Bro the fastest car I've ever seen at the races on the bridge in tampa.. srt4.. he raced a bike.. and won and the crazy part is he caught up to the race before him a bunch of civics hatchbacks but they took off like 20 secs before him.. literally passed by me like a fucking jet.. never forget that car that old school light blue with white stripes and them nice red brake calibers ..

Enjoy your channel immensely. Some of your descriptions of how nasty some vehicles are tend to be very spot on. Here are my thoughts. - Nissan VQ motors can definitely rip if tuned properly. They are scariest from the midrange and higher RPMs. - There was an Stage III kit for the SRT4 that could put out 500+ hp direct from Mopar - IPD (Volvo Tuning House) had kits that got some big numbers for those SHOs - Duttweiler had a LOT of tweaks for Grand Nationals, Typhoons, and Syclones. He actually got 1000+ hp out of a Buick V6. - I have seen turbo Civics sporting very scary numbers that would take out a Dodge Demon. - Lexus SC 300s with the 2JZ are nastier than a lot lizard at a truck stop. I saw one ring off consistent 10 second runs.
The 4.3 Chevy v6 is also a really good platform. It’s literally just a 6 cylinder LS. They share a lot of the same parts, put turbo kit on it for 2k and pretty much making 400 whp right there.
97 Blazer here. I'm all stock but it's 260 lb/ft of torque out the gate and not as heavy as people think. It's like 3,400-3,600 pounds. The boys at Roadkill strapped a diesel turbo from a Powerstroke on it and dropped it in a Datsun 240 and it hauled! They did blow it up but it's Roadkill. They build everything like rednecks in a backyard

And if you have an 05 you actually have an I-6 if I'm correct. My neighbor has an 08 and I've done some work on it and it surprised me too that it was a straight 6

The SRT4 did not have torque steer at all. It has equal length cv axles. I owned one that dyno’d 400 hp and 467 lb ft of torque and it had zero torque steer. That may be an issue with the regular neon, not the SRT4 though.
@@uptownsamcv Naw they were reliable. 2nd and 3rd gear synchros would go and possibly grenade the transmission but that because of the amount of torque going thru something designed for a small box truck. As far as catching on fire…hey anything beyond stock you’re responsible for. The problem was most likely the mass market of shitty parts we had from 03-10. These fly by night vendors would come in get a bunch of pre-sales, maybe ship out some parts and then close down shop like it was a Ruff Ryder anthem. There’s some gems out there if you can find them. Even in the junk yard. You probably want to look for DCR (Darryl Cox Racing), Captain Nemo (can’t remember what they changed their name to) and even Modern Performance had some good parts. I would say the holy grail is a Mopar Stage 3 kit. Didn’t make outrageous power but properly running you would have a kick ass daily, auto-x or even track car. Just make sure it doesn’t still have the stock shift knob. I almost knocked out my daughter when it flew off and hit her in the forehead when she was 4 lol
Got a procharge on my cyclone I have a 98 cobra and a 2000 gt so I thought I’d give the 3.7 a chance cause I got it brand new for a good price and don’t regret it at all

Do the SRT magnum. I had one with a cam in it with long tube headers and a tune with the resonator on it and rebadged alot off people though it was a V6 that was missing really bad . When I tear that ass people get mad
Ford Fusion Sports are definitely sleeper cars with nearly 400hp and all wheel drive to start. A good tune and stronger drive train could easily put this car in the 500hp range or more possibly topping high end BMW M Sport models for a cheaper price. Too bad car manufacturers are gonna lose out with these EV powered vehicles and prices average consumers can't really afford to own.
I knew a guy with a Ford Escape who completely built and put twin turbos on his Duratec 30. That thing was a SLEEPER! His transmission was out of something else, but I have no idea what he used.

The Crossfire SRT6 is literally a SLK32 with a bit less power and a different body. Put some injectors, pulleys, cams, intake and a tune on it and you’ll be rolling scat packs all day and night
Fun fact about the speed3 if you take the 2.5 out of a ford fusion same block all acc bolt on you get a more reliable more powerful power plant for a cheaper price than the 2.3
The SHO started the ecoboost train and it doesn't get enough love... none of the others would be here I'd this thing didn't perform well... my only gripe is having it transverse... the 2021+ explorer St is awd but has it facing the standard way. Going to buy one of these too... already have 13 F150 ecoboost and 16 SHO.
@@walk4348 what the cops have isn't the SHO they do have AWD but it's the standard non turbo versions... Plus if you do like he said fuel system and turbos these can put out 600hp and 600lbs. People don't suspect a thing until you barke boost and they hear them turbos. My SHO is still stock but I bought it for this reason. My f150 ecoboost puts down 421hp and 536lbs to the wheels on the stock turbos...

The old shoS where giving vettes a run for their money ,with 5 speed and 4 doors ,grandpa looking cars The Str4 where very underrated car and even then 350z knew what was up when they found one ,just cruising on the hwy ,The k20/k24 combo with build heads ,headers 3 inch exhaust ,and good tune will scream to 9k any day when need it and still get great gas mileage ,or a good Turbo or Supercharge set up, will call some big boys car attention for sure

03 had the torque steer issue which was later fixed in 04-05 with an LSD. Still have my 04 stage3. Fun car

Ford Fusion Sports are definitely sleeper cars with nearly 400hp and all wheel drive to start. A good tune and stronger drive train could easily put this car in the 500hp range or more possibly topping high end BMW M Sport models for a cheaper price. Too bad car manufacturers are gonna lose out with these EV powered vehicles and prices average consumers can't really afford to own.

The Crossfire SRT6 is literally a SLK32 with a bit less power and a different body. Put some injectors, pulleys, cams, intake and a tune on it and you’ll be rolling scat packs all day and night

Fun fact about the speed3 if you take the 2.5 out of a ford fusion same block all acc bolt on you get a more reliable more powerful power plant for a cheaper price than the 2.3

The SHO started the ecoboost train and it doesn't get enough love... none of the others would be here I'd this thing didn't perform well... my only gripe is having it transverse... the 2021+ explorer St is awd but has it facing the standard way. Going to buy one of these too... already have 13 F150 ecoboost and 16 SHO.
A lot of cops have those SHO's. People think they are going to outrun them and get their feelings hurt.
@@walk4348 what the cops have isn't the SHO they do have AWD but it's the standard non turbo versions... Plus if you do like he said fuel system and turbos these can put out 600hp and 600lbs. People don't suspect a thing until you barke boost and they hear them turbos. My SHO is still stock but I bought it for this reason. My f150 ecoboost puts down 421hp and 536lbs to the wheels on the stock turbos...

The Str4 where very underrated car and even then 350z knew what was up when they found one ,just cruising on the hwy ,The k20/k24 combo with build heads ,headers 3 inch exhaust ,and good tune will scream to 9k any day when need it and still get great gas mileage ,or a good Turbo or Supercharge set up, will call some big boys car attention for sure
