Back to your trip last Sunday my youngest son and grandson came to visit in his new Tesla so he picked the route to Lligwy and we had never been down that road. “She” said it made it more exciting 😂😂. What a stunning park up with that colour in the background - Brilliant video - glad the roll makes such a difference I watch yours and others and keep adjusting our van ….neck rolls I love them as tend to get sore throats in the wind ….Jane hates travelling in the back as she says it’s like a rollercoaster 🎢 carol looks like she is being chauffeured maybe a sideline …lobster I have food envy - love shell fish. I am continually amazed at how small the roads you travel appear to be barely enough for one car! I agree with your comment about food and age. Ken, I've found the same filling my NV200 (back-breaking). I've started perching on the edge of the driver's seat and holding filler hose "backwards" into filler cap with right hand and find it saves my back ! Al the best. Pete

We don’t really have a planned route. We just mark places of interest on Google Maps and make a note of travel distances and times between each attraction. Then we decide on the day where to head next depending on the weather and how much driving we want to do that day.

They were called “filthy” chips at that restaurant but the common term is “dirty” chips or fries meaning they are covered in some kind of topping like cheese, etc 🙂
Glad you like Anglesey, we were there for 6 nights at PenLLyn camp site near to the end of the runway where you met up with the other utuber. We watched the Oystercatcher being built as we used to stay in Rhosneigr every year. Love your vids you have a really calming voice.

Thanks Michelle. We bought the campervan in October 2019 and did 2,700 miles the rest of that year. In 2020 we only did 8,254 miles, a lot less than expected due to Covid. Since lockdown ended in April this year we have driven 5,346 miles.

£70 ish in fuel for roughly how many miles? 200, 300 maybe 400 or more? Interested in one of these though I really need to go and see one in person I think to get a proper sense of scale, thanks
We don’t log the mileage between fill ups but I reckon we are averaging over 50 mpg. We do a lot of miles with all the exploring included. Carol might add more info later as she keeps a diary. You absolutely must see one first as they are smaller than it looks. The camera I tend to use inside has a fairly wide angle lense👍
@@LifeistooshortCK hello. It's now gated at the entrance. No vehicles, no campervans, no camping, no fires. £500 fine. I'm not clear on the reason but there are two notions. 1. New government rules surrounding airfields, security. (It is an RAF base) 2. Complaints from locals finally heard and they are protecting the area. The place has been taking a battering for too long. Too many fires creating dead spots everywhere. Piles of nails and metal fragments left over from burning pallets and other waste products. Human waste dumped in the long grass including porta potty dumping. Erosion of the banks and dunes. People taking sand for building and other purposes. Broken glass. Boy racers spinning doughnuts. Motorbikes destroying the dunes. Basically it was nice before the Internet shared it with everybody. It's not the property of motorhome groups to share, as is often the case with many beauty spots now. The hammer has finally come down.
1:40 - do bees actually gather pollen ? I thought that it was the nectar that they were after and the fact that pollen sticks to them and is transferred to other flowers was just a by-product
Had to look that up now you mention it. Apparently they gather pollen and take it back to the hive for the protein and as you say plants are pollinated along the way.

I doubt it. Popping the roof transforms the van. Also if the weather is miserable you can stand up and stretch your legs 👍

Enjoying your countryside via the vlog, got me wondering how many miles you put on your camper van per year?
Thanks Michelle. We bought the campervan in October 2019 and did 2,700 miles the rest of that year. In 2020 we only did 8,254 miles, a lot less than expected due to Covid. Since lockdown ended in April this year we have driven 5,346 miles.
I like watching you but you really need a bigger van ha ha all the best.

£70 ish in fuel for roughly how many miles? 200, 300 maybe 400 or more? Interested in one of these though I really need to go and see one in person I think to get a proper sense of scale, thanks
We don’t log the mileage between fill ups but I reckon we are averaging over 50 mpg. We do a lot of miles with all the exploring included. Carol might add more info later as she keeps a diary. You absolutely must see one first as they are smaller than it looks. The camera I tend to use inside has a fairly wide angle lense👍
On the Anglesey trip we did about 1,300 miles and spent £157 on diesel in total.
When you get a self driving van you can both sit in the back 😉

@@LifeistooshortCK hello. It's now gated at the entrance. No vehicles, no campervans, no camping, no fires. £500 fine.
I'm not clear on the reason but there are two notions.
1. New government rules surrounding airfields, security. (It is an RAF base)
2. Complaints from locals finally heard and they are protecting the area. The place has been taking a battering for too long. Too many fires creating dead spots everywhere. Piles of nails and metal fragments left over from burning pallets and other waste products. Human waste dumped in the long grass including porta potty dumping. Erosion of the banks and dunes. People taking sand for building and other purposes. Broken glass. Boy racers spinning doughnuts. Motorbikes destroying the dunes.
Basically it was nice before the Internet shared it with everybody. It's not the property of motorhome groups to share, as is often the case with many beauty spots now. The hammer has finally come down.

1:40 - do bees actually gather pollen ? I thought that it was the nectar that they were after and the fact that pollen sticks to them and is transferred to other flowers was just a by-product
Had to look that up now you mention it. Apparently they gather pollen and take it back to the hive for the protein and as you say plants are pollinated along the way.
