rear brake oil cup next to the exhaust .

O-ring set for filter cover cap - needs 2 - one is thick usually orange one is black - what are their part #'s?

I changed my oil exactly as you showed (which agrees with the factory service manual, btw) but after that I get a few drops of oil on the ground every time I ride it. The oil is leaking from the oil filter cover. When I had the shop do it, no leaks. When I do it myself, I get leaks. What could be the cause?

Might need new o-rings for that cover that is inserted after the oil filter.
