Jo Whiley - hits Namecheck jingle instead of News jingle!

For all you jingle anoraks out there: the particular jingle is internally known as ID Wow - and this rendition is officially labelled '2013 00s Pop Sting - Jo Whiley Version'.

Thing is, I really like this Jo Whiley jingle, but she NEVER uses it, except in error haha, use it more Jo, and btw, well mixed and loved the giggle lol

I know she has five ‘Jo Whiley’ sung jingles in the system… when Radio 2 got their new package in 2013, Jo got her own version of the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s Pop jingle. She then got her own custom sung jingle ‘Jo Whiley’ which was made when she started her new evening show in 2018, and another sung jingle ‘Jo and Simon’ when she started on Drive. She used to use them all the time back in 2013-2016ish: but nowadays only tends to use them if she’s covering other shows, like when she covers Ken she’ll use them. But it’s sad that she doesn’t like to use the sung jingles for her own show, I agree they do sound fantastic!

Well I’ve just checked! Turns out she got another sung jingle later on.. a Jo Whiley version of the new ‘Acoustic Pop’ jingle from Wisebuddah. Although I believe she hasn’t actually used that one on air yet! Not even sure if she knows that it exists!
