Seriously, I had a Post Concussion Syndrome, it effects my site to this day. Took a year out of my life! My head hit the concrete. What you have been through is, times ten! In awe of you, a brave, intelligent mind you have there, and it’s on the cusp of creating something incredible on top of your historic and ongoing legacy of helpful, inspirational work! What a man! I salute you. Rest the mind, your going to come back like a whirlwind. It will make you!!!!!!!
I said it on Bo Beats video too. You can sample directly to system RAM, giving you 12mins in mono. Sample using Shift/Function then press the Load key, and then your sample then appears in the next free slot of system RAM. You're not limited to the 60 secs of Looper RAM. Load each drum pad from the system RAM in the drum pad edit screen, choose SMP in the settings and find your new sample. Magic!
Using it non-stop, I've found out more about the MC-707. Firstly there's a software bug that stops you loading most sample drum kits from other projects, not fixed by update 1.20. Second, you can make arpeggio synths by delaying each of the four tone partials by different amounts. This is set within the tone and you don't have to use the same tone for each partial. Third, this also works on drum parts. If you set the clip speed on a drum part to 1-8, then use the delay as above on the hats at 1/16 on the second partial to make them play double, same for one of the snares etc, then you can make a drum pattern that effectively lasts 256 steps rather than 128 max. Fourthly, if you load tones into a drum module rather than drums, then assign knob 3 to course pitch, you can change the pitch of all the tones per step. Value 60 is no change, 61 is up one semitone. By setting the pitch of the steps to follow the bass, you can have 16 simultaneous tones playing in key with the bass, but only using 1 track! Lastly, you can load a looper drum loop, it will automatically fit your tempo, now you can sample it and put it on a drum pad. In theory, you can have 16 drum loops all playing in sync but only using 1 track! Sampling does not use the looper RAM and there's loads of it. Greatly underestimated machine is the MC707 :)
That’s a really cool read man! I haven’t dug that deep but it sounds like there are some more to this machine than what meets the eye! Thanks for the knowledge!
@@AccurateBeats It's Zencore, so to Roland the MC-707 and MC-101 are machines with a future. The updates will make them better and better. All the best.
Dude! I could not be more inspired! You truly are a warrior. You have literally left me with no excuses in getting my TH-cam Channel off the ground. Glad to see you are well. And yes I own the MC-707 and I am glad for the update!
Great demo of the update, thank you. I have been looking for a hardware version of my Maschine that does not require a PC. Did not enjoy Akai Force, crashed so often and severe memory limitations. I was always getting low sample memory warnings. With this update, it looks time to try the 707.
Great video dude. I updated my 707 a few days ago and got distracted with other stuff and forgot to test it out. Seeing this just inspired me to give the new features a proper test.
This sort of chopping up of samples is why I bought the Maschine MK3, after seeing 9th Wonder's Against the Clock. So cool how many units can do this type of chop now.
Hi Accurate, Got some iffy bits in my family as well but it turns out to be ok. Cancer and surgury is some heavy stuff. To talk about it is one thing but to undergo it is another. Good to see you're back and enjoying your stuff.
@@AccurateBeatshello i just bought a New roland mc 707 but I don't know How to change the project while i'm playing the music live to go to the Next song without stopping ? If l am at a party I can't stop the music to change a track.can you help me ?
Finally! This stuff should have been there on launch, and was the main thing that turned me off getting one. Not being able to see subfolders was ridiculous. Having sampling be limited to just being a loop was almost pointless. Still too expensive for me at this stage, but at least it's something I can actually consider now.
I couldn’t agree more, I would’ve loved to see this straight out of the box at launch but... Rather late then never I guess. Hopefully they’ll keep making changes as they receive even more customer feedback. Thank for watching:)
I’m saving my hard earned pennies for an MPC Live but now with this new functionality, the MC-707 looks like it could compete with the MPC Live. Would like to see a MPC Live vs MC-707 video. Which would you recommend?
Mc 707 is also a sampler, but not mainly a sampler.Live is mainly a sampler. If you want a groovebox that can do both synth and sampling mc 707 is great. If you want a sampler that can ...well sample live is the choice.I left drams out of the equation because they both do it great but in different ways.
Great Video! How do you like the MC 707 compared to the MPC One? I'd like to make a new purchase soon and the MPC work flow stands out of course along with the slicing work flow but this has a lot of Roland sounds built into it which is great too.
It's always been able to chop just not automatically like now with the update. Before u just had to drop your sample in the unit then from a drum track load that sample to the pads and then make you ins and outs on each pad. No biggy 👌
Schyst video mannen! :D This has nothing to do with this video but I'd love to get into mixing and I've been looking at the Traktor S2, S3, S4! What Deck are you using? Do you prefer a other brand when coming to DJ-stuff? Thanks for a great video!
Tack! Well... I use the S4 myself but I really think S3 is the way to go if you wanna go for something for Native Instruments as a beginner. It’s user friendly enough to start with but still powerful enough to grow with. I enjoy the hell out of the motorized wheels on the S4 but that’s mainly cool for scratching. S2 or S3 would be more fitting for a beginner. I know Pioneer is a really popular brand among mix dj’s but I’m afraid I’m not the right guy to say anything about pioneer. Good luck!
@@AccurateBeats Thank you so much mate! Would be cool seeing you use the S4 a bit more! Now I'm gonna search for your videos including that deck 😅 Have a nice evening!
This seems cool... but at the same price it seems like the MPC Live is the better buy for sampling purposes. This definitely takes the MC-707 to a new level but seems to cumbersome for now. Still, glad Roland added it but i don't think this is the device for me. I'll stick with my Octatrack lol.
I ended up getting the M-Audio Axiom 25 works decent just trying to get the drum track going with the keyboard. Great piece of equipment brings me back to the old Roland MC 307 days. So far my collection of drum machines have grown in the last 3 years, the Akai Force and the Akai MPC One are gems now to just get me videos going and I can start posting. Thanks for the reply and the how to videos. It is all about the creativity and music.
i searched for an answer and it seems to be only recorded motion data for the parameter it is linked to the knobs. Same like the tr8s after changing the parameter of the knob the midi info goes to the new parameter linked to knob. Would be cool if there will be more motion lanes under the hood. I do this a lot in Maschine. Controlled Modulation is very important for the groove:)
I don't need it but i want it 😩 btw you said youll do a scratching tutorial someday im still waiting 😁 I got a pioneer xdj rx2 and I really want to learn to scratch ✌️

Where's that shirt from?
For each track you have 16 note polyphony?
The limited 128 steps is a non starter for me. The mc909 had 999 measures per pattern and seems like a huge downgrade.
